We ended our 12 day holiday family vacation at this property after spending a very comfortable, wonderful week stay at the Westin Ocean Villas down the way. Being a Westin property and charging $700+ per night, we expected a top-notch stay similar to our experience at the Westin Ocean Villas. We were quickly disappointed from the moment we arrived. We had to track down the valet to take our car, wait in an extremely long line to check-in, and not once greeted with an Hawaiian Aloha. Instead, ... Read more

Alan Caban is a great asset to the Maui Westin. I took the shuttle to Lahaina on several occasions. He was always very helpful, informative, friendly and he remembered my name! He gave great tips on what to drink at the local brewery. He made my stay at the Maui Westin, even more memorable. He is a great asset to the Westin! Great job Alan!

My wife and I stayed at the hotel after Thanksgiving Weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the amenities of the hotel from the restaurants, pool and the large guestroom. More important, it was close to the shopping area and other local restaurants. We highly recommend the place.

This Westin has everything you need! If you are planning a trip to Maui and staying on the east side definitely consider staying here. Rooms are plush , pillows, bed all of it luxury. request one that faces the ocean or if you get the valley view of the island you may luck out to see rainbows in the afternoon. You can rent equipment to snorkel and the pool has a slide that is so much fun for the whole family. Be sure to eat breakfast out on the patio the buffet is really good! All around I'... Read more

I have stayed here 3 times now for our Maui vacations. Overall, the Westin is very nice. The staff is all very friendly. The pool is nice and I like that they have an adults only area. The food at the pool and relish restaurant has been pretty good. The rooms are in good/newer condition. It is very busy during peak season/winter months which is understandable, as most resorts are. However it can be very loud and crowded, long waits for elevator and restaurants, and hard to find a chair at the po... Read more

My husband and I were gifted a honeymoon by my parents and they insisted we stay at this fine hotel. It is perfect. It has everything you need if you make no other plans around the island: cheap eats & fine dining, a gym & spa, swimming pools as well as access to the beach, they're very own luau, a short walking trip to the restaurants and shops of Whaler's Village, and a complimentary shuttle. The resort fee includes self-parking (valet is extra, though it is NEVER stated as such), free WiFi... Read more

This was our second time staying at this Westin property so clearly its not bad. That said/written its not incredible either. The rooms are very tired and as Platinum-level guests we were surprised at how little effort was made to make our visit special when we first checked in. But, the hotel recovered and after first giving us a small room with an unwanted connecting door in the 'redone' tower, we were moved to a larger room in the 'older' but in our opinion nicer Beach Tower. The redone r... Read more

Last time I visited Maui, I stayed in the Hyatt and absolutely adored it! I wanted to go back but my travel agent recommended the Westin and we received a fairly good deal. If I compare the two they're pretty close. I think the Hyatt still wins out for me in terms of preference but it's a close race and I may be biased as the weather was very average when we went (windy and rainy). Pros: The pool. The slide is lots of fun(not just for kids), they have an adults only pool and they're nicely s... Read more

This is a gorgeous property, conveniently located on Ka'anapali beach. It's a short walk to Black Rock (great snorkeling & cliff diving), restaurants, and shops. The pools are beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are nice- we had a lovely view of Black Rock. The food at Relish Oceanside was good (though definitely resort-priced) and the view was spectacular. Giving it four stars instead of five because of the following: 1) They need a second hot tub, maybe in the fami... Read more

Nice staff always helpful. Grounds are above and beyond. Halls are ok, typical of beach front hotels. Room also fine. I didnt find the hotel its self great, but nice enough. The grounds, free shuttle, and closeness to shopping and resteraunts made up for it. One of the prettiest hotels on that stretch of beach.
