Our stay in this hotel was awesome. My wife and I checked in later in the afternoon with our 2 kids but were greeted by a friendly front desk, Alice. She made the check in process easy. She was so helpful in giving us the direction where to park our car. Our kids didn't had to wait too long while we were doing all these process because Alice was so efficient. When we got to our room, we found a very comfortable and very clean bedroom. When we checked out after 2 days, my daughter was holding a p... Read more

The hotel is good for short stay but you have to pay one extra night even if its early check in and they never ever accept early check in requests unless you pay for one whole extra day. When you travel for almost 11 hours, you need to rest and if you check in even 2 hours early they wont accomodate early check in.

I stayed here because it was conveniently located and less expensive then places I would have liked to stay. Locals from the other islands stay here as well as older people who stayed there before. It seemed vaguely clean, but there were roaches in the room so I left the light on all night - they hide if you do that. Otherwise carry a spray bottle of Simple Green which kills any bug by degreasing it and aim in the dark where you hear noise. The bathroom needed bleach but the sheets seemed clean ... Read more

My son, girlfriend, and I stayed here for two nights. The online booking was simple and easy, as was the check in process. The hotel is older however, everything was clean and well maintained. All of the staff was very pleasant. The hotel was only a few blocks from several restaurants and the mall. I would stay here again!

This is a great hotel but not close to the hustle-bustle of Waikiki which is why I like it so much. This is my home-away-from-home in Honolulu. The hotel is clean and safe and secure for single women. There are food places nearby and the mall is 2 blocks away. Shoppers will appreciate Walmart for last-minute souvenirs, drinks and snacks. The staff is friendly and helpful. I don't stay anywhere else in Honolulu - the Pagoda makes me feel like I'm a "local."

I continue to be amazed with the service I received when registering at the front desk. I was met with a wonderful holiday smile and greetings from both Debbie Arakaki and Alice Pastoral as Debbie searched her computer for my unexpected early arrival. Both she and Alice always make me feel like I am back home again and they are going out of their way to exceed my service expectations. First impressions will make or break your stay and they have not yet failed me. I don't expect they ever wi... Read more

Do not look at the stars classification: a NICE hotel in the shopping area of Honolulu !!! we had 3 great overnights stays as part of a group: friendly & helpful staff, great-spacious-clean rooms with all the amenities ( and possible more) You would find in Waikiki but in a much peaceful atmosphere. We used to book in Waikiki area but now we have been converted to The Pagoda Hotel: we will be back.
