Our visit, part of a Costco package, was for two nights. The entrance, with all of the pedestrian traffic, was a little difficult to see and pull up to. Due to overbooking, we received an "upgrade" to a larger, but old style suite which we did not like for several reasons. We complained and the next day, we were given the room we had reserved along with credit for two days parking which was $50 and had not been included in the Costco package. The new room was very nice and what one would expect ... Read more

Booked her for three nights and missed my connecting flight in Phoenix so I called to reduce the stay to two nights. The staff accommodated the request without hesitation although they technically didn't have to do so because of the late notice. Although the hotel is not right on the beach I wouldn't expect it for the cost. The walk is about seven minutes to the public beach. The property is centrally located to lot's a good dining options and shopping. The property seems to cater to Asian tou... Read more

This is not a fancy luxury hotel. Not„??a„??ocean„??view„??neither.„??But„??hospitality„??of„??staff„??is„??the„??best„??in„??Waikiki.„??Everytime„??I visit here, they call me by name. It start from check-in time." You must be Mr.***" "How did you find out?" And it makes me feel coming back home. When I found out what "OHANA" means in Hawaiian language, all the story became consent. I love this hotel.

This hotel is fantastic. The main shopping street is round the other side of the block. It is in the middle of waikiki so everything is easily accessible. The waikiki trolley stops right outside the hotel which will take you to the shopping mall. All other trolleys are within the Galleria shopping centre literally around the corner. The local bus also stops outside the hotel which will take you to Honolulu and to othwr parts of the island. The other tourist trips have pickups outside Ross which... Read more

I travel to Honolulu 3-4 time a year, and this was the first time I stayed at the Ohana Waikiki Malia. The staff, room cleanliness, location and amenities were top notch. We found our new hotel in Waikiki!

Not impressed , quite noisy on second floor due to traffic noise, get a room on a higher floor, could have been cleaned better as there was mold on ceiling of bathroom. On a positive the staff was friendly and helpful, easy access to pink line and close walking to beach and shopping. Hotel was in a nice location but walking distance from the beach so if your looking for a water view this is not your place.

We landed at 6:30am and went straight to our hotel. We were advised that checkin would be at 4pm. They were extremely friendly and accepted our luggage and showed us to a bathroom to freshen up. They called us only a few hours later to let us know they had a room available. The rooms were very well kept and service at the front desk was always friendly. Look forward to our next visit to Honolulu .

The staff is pleasant, but the layout is not convienent. The elevators are broken often, and it is hard to get to parking levels. you have to go to the front desk everytime you want to use the fitness center and the elevators make moving around the building a pain. The parking garage is dangerous!

honest review im on the 8th floor (803) im here for 29 days..this hotel is busy there is alot of turn over. alot..with that being said the rooms look like they have seen alot of traffic. i dont mind that its not updated but the rooms are run down. at 225 a night with the mandatory resort fee and 25 a day to park i cant find the value. i feel like im staying at motel six for 225 a night. the bathrooms are moldy a bit, the tubs are dirty, and when i checked there was someone else pubs and hai... These 18 years, I stay at the way back from Big Island for 1 night continuously. It's being remodeled, but facilities' being old isn't avoided, and if it's a stay on 5-6th, the hotel with a little higher hotel charges may be preferred. If it's a short-term, the location is good and the stuff is very friendly and if a cost are considered, thinks as the best hotel.

We wanted to save a few bucks so we picked this hotel and glad we did location is perfect in the heart of it all with short walks , They helped us book tours and were nice , Parking is a-little strange go to IHOP parking but once we figured it out , after three trips around the block it was cool, service good , rooms simple but nice and clean , not a resort but a good solid Hotel , but since we were not looking for a resort, perfect and the saving well worth it Yes I would book here again.

Very nice location close to waikiki and surroundings with a short walk. Friendly staff & Clean hotel. CHeaper than rest of the hotels but the quality is perfect. If you are willing to save a few bucks go for it. Staff told us about a helicopter ride which we've choosen to do (will do a diferent review about it).

My husband and I Just love returning and staying at the Ohana Malia. The staff are lovely and treat us well, we always feel so welcome, so we keep returning. The rooms are a generous size, and having a laundry and gym, plus swimming pool, is an added bonus. The location is very central, with the free shuttle and bus stop straight across the road. The Beach is only a short walk away and there are a variety of bars and eating places, and of course, shopping, close by. We highly recommend y... Read more

We were a family party of 8, and had booked AND PREPAID for four rooms, for 2 nights on our way back to Auckland from Kaua'i. When we arrived, we were told there was only ONE room booked!!! After waiting around in the lobby for a good while, they eventually told us we had rooms - all on different floors! Then, the DAY BEFORE we were due to check out, I found they had charged my credit card for the room (and 'incidentals") When I approached the Manager, he just told me to "ring the bank" and walk... We stayed here because it was part of an iCruise package for Hawaii. This package provided a two-night stay at a hotel. We were assigned this one. Roy Shimabuku was very hospitable. Roy had the vouchers ready for our visit that was attached with the package. Each time I asked about a place to get something to eat, he was more than helpful. He provided us a map and highlighted the route for us. He even followed up with asking us how it was. I was looking for a post office and the lady who w... Read more
