We stayed for the first time at the timeshare and it was better than anticipated. Great rooms, great staff and wonderful location. We will definitely be back -- great location within Hilton Hawaiian Village; and very close to everything down in Waikiki.

The vent in the kitchen needed new charcoal as messaged on the microwave board. This caused the room to have a lingering smell way past the cooking and the smoke alarm to go off. Also, on the mid week cleaning, the kitchen was not cleaned. The stove top was left dirty with all the hardened drippings I had during cooking.

We stayed a week at the Grand Waikikian and the resort is showing it's age. At best its a 3 star facility. We were there last in 2011 and was great but it has went down hill. The room was in need of paint and repairs, bathroom was dingy The shower leaked into the hall. It had been this way for sometime as the baseboard was rotten. When you call for the front desk or service you end up on hold for 5 minutes. I had to call twice to get towels delivered. I asked concierge where we could find live m... Read more

This village is amazing. It has spa's, restaurants, bars, cafes, takeaway, Starbucks x3 all in one site. The 5 pools are awesome, equipped with water slides. The man made lagoon is great for all water sports. Plus the beautiful beach is also right there. It has the best of everything. The apartment style means u can relax and even cook or have take out meals in your room at the dining table very comfortably. The fireworks on Friday nights is a highlight. This place really does have it all.

Overall good. The resort suits my family's purposes - shopping and pool/beach play for my 1-year-old daughter. Location near Ala Moana Center and multiple pools + lagoon + beach were the best. Food review not so good, so we didn't dine in the resort. That was not a trouble because good restaurants are nearby.

Was privileged to go to Hawaii with an invitation from a good friend. Our suite was small for 4 persons but we made do for the adventure. The bedroom was tight because it had the bathtub in the corner of the bedroom. With only one bathroom in the unit was a problem as well. We stayed in the penthouse on the 38th floor. It had excellent views of the coastline, into the city. The penthouse was a double suite, that is larger than most apartments! We had our own private clubhouse, which was excellent. The Grand Waikikian is a part of a larger block of Hilton properties. I recommend going behind the resort to the other Hilton properties. There, they have several shops, eateries and lagoons.

What you would expect from a Hilton - or any other resort for that matter. Over-priced food, drinks, and (very) expensive shopping. We aren't really resort-people, so for us this was a bit ordinary. You are very close to Waikiki beach which is a plus. Rooms are ok and appear to be updated. Still some funky smells, though. Wifi is not good and continues to drop. If you enjoy resort-life, you will like this, otherwise consider an Airbnb somewhere on the island.

If you want a good ocean view unit, you need to be careful. You may spend some good money and wouldn't get what you expect. The view we had there was a big tower in front of us. We also experienced some discomforts such as room smell and shower water issues.

We had just been a few days on Maui at the Napili shores hotel with another couple and we're looking forward to visiting Honolulu. We were staying at the grand watching Hotel on the Hilton complex. Right from the start, we had trouble with our reservations. I was very disappointed in my stay at the Hilton Grand Waikikian hotel in Honolulu. We where promised a wheel chair, only to find out if we want to use it more than just going to the room we would have to rent one. We couldn't get the room... Read more

Impressive grounds, pools, beach, even the lobby. Plenty of restaurants with reasonable prices for Honolulu. As a wheelchair bound paraplegic, this was one on the best places I have stayed. Room had everything within reach. Open space in living room and even a built in ramp to the balcony. Highly reccommend.

We own many Hilton timeshare properties and this is our first time staying at the GW tower in the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Location is great, co- sharing direct access to the Lagoon Tower, convenient to the Paradise pool, man made lagoon, beach and the street for public transportation and restaurants outside of the resort. We had a 2 bedroom ocean view, full kitchen, washer/dryer in unit., balcony with partial view of Kalakaua. I'd suggest requesting the Diamond Head side for better views. We a... Read more

Hilton Grand Waikiki is an elegant hotel with a friendly and helpful staff from reception to check-out. Had a two-bedroom condo arrangement with balcony, that suited us well. Extremely clean and well appointed. Variety of activities available as well as stores and shopping.

We love staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village, but especially the Grand Waikikian. We prefer an ocean view, but that was unavailable this time? The Tropics restaurant has very good food and our favorite waiter there is Ramfis. The pool cocktail girls, Melissa and Stephanie are great. It is nice to have the Accents store downstairs for items and food which we may need during our visit.

