"Got a great deal on the Shoreline, even with upgrading to a partial ocean view. They were still in the process of renovations, and there was some confusion with the name, as it changed to Shoreline in April, though most cabs and shuttles knew it as the Seaside. We stayed a week and got to see the whole renovation of the elevators. Coffee machines in rooms were added midway through our stay. The front desk staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They check out beach towels to you so you don't have to buy or bring any with you. Our cleaning staff must have changed mid-week, as once we got coffee in the room, it not only was never cleaned and replaced, but the glasses and dirty cups were never changed either. That was the only complaint we had. We did enjoy eating at the onsite restaurant, and the walk to the main street and beach was less than 5 minutes. Love JDV hotels!"

"I stayed 7 nights at the Shoreline and it exceeded my expectations. Great central location and despite the business of Waikiki, it wasn't noisy. The staff were super friendly and helpful and I had a very comfortable stay there. It's not a luxury hotel but an updated, clean boutique hotel with all the amenities that I needed. I would stay there again."

"I have not been back to Waikiki in 20 years and was quite excited to come back. We chose to stay at the Seaside Hotel Waikiki for cost effectiveness. It had a pool and it stated the rooms were renovated. The room we had was nice and clean. All fixtures in the room were new and clean. The bed alone was worth the stay!!! We slept like babies on that mattress. It had a safe that was a nice surprise. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful when it came to asking directions etc. The cleaning staff was awesome!!! The hotel was being renovated while we were there but never heard any comotion or were disturbed in anyway. The only issue we had was that there was no pool. We booked the hotel for the little pool as sometimes it is nice just to hang out there with no sand. We tried to get to the pool but when we could not find it we went to the front desk to ask they said they had taken it out and there would be no pool. There was a mexican restaurant in the hotel that always seemed to be busy, we just ran out of time to eat there. Other than that little surprise of no pool, we loved the hotel."

"The room and patio was a little small and street noise made it impossible to sit out but on the positive side the room was clean and the bed comfortable. Was disappointed that the roof top pool was closed. Staff very friendly and helpful.

"This hotel was a great deal. The staff was very accommodating to all of my requests. The central location made getting around Waikiki very easy with plenty of shops and restaurants near by. Will definitely stay here again."
