The Aqua Pacific is in a fantastic location close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We spent 10 nights in a one bedroom apartment and although the hotel is dated it is clean and the staff are amazing. The roof top pool and spa were great although being up high they do cop the wind. The view from up there is amazing!! We had a fantastic holiday with another family that we traveled with and would definitely stay here again.

My friends and I have stayed at Pacific Monarch 5 times and look forward to coming back again! Friendly staff, Danny is exceptionally helpful, clean, good location, wonderful views. We have not had a bad experience ever! Easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shopping, bus stops, groceries. It really has it all! The roof top pool is nice, but can be windy and busy at times. The elevators can be a little slow, but the other travellers are nice to visit with and everyone is having a goo... Read more

If we are ever fortunate enough to go back to Oahu, we will definitely be staying here. We had booked a studio with kitchenette but were upgraded to a one bedroom corner unit with a full kitchen. Definitely the way to go! Windows all around and having the kitchen was great. I would pay the extra to get the bigger unit. Friends of ours had the studio and it was still really nice. The one bedroom gives you lots of space though, and not having the air conditioner right next to your bed is a b... Read more

We stayed 2 weeks in total. First week we were on the 7th floor and found it difficult to sleep at night due to the street traffic noise and the air conditioner was too noisy to have on during the night. The second week we were on the 27th floor and it was fantastic. It was quiet and we had a view of the ocean from the balcony. We didn't need to use the air conditioner which was much quieter than the one on the 7th floor as the room was much cooler due to more air circulating because we had the ... Read more

As we had a wedding to attend to, we had a group booking of approximately 15 persons. The itinerary clearly stipulated that all family were to remain as close together as possible. This did not happen as most of us were scattered throughout several levels! Whilst some of us had partial ocean views written on the itinerary (and paid for!), we did not get this. A few of us had views of buildings next door which was quite disappointing! The staff did not appear friendly nor were they willing to r... Read more

We booked a one bedroom ocean view with kitchen. We were lucky enough to be able to get into our room early. The views from the 22nd floor were well worth the money. It was a spacious apartment style facility with separate bedroom and bathroom, with a combined, kitchen, dining and lounge area. it had a large refrigerator, a coffee maker, a full size cooktop and oven with sufficient cutlery and crockery. Had you wanted to cook there were inadequate pots. I would have asked for them if I ha... Read more

We stayed at the Aqua Pacific Monarch in April for three weeks and it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. We had a superb room with a wonderful view and found the staff so helpful and friendly. The hotel is well-priced and clean too. I also must point out the very very comfortable beds - something so many hotels get wrong. The location is really central and handy to everything. Staying here really contributed to our holiday and made it one to remember. Thanks to everyone at Aq... Read more

We stayed in the kitchenette. It wasn't very big, but it was comfortable. Beds were nice, view was fantastic. It's nothing fancy, but it was only a few blocks from the beach, and it was clean. Front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. They even had a movie/relax room where our group had a pizza party our last night. The rooftop pool is pretty cool, not very big, but nice. I even used the laundry facilities and they were fine for our purposes. They pretty much have everything you nee... Read more

This is our third visit and eight years since we last visited. It is not a grand or lavish hotel and from the outside not eye catching. However if you want a nice friendly and well priced room in Waikiki then this one is for you. It is an easy three minute walk to the beach, across the road is great quality food and surf board hire. The pool is on the roof and has magic views. The hotel now has a small service charge but for this you now get towels, free shuttle and internet. The staff are high... Read more

We have just arrived home after 8 days staying here. We had 2 young children so affordability, facilities (microwave, stove etc) plus location was important. Location is perfect for the cost... Not far from the heart of Waikiki and also the beach which is great for little ones. Although the rooms are very dated and could do with a much needed reno to liven them up, carpet coming away, our toilet door jammed shut and took a big thud to open. General furniture and décor needs updating. If th... Read more

Stayed here for 7 nights after a 4week trip around USA. Was a perfect place to stay, close to the beach. Close to food panty supermarket and not too far to an ABC store...you will understand once you have been to honolulu. Hotel was pefectly fine and met all our needs. Free shuttle to shopping mall, they have beach towels you can use. Roof top pool also was nice. Place appears to be having alot of tidy up/repair/updating touches done to it which were very unintrusive. Will be interesting to see... Read more

We stayed for 8 nights end of August 16. We had booked a room with balcony and kitchenette, and preferred a sea view. We got what was requested, though sea view was through two other buildings (we were on floor 11). Great .location - only about 150 meters to the sandy beach of Waikiki. Though the hotel is not new, it is extremely comfortable, and well set up. Excellent room, single bedroom off the lounge and kitchenette. This is the third time we have stayed here, and we'll always come back! The staff are fabulous, especially Erica (who quickly fixed my booking mistake not too long before we arrived!) and Keiko, Danny, Daniel & Cherly! A one bedroom works really well - plenty of space and light! it's worth paying extra to have a sea view, always something interesting to watch! Stayed here for 10 days on holiday. It could do with a bit of a revamp- the shower was a bit old and our air con leaked and make the carpet wet.. The bed was a bit small (double) but other than that it was a great stay. Awesome location just 2 mins from the beach. The rooms were clean and housekeeping does a good job everyday, bed and pillows were comfy. View from roof at night is amazing. Id definately stay here again.

Stayed in a 31st floor condo at this mixed use hotel. Had a view of both the mountains and the sea, which was nice. The hotel itself is probably 3 star at best - basic facilities and reasonably clean. However it's a great price, and it's only a couple of blocks from the beach. The Korean cafe across from the lobby does great food.

I paid for a Partial ocean view room with Kitchenette and they UPGRADED me to a 1 Bedroom / Living room. Yes it did have a separate bedroom with 2 single beds in it.. The living room had a double bed in it. It was on the 6th floor and overlooked the car park and had a small long balcony that you would never go on.. We could not have picked a better place. We really had to rely on reviews for our first visit to Hawaii. We selected this place because it had a kitchenette and we were glad we did. It was very convenient to have some place to have breakfast or an afternoon snack. We had seen some negative comments online about the noise but the Waikiki area of Honolulu is a busy and noisy city. We were on the 29th floor and if you have the large 10' patio doors open you are going to hear city noise. The p... Read more