We just got back from 2 weeks at the Hilton Grand Waikikian. We were in room 2603 a two bedroom premier. The view was superb, great view of the ocean, hilton village and part of Diamond Head. We really enjoyed the luau we could watch for free each night. The show was below our lani, about 20 floors down. Very nice view of the fireworks over the lagoon, blocked a tiny bit by the lagoon tower. Nice sunrise off the lani, but could not see the sunset. Room was awesome, nice and clean, great siz... The Grand Waikikian was very nice in the fact that everything you want or needed from a market to get eggs and bread to Benihana's restaurant on the corner was all accessible all in the village. They had plenty of activities to keep you busy if you wanted to stay on site and there we're plenty of concierge services to help if you wanted to do a little site seeing, which we took full advantage of. I had an unfortunate incident where I had to be taken to the ER and the village was nice enough to p... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon. Though we enjoyed our stay (mostly due to spending much of our time outside of the hotel), I would not recommend staying here. If you plan to explore Honolulu and Oahu during your time, you can spend much less on a better quality hotel. If I were to do it all again, although may/may not loose out on the HHonors points, I would have stayed elsewhere and engaged in all of the same activities (Circle Island Tour, visit restaurants and bakeries, and visit b... We enjoyed a great vacation week with friends at the Gran Hilton Waikiki Resort. Close to shopping, restaurants and great sunset walks. Pools or beach, your choice. Great rooms were quiet despite being in the heart of it all. We were very pleased.

My room was supposed to be a studio with a kitchenette. It's so small I can barely move around in it. There is no kitchenette. It's just a regular room that I could have gotten for about 50$ a night cheaper at the regular Hilton Hawaiian Village. Doesn't feel very special. Just stay at HHV.

You will pay for everything and it isn't affordable. We wanted to stay out of the sun in the lagoon area and it cost us almost 60.00 for an umbrella and two lounges. I've never had to pay to sit under an umbrella. The lagoon area closes at 5:00pm. The paradise pool closes at 7:00pm. While you can go to the superpool, it isn't heated so it was too cold for the kids to play in. You will pay close to 30.00 for three single cone ice creams. Be prepared to part with your money.

Loved the hotel complex. Stayed in a two bedroom apartment with a wonderful view. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. There are so many beautiful areas in this resort and it is in a great position. Have no hesitation in recommending it.

This hotel has easy access to the Hilton Rainbow Tower and Village restaurants, and shops, and the water. Parking was relatively easy and the garage was right next to the hotel. The balcony provided a nice view of the busy Ala Moana Blvd and the neighboring ancient Ilikai Hotel and a partial view of the ocean on the left. Although our room is on a lower floor we did not hear any street noises. The rooms are spacious with comfortable clean beds. A great feature is the big deep bath tub which cam... Read more

We stayed at the Grand Waikikian Village for a week. It's truly a little village of its own. Lots of shops, restaurants, bar and grills, etc.. There's even a couple of pools. This little village is nestled on Waikiki beach. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Great place to visit as a couple or bring the family! Wonderful property; great location; fantastic staff. It was just the best of everything! The view of the beach from the 27th floor of our suite was priceless. Though we didn't spend quality time on the balcony, we were able to visit other parts of the island with ease due to the location in which we lived. The eateries around the Hawaiian Village were great as well as the restaurants on property. A GRAND VACATION! By the way, a family member purchased a timeshare as well. It was simply a DRE... Stayed here for our second visit. Stayed on a high floor with ocean view. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. Lots of places to eat in walking distance and within the resort area. Many tours pick up here as well so you don't have to get a car. . Parking was a little expensive but if you want to go to the North Shore and other areas of the island, renting a car is the way to go. The rooms were clean and guest services was quick to address any requests.

We went for 7 nights in October 2016. Even though we arrived late evening, there was a full staff there to relieve and garland us with their very nice nut lei. Check was fast. Our rooms were the one bedroom suites. The rooms were very clean, nicely furnished and nicely set up. The kitchen in the suite was also very nicely appointed and quite large. We just returned from a week long stay at the Grand Waikikian, and we enjoyed every minute of it. We booked a two bedroom and a one bedroom, as our grown children and grandson travelled with us. We had the one bedroom, which was spacious for two people. The suite included a sitting/living room with an attached kitchen area, a bath, and a bedroom with king sized bed. The bedroom had a large jetted tub, and the bathroom had a shower. It was very quiet, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was equipp... Read more
