Our family (2 adults and 2 boys 8 & 11) stayed here for a night. The hotel has a very spacious feel due to the enormous lobby area. The main lifts were out of action on the eve of our visit and all guests were diverting through the service elevators. The room itself was great - although we had a bit of trouble trying to access the wifi. Staff were excellent.

I have been here a number of times on business. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Great little bar/pub in the lobby and a sushi restaurant that is one of the best on the island. If you like breakfast buffets, you have to hit up the main restaurant on the second floor.

Two Aunties and my mom share a suit every year in Hawaii. The last two years we have decided to stay at The Hawaii Prince. It is a beautiful hotel, not 5 Star but very nice! Most importantly it is in a lovely location!! Walking distance from Waikiki Beach as well as Ala Moana shopping center.

The Hawaii Prince is showing her age, but still very nice. We where there for 8 days and found the staff very helpful and the service was exactly what I have come to expect at a 4* hotel. The shuttle to and from Ala Moana Centre, and the beach area was very helpful, but only starts at 12:30pm so this means you need your walking shoes for anything in the mornings.

Some friends recommended staying here as they've stayed twice before and said it was excellent - good value for money and a great location. So we thought we would give it a try and they were right - it was an excellent choice. The staff were really friendly at check-in and a couple of times during our stay we approached the front desk with queries and we always received a smile and friendly, helpful service. We were up on the 23rd floor and our room and bathroom were very spacious - it was jus... Read more

I accompanied my partner on his business trip so there was no option to stay elsewhere (he was in conference every day and I was on holidays). I had read reviews and was worried before we arrived. Yes, the hotel is dated but it served our purpose. The carpet was new with flat screen tv. The rooms were a good size and the bathroom also a good size - with separate shower and bathtub. (I had friends staying in Waikiki along the beach at a big brand hotel and they said their rooms were also dated -... Read more

A large but comfortable hotel that is within walking distance of Waikiki in one direction and Alamoana shopping Centre in the other. The hotel is clean and comfortable but it is nearing the stage where it will need a renovation. Some of the rooms look a bit tired with stains and wallpaper starting to separate. The dining areas tend to support Asian type food and will be popular with Asian visitors. But the dining areas always have the fish sauce smell that goes with that. The odour can permea... Read more

The hotel was ok... the pool looks much better in the photos. The room was good, nice sized bathroom. It's a few minutes walk to the beach and much better looking hotels. It was very clear they cater heavily to Japanese tourists. Venue was run down in a few places. With so many options nearby, not sure I would stay here again.

Hotel was large but outdated. Tiny exercise room for this large of a hotel. Rooms very dated. No balcony which was disappointing. Wouldn't stay here again. Rather stay at Moana Surfrider Westin property. Nice view of marina and sunset. Valet or self parking. Expensive resort fee of $30 that included wifi, self parking and 2 house wines or basic cocktails.

The bed was good, the room and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The service, view, and location was Fab. Breaky was overpriced and geared more towards the Asian market. The wifi was a fail as was the gym but with the location, you don't need a gym. Also got 1 free hour of ww calls daily.

Great hotel , and friendly staff. View from high floor ocean view just amazing. Decor just a little tired but hotel has just started a refurb program. Hotel is at eastern end of Waikiki so maybe not central to restaurants etc , but courtesy shuttle bus is provided. Nice pool on 5th floor, which also has good views over marina

what a superb accomodation choice for my first trip to Hawaii. My wife and I were spoiled to stay in a suite at the Hawaii Prince Hotel. Situated overlooking the harbour and the stunning beaches and right on the edge of pure paradise we stayed a couple of nights here and loved every second of it The staff were awesome, the beds were unbelievable and even the bathrooms were heavenly. I will stay here again if I am ever in the area.

A nice hotel within walking distance to the beaches of Waikiki. You do not have ready access to the beach from the front of your hotel. There is a 500m walk to reach the main beach area. The Hotel is right across the road from the marina. Rooms and quality of the utilities are reasonable. Size of room is sound. Make sure you ask for a ocean view if booking in. The view is spectacular from the window of your room. Staff at the hotel are helpful. Be mindful when seeking assistance from th... Read more

The hotel is currently undergoing renovation, which was not mentioned when booking. The renovation has blocked the entire lobby and hotel bar, and they occasionally shut off the water. To make up for it, they gave us 2 free drink coupons...to the bar that doesn't exist. I tried to use them at the pool (the restaurant offered to deliver drinks there) and the drinks never came. Also, the check in desk always had a long line whenever I needed anything.

After Booking months prior we showed up to a room that smelled like mold and had holes in the wall. Staff didn't even try to fix until we asked. After all of that none of the restaurants were open and the only place to have a drink closes at 5pm. The staff is very rude and the entire hotel reminds you of the 60's. Do your best to stay somewhere else as I'm sure you will have a much better experience. My first time to Hawaii and most likely my last. Complete tourist trap.

I stayed at the Hawaii Pronce for five nights in June 2016. The 4-star hotel is very conveniently located for walking tours through Waikiki, downtown Honolulu, and to the shopping center "next door". My room was reasonably large, clean, quiet and had a nice view overlooking the marina. Pool and jacuzzi are also okay for a swim or a warm bath; although their location outside on the 5th floor are not the most appealing. The hotel bar in the lobby is good for a glass of wine in the evening, but no... Read more

The view from the hotel is amazing!! Biggest windows ever and once you open them the air conditioner turns off automatically. The photos online do not do it justice. You can also see the fireworks from your hotel room. The staff at the hotel were super warm, friendly and awesome as well, which made the experience even better. This hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the Ala Moana Center and is a 15-20 minute walk from the center of Waikiki (e.g. DSF store area). There are also many free shuttle... Read more

Booked this hotel as part of a vacation package for my wife and I to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The rooms overlook the harbor. Loved the location because it is near Waikiki but not in the busiest part of town. Very near the Ala Moana mall. A convenient shuttle will take you to all of Waikiti throughout day and night. We also booked numerous tours which picked us up at the hotel. Hotel lobby is very large, clean, and modern which makes for a great first impression. Room was large, clean, an... Read more

We booked this hotel after searching for months for the perfect place. It was our first trip to Hawaii and I wanted everything to be just right. We had a two bedroom, two bath suite and it was very nice. It was older and could use some updates. The restaurant at the hotel had awesome food. The staff was very friendly. It bothers me that they advertise this as ocean front, you can see the ocean but it is a very long walk to the beach! Especially when you have beach chairs and umbrellas. The conci... Read more

We were forewarned about the remodeling when we booked a trip through "big box travel" for a discounted price. I'd recommend that you check the hotel out after they're done. The hotel was still nice, but dated. There is no bar/lounge for now. Meals are room service or buffets. They did offer two golf club passes. The location is convenient, right on the border of Ala Moana and Waikiki. Easy walk to Magic Island or to the Hilton beach. They do have a lot of Japanese visitors, but wha... Read more

We took this room unseen for one night booking through Hotwire as a 4 star hotel. The hotel is a bland high rise building at the west end of Waikiki where skyscraper hotels predominate. It was 4 star prices but not 4 star value. Our 8th room was small with scuffed woodwork. There was a nice view over the harbour and towards the west. The marble bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom, with separate shower and bath and a Japanese toilet. It took a visit by the tech man to get the wi fi ... Read more

We stayed at the hotel for the weekend. It was very clean, comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly. The only suggestion I would have, would be to have adult pool hours from 8 PM to 11 PM. It is hard to relax by the pool when during the day. The hotel is located right on the harbor. It has great views. It is easy location to access as well. I recommend this hotel.
