"Check-in was very poor, unfriendly staff, the problem was I arrived early due to flight times I was offered early check-in if I took a room on 3rd level which I did but room key-pad had not been re-set...I had to make two trips to room with all luggage, waiting a long time in line at reception each time to explain that key-pad was not working...very frustrating. In the end would have been better to stay at a higher level as there would have been a view at least. The washroom that can be used in the lobby after check-out while waiting for an evening flight was flithy by the afternoon, unbearable to use. Also computer in lobby is pay-per minute, very very frustrating to use.
Room old, bathroom not updated, peeling wall paper, old shower, old coffee-maker that need replacing years ago ..heating surface corroded.
Advantages were grocery store next door, central location, enthusiastic activity staff."

"We were so sorry ro have booked again,we stay every two years for the past 17 years we were on the 14th floor as usual,we could not have a shower for the stay the shower was full of milldew a most disgisting mess,no other rooms were avaiable, also asked for a late check out, were were on the red eye to vancouver, could not do that, asked could we pay for aonther night, have often done this as we are seniors in our 80's and hanging around 8-10 hours not good, again no,so we say goodbye to ohana west and will find someone more accomodating.nnnnn "

"Overall i think the Ohana Waikiki West was fine. It was a little on the old side but well kept at any rate. I think the rugs could have been kept cleaner though i wasn't comfortable walking barefoot on them. The staff seemed friendly and helpful and I was very impressed with the courtesy sweet that I was able to use at the end of the day. I would stay here again in a pinch."

"Stayed at Ohana Waikiki West the first time when my wife was in Queens Hospital. I found the place through Queens Hospital housing office. The rates are very reasonable considering it's location is Waikiki Beach and close to just about everything there. Service is always friendly and effecient. About the only amenity you don't get here is free breakfast. You get everything else such as free internet, free health club and pool, and free trolly as far as the Ala Moana Mall. Rooms are clean and quiet and havinga ketchenette makes if convenient to cook your own meals with a grocery store across the street. Much better on the budget and health instead of going out to restaurants."
