The hotel is located on the very end of Keawakapu beach so access is close and easy. The beach itself is very nice with good swimming and snorkeling. The building is equipped with a water equipment rental store so you can partake in other activities such as kayaking and boarding. In addition to the surf shack there is also a general store that provides food and beverages. This because the sister building rents condominiums but it is also because the hotel is not within comfortable walking distan... Read more

The view is incredible, location fantastic, beds comfy, We stayed in 508, above the pool which did not present a problem. The beach is fantastic-sandy to the left, black lava to the right. We saw sea turtles as we snorkeled the reef right in front of the condo. Happy hour at 5 Palms is a must. Tracy at the events desk sent us on the Malolo for the best whale watch ever. the Surf Shack set us up for surf lessons-at Surf Shack-we all were successful and a kayak whale watch-where we saw breaching... We rented a 2 bedroom condo, which is relatively small compared to other condos in Kihei. The rooms are just average and nothing special, they do all face the beach and being right in front of the beach makes up for it. It's also tucked away from the rest of Kihei at the very south end which is nice and if you walk a little ways down the beach there's no crowds. The rooms have gotten pricey which is why we probably won't go back. I'm still giving it a four out of five because I really enjoy the ... Read more

We loved that the beach was just footsteps from the lobby. Enjoyed early morning and late evening walks on the beach. It was never overly crowded and always peaceful. The employees were all very kind and helpful. Beautiful scenery and sunsets. Our room was quiet and peaceful.

Went here to strew some cremains in the ocean- everyone was absolutely understanding and full of aloha spirit. The gardener even gathered plumeria blossoms for me to place in on the water. Staff was so professional and wonderful. Going back again this year-

We rented unit 503 a 2 BR condo at Mana Kai Maui in Kihei in January 2016. We booked it from the owner via VRBO. The Mana Kai has units that are owned by individuals as well as some owned by the resort. The decor of the units varies. Some are high end - some are more hotel quality. The rooms on the ocean end (numbers beginning with xx1, xx2, etc) are more expensive as well as the top two floors. These rooms have a better view due to the palm trees beside the condo. But who could complain... Read more

The condo we stayed at was a little dated but very comfortable we really liked the convenience of having a restaurant/lounge on main floor as well. The resort has it all great beach, store with lots of choice, a pool, a place to book excursions, and a rental shop for all beach toys. Snorkeling was great just steps from resort there is an awesome reef.Staff were very helpful and friendly we definitely would come back.

You'll want to leave your patio door open all night so you can hear the waves breaking. That sound will gently lull you to sleep and the birds will wake you in the morning. The Mana Kai is directly on the water, a few steps to the beach. Beautiful views from your lanai and a convenient location near mid Kihei and Wailea to the south. We rented a 5th floor 2 bed for a week in December and we were very pleased. Unit 505 was complete and comfortable for 2 couples. We had all of the kitchen items... Read more

Five of us stayed here for 4 nights in a 2 bedroom condo (unit 303) which we rented directly through the Mana Kai. Everything you need is right there. Two bedrooms are a hotel room and 1 bedroom combined. Our condo had everything we needed to make our stay great. We were able to rent SUP and book a snorkel trip to Molokini right on the property. The Happy Hour at the restaurant was awesome--try the Calamari!!!!! Parking was very easy and there are NO resort fees!! The water is perfect and the be... Read more
