This hotel is usually one of the cheapest on Waikiki beach area. The room was small but adequate and clean. It is a small walk to the beach thus less costly than others. When I stayed there one could use other properties they own when you show your key. I used the one on the beach and used towels too for free.

Front desk staff friendly and cheerful. Rooms are small, but otherwise OK. Good views from higher floors rather spoilt by ageing film on windows. The restaurant at the hotel has recently closed, so you have to go out to eat. There is a convenient snack bar just opposite which is good for breakfast and there are other eating places within a five to ten minute walk. There is a car rental location just a couple of minutes walk away which is very convenient-we reserved a car through an agent in the... Read more

I didn't like that I was given a room by the elevator. I asked to be changed rooms since the 1st one only had a shower and not a bathtub. I didn't like that I had to keep taking my computer to the lobby to read my email. Why not have free wifi in the room? Many hotel do nowadays.

This is a much older hotel and so the rooms, although big, smells musty. Could only open the window a tiny gap and no balcony. Was charged to use the safe in the room on checkout but was not informed at check-in that it costs extra! Could not access the free wifi in the room (unless one used a laptop) and so could only use it in the lobby area. Location average as it was between the town and waikiki beach area.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed here. The reason, the location, the staff and a great price. Its not the Hilton, but I didn't expect it to be. I was greeted early in the morning by Adele. So lovely and refreshing. She could see that we had been on a long flight and was exhausted and advised us that even though check-in time is 3 pm she could get us in a 1pm. I also asked if I could be upgraded to an overview room, and she replied she had already done so. THANK YOU Adele !!!!! We went out to g... Read more

Woken at 4.30am instead of 5.30am on wake up call. I had to be moved due to noise from renovations. old and musty rooms, Was charged the resort fee yet could not use the facilities and finally got my money back. No response from my email sent a week ago. Not impressed.

Overall: nice service, great location, amenities are garbage, rooms are lousy, and the place is overall kinda depressing. Location: excellent, with easy access from the front on Kuhio and the side on Namahana. A short walk to all the best shopping and sights in Waikiki. If you have a high floor room, that means your view will be pretty good as mine was of the Ala Wai and hill section of the city from the 30th floor. Check-in: smooth, with friendly staff. Open-air lobby is the nice, island-v... Read more

I was not really happy with the room. Everything looks old and out dated. My television was at least something back in the 1990s and the curtains were faded. nothing to brag about I paid 190 bucks this room was only worth in my opinion 80 bucks a night

Although the lobby and exterior of this hotel were nice, the rooms were very outdated, dirty and lacked amenities, showers had rust and were unclean, not worth the money however one of the cheaper hotels located centrally compared to other hotels. Stayed for one night before embarking on the NCL pride of america cruise.

First they gave my reservation away, had to rebook. Not to mention they are doing renevations and didnt bother to tell me about it, also wont't give a discount for the inconvience. Then the next day I come from getting breakfast, told the dront desk personnel that I woud be extending for another night in a little and the water was turned off without any heads up from the front dresk & i had a meeting to go to. Then after dinner time I try to pay for my room the next day and they were booked! The... Read more

Ms. Gladys and Rebecca gave excellent customer service. The room was outstanding. I would recommend this hotel for everyone. I felt like I was at home. When I visit oahu this is the place I will always stay.

I found the hotel fine for the 4 nights we stayed. The front desk staff were polite and answered all our questions. The room may be small but we weren't there to stay in the room. The pool was out of order but didn't bother us. Have booked again for November, after all, it's only a bed and shower you need!!

Although under restauration until 2017, the hotel is nice, clean, staff is very freindly and helpful. You don't mention noise or restrictions anyway. Sure, you can see construction activities but who cares... From Maile you can walk along the Beach and enjoy Waikiki Beach and Nightlife. Our 5 day trip to Oahu was great, day and night.

We stayed there for 8 nights in May, we had a Micro wave, fridge. TV.Rooms were small but clean. Bus across from Hotel. I have stayed there ever time I am in Honolulu which was 1992 thru 2016. When in Hawaii I looked for a clean room and Maile Sky met my requirements I found that why pay $350 for a place just to sleep. TGI Friday used to be in the hotel. At this time there is no place to eat there.

We stayed in here in May of 2012 for a week. It was a decent hotel, affordable at the time. Its about a block away from the beach. My husband absolutely loved the restaurant that was in the hotel. Everyone was very friendly and we had a great experience. I would recommend if you're in a budget. It is not fancy but has all your necessities.

My wife and I visited Waikiki for a friend's wedding recently and booked two nights at Maile Sky. The staff was very polite and quite helpful overall. The hotel is pretty big, and seemed to be pretty full (outside of floors under renovation). It is located near the Ala Wai Canal, and probably about a 15 minute walk to Royal Hawaiian Center and the beach, very doable. The room we stayed in was on the 43rd floor (out of 44 total floors), and while the room was compact, it was very clean and had a... Read more

We just stayed again at Maile Sky Court, for my Wife's Birthday. We are returning customers to the hotel, and even though some areas were closed for remodeling (which I was told when making reservations) it is still our favorite Local Waikiki Hotel. The room upgrades are beautiful and comfortable. USB ports and outlets on both nightstands, bathroom, showers, closets, and refrigerators all brand new. This is the BEST central location for visitors, located at the middle of Waikiki, so you can walk... Read more

The rooms are small but very clean and very nice and modern. The resort fees were very reasonable especially in comparison to other ones we have paid. Parking was $35 a night and we would have opted to utilise parking around the area for $15 or free on the canal if we were staying for longer. We were upgraded to a larger bed and higher floor when we mentioned it was our honeymoon without asking. Great service, nice hotel at a reasonable price. There was no cutlery or dining equipment in the stan... Read more

Maile Sky Court (which will soon be Holiday Inn Express) is my favorite hotel every time I travel to Hawaii. I stayed in the hotel first week of September 2916 (for 7 nights) and although the place is being renovated, I was amazed of how they have transformed the floors and the rooms, modern-wise -- embracing the rise and usage of modern technology -- the rooms are different in style from the past years when I annually stay and use the rooms. I will not be surprised by the time I go back nex... Read more

We arrived to check in only to be told that our rate of $140 was $10 less than their 'standard rate' so we would have to pay more. We were also told that if we didn't provide a credit card for the $50 room key deposit they would deduct $350 from a debit card instead which they couldn't guarantee would be refunded upon check out. This annoyed me the most as I feel for ppl who don't have credit cards and are on tight travel budgets. The rooms were clean, bathroom was good, however we ... Read more

This hotel is sub-par for Waikiki. The rooms are old, few updates. I had an old tube TV! This was in the Spring of 2016 so maybe the hotel has updated. Vacationer beware. Call them and ask about the rooms. Customer service was good, not excellent but the front desk was helpful.

I left my macbook charged and opened the lid because i was uploading my photos. When I came back after a brielf walk outside, the computer was unplugged and the lid was closed! Worse, my computer will not turn back on. I called the housekeeping supervisor. He said he would talk to the maid who cleaned my room. He called back shortly and said that the maid never touched my computer! Ok, then was it some sort of ghost who did this then? As of now, the issue has not been resolved - no one is will... Read more

Hotel has been refurbished so is quite nice in the rooms. However lobby area still under reservations. Hotel it within walking distance on Waikiki and beach. Also close to ala Moana shopping centre which I don't recommend. Better and cheaper to shop in Waikiki. Bus stop close by approx 2 blocks to go to the airport. If u take a bus doesn't matter where u go it only costs 2.50. U can't get change from bus driver so give correct fare. Also they don't like large bags to be carried on bus. However t... Read more
