We stayed here for 2 nights prior to boarding our NCL cruise in Honolulu. It has excellent views (loved our patio) and is right across the street from Waikiki Beach. Complimentary beach towels and easy filtered water taps for water bottles were fabulous. It is not a brand new hotel, but was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

By far an excellent location. However the hotel is tired and dated and in need of a massive refurbishment. I had a oceanfront room and the view is exceptional. Sitting on the balcony every evening watching the world go by is priceless. I didn't use the restaurants except the outdoor cafe but it was good food and always busy. The shrimp shack outside the hotel is very good. After walking past all the time the smell of garlic will eventually pull you in. The pool is smaller than most domestic poo... Read more

Pacific beach hotel is strategically located along Kalakakua Avenue and is very near the beachfront. My family and I had a really great time strolling along Waikiki beach. The hotel is outdated and needs a lot more touch to compete with other hotels nearby. We were given Room 1260 with a partial ocean view. The room is clean but dreary. The breakfast buffet has the same menu for the 5 days we're there. But what I recommend is their Garlic Shrimp. This is by far the best I've ever tasted. Thum... Read more

The Location is perfect, straight across the road from the beach. Unfortunately there is a fair bit of renovation works planned to start shortly so the aquarium is closed as well as the pool. Our room is OK, but fairly out dated for the price you are paying. All the shops and restaurants are close by. Bus stop is just down the road.

Well, Day 1 didn't go so well. First off, We booked this Honeymoon Suite Last year, but when we got there our reservation wasn't in the computer. Next thing, same day they just throw us in a room because the room we booked was occupied. The room was regular, but we had to listen to construction that whole day. Day 2 got a little better. They change our room to where it was supposed to be in the first place. That made us happy. Customer service was good. The Aquarium room (reception area)was awe... Read more

We enjoyed a 7 night stay at the Pacific Beach Hotel during the middle of April, and were very happy with our experience. The prices are fantastic for a property with such great views. We arrived around midday but we're able to check in to our room early which was great. We stayed in the ocean tower on the 22nd floor, which included awesome views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond head. The room was clean and the beds were super comfy! It was great that the hotel had such a large driveway/lobby were y... Read more

This Hotel locates right in front of the famous Waikiki Beach, so you donā??t need a car. We have been this Hotel for the past 18 years. Pacific Beach Hotel is very popular to Japanese as well as American tourists. The Hotel is under renovation, we stayed on 26th Floor, the noises starts from 8:30 am and ended around 4 pm. You can still feel the excitement of guests at this property, in spite of renovations going on. The beach is immediately across the street. The rooms are acceptable now, but will be exceptional when all renovations are finished. Certainly recommend staying at this hotel while the price is still cheap. The Oceanarium (Aquarium) is closed, but with the ocean steps away, who needs it (though it was wonderful). It will be reopening and will probably be better than before.

We loved the location of this hotel: its right on the beach and so you really do not need a car. Waikiki beach is beautiful, clean and has great beginner surfing. There are little ABC stores everywhere where you can buy groceries, souvenirs and booze....super handy. The hotel has a good shrimp stand where you can get garlic shrimp or chicken. Rooms were good sized, overly air conditioned (aka freezing when you first walk in!) and a little dated but still a decent hotel room. They are undergoing ... Read more

Stayed one night enroute to departing Oahu. So sad. But at least we got to spend our last night here. Cuz, this was a good place to stay. Location - well, the beach is across the street. What can you say to that. Plus, it's that part of the beach with the rock wall breaking the Waves, creating a nice "swimming pool" for the kids. Check in was smooth and painless. They give each of us a reusable, collapsible water bottle. Loved it. Filled it with filtered (I hope) water near the elevator ... Read more

We stayed at the hotel mid May 2016, booking it was no issues, but when we got there, we were told some balconies were closed and that we had a choice of taking the room without a balcony, and get 2 dinner vouchers, or 4 breakfast vouchers. We had a newly refurbished room on the 33rd floor (3364). A reasonably sized room with a balcony and views over Diamond Head and the Ocean. Initially we were offered a room with partial ocean view and city view at check in. As our booking was for a Ocean View room, we insisted having a better view which we got at the end. We stayed here on an overnight from Sydney to Vancouver. Pacific Beach hotel is an older hotel and is in need of updating. The room was clean enough and bed comfortable. Shower is in the bath. All hotels in Honolulu are overpriced and this is no exception for a 2-3 Star hotel. The elevators were very slow. Hotel is in a good location. The hotel was very clean. The rooms were ok, outdated a little. The air-conditioned did not seem to cool very good. Don't pay for a partial view room, unless you want to hang over the balcony to see it. Staff was very friendly and nice and were very helpful. The hotel was under construction so the pool was closed and the oceanarium restraunt. Parking is ridiculous, you have to pay to PARK. Overall, we were very satisfied with our rooms and the staff.
