Great resort and vacation spot! Grounds were impeccable and breathtaking, staff were awesome! They were attentive, but not overbearing which I really appreciated. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids (5 and 7)... we stayed for 7 nights in August and we opted for a standard room with 2 double beds and mountain view. The view was spectacular and we saw rainbows in the mountains several days. The pools were really great and my kids loved them... the water slides were lots of fun as well (for both ... Read more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. My only complaint is the additional resort fee of $30 per night. The food is expensive (breakfast for two $30 pp) but that is expected at a resort in Maui. The resort is BEAUTIFUL and is great for families with children. There are adult only pools of you don't have kids.

We just returned from a 5 night stay at the Westin to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We got married on Maui and spent out honeymoon at the Westin and thought it would be great to return for our 10th. It is a bummer that the resort has gone downhill since then. We arrived around noon, and were told the room would not be ready until 4pm, unless we wanted to pay $250 to upgrade. We passed. I mentioned at check-in it was our anniversary, and the response was akin to, "That's nice." I know, how or... Read more

The resort was beautiful especially the pool area. I loved the water slide and small waterfalls. Since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, the resort provided us a complimentary bottle of champagne. They also provided two water bottles every day, something that other resorts do not provide. We also liked the fact that the resort had free shuttle services to the Old Lahaina Town.

This is a great hotel if you are traveling with family as there is plenty to do. Kids will love the pools and there is an adult only pool. If you want peace and relaxation, this is the wrong hotel for you. Consistently busy and not super peaceful. The rooms are classic Westin. Comfortable and clean. The food in the restaurants all tastes the same but fortunately, there are good choices next door. I stayed using points and it was a good value.

My wife and I stayed her last week and it was super nice, I really liked the open layout of the lobby, it was cool. I know that sounds weird, but it set a nice tone for the rest of the trip. The room was really nice and spacious, bigger than I expected, actually. We had a nice view of the mountains and room and hotel were super clean. I liked the fact they had an adult's only pool, as there are a lot of families who go to Hawaii, more than I would have thought, Since we were celebrating or ... Read more

We had made reservations at the Marriott next door and were very disappointed with service at that hotel, we decided to switch and went to the Westin, what a great decision! The hotel is wonderful, service is excellent since the minute you check in. Daryl at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating, he got us an excellent room with an ocean view in the Ocean Tower, beautiful and super comfortable. Ka'anapali beach is beautiful, but busy, with commercial hotels along the whole beach. If you're looking for a quiet, secluded vacation, look somewhere else. I saw a review that described the Westin as Disney Hawaii and they're probably pretty close, though without all the kids when we went. The hotel grounds are beautiful but not authentic. Multiple lagoon type pools, waterfalls, colorful flowers, Koi, Flamingoes and Swans. The rooms and bathrooms are small for a Westin, but nicely done an... Read more

Normally while staying in Maui away from the hustle of city life in Oahu, we normally stay at one of the Starwood properties. We enjoyed Westin so much, we decided to come back and enjoy the property again. We love the pools here and we are just steps away from the beach. What was a turn off this trip was that the parking can get ridiculous. We came back from our day trip from Paia and saw that there was no sign up that the lot was full. We figured there would be parking but after a few circles ... Read more

We had a lovely view from our room, but be aware that some of the ocean view rooms have a palm trees blocking their sea views and you only start to get the beautiful mountain view from rooms above the 6th floor. Great location on the west side of the island. Perfect for sunsets, multiple pools for adults and kids. You could walk 20 yards and swim in the ocean. The rooms with the ocean view were great, clean with a nice balcony with two chairs. There is a common walkway that runs in front of the hotel connecting other hotels and restaurants. This hotel has only one restaurant in two locations, one facing the pool and the other the ocean. There is a great spa on the second floor.

We just finished a 5 night stay here and loved every minute of it. The hotel grounds were simply stunning and the pool was one of the best we have ever experienced. It never felt crowded at all as some here have mentioned. Wonderful location, centrally located on Kaanapali Beach right next to Whalers Village. Dated property, but open air breakfast area and lobby is nice. The beach tower is old but rooms are bigger. Ka'anapali beach area should not be missed by any vacationer in Maui. When we were planning out trip I found it a challenge picking where to stay. Perfect location for relaxation! The beach was perfect, walk straight in and start snorkeling. I could not believe how clear the water was. Tons of turtles, fish and other sea life three steps into the the water. Hotel was super clean! Staff was friendly and helpful! Best place I've ever stayed hands down
