"There was a bit of confusion when we arrived regarding the credit card arrangement but the staff was very helpful and we got it all sorted out. They upgraded us to a 1 bedroom from the studio suite. The room was clean. We had the full kitchen and everything was included. We needed an extra pan for breakfast and they had no problem giving us another one. One thing I wish they did do was leave at least a travel size dish soap in the kitchen sink, however the maids did do our dishes everyday. They swept the floor everyday but my feet got real dirty the only thing I wish was different was that they mopped daily. I don't think it was mopped the whole 8 nights we were there. They supplied toilet paper and left travel size bath stuff. The staff was excellent very helpful and always cheerful. We will definitely be returning to Waikiki and would consider the Holiday Surf again. It's only 2 blocks from the beach and has a beautiful view of the Ala Wai Canal and golf course."

"My flight was late arriving in Honolulu so when I arrived I was sent to an apartment. This unit had been recently completely renovated and was nicely furnished But at my request I was transferred to the Holiday Surf Hotel.

My suite had a large bathroom that had just been refurbished. The tub/shower was perfect for either soaking or showering. The bedroom was also large and had been repainted recently. Very comfortable queen size bed. Flat screen TV.
The living room and kitchenette was also newly redecoated. There was a single bed in that room and a 2nd TV.. The view of the canal and the mountains from the balcony was amazing. Everything was supplied for the kitchenette all I had to buy was my groceries and there was a supermarket just around the corner that had everything I needed.

The staff were polite, friendly and did all they could to make my stay comfortable. The Hotel had a nice family feeling. and I will be returning there next year.

"The room decor felt outdated but the location was fantastic! We walked only a few blocks to the beach and restaurants and shopping! It was $15 to park our rental each night (no biggie) and some jerk kept parking in our spot, called the front desk and it was no prob to park in another spot. We were right on the canal and except for a few motorcycles it was quiet. I would definatley stay here again!"
