Stay here EVERY time we visit Maui. All rooms are on the ocean and have ocean and mountain views. Condos have full kitchens and most are outfitted with everything you need to cook meals. We prefer the rooms 601, 701 and 801 because they are the end units nearest the beachfront.....but all rooms have a great view. There is a mini mart and deli on the first floor which is very convenient. Staff are amazing, helplful and efficient. Downstairs is a restaurant 5 Palms that serves breakfast, l... Read more

Absolutely loved this old school relaxed resort in Kihei. The location on a headland looking down the beach and coast is magical. We had 3 apartments and each had a spectacular view, even the one furthest away from the beach. Apartments a nice size, with lounge and kitchen. Dated but totally fine. Some were undergoing renovation and I assume all rooms will eventually be done. The balconies are a great size and we loved having breakfast, playing cards, and sunset drinks with a view. So relaxing! ... Read more

Being first trip to Maui I wanted to find a place that felt local. Well I found it. I couldn't afford the condo portion, so it was hotel side for me. It overlooked the parking lot, but don't let that deter you. I barely noticed any noise and I was still able to hear and see the ocean from my room. The room was decent, not flashy. Just your basic hotel room. I knocked off a star as there were ants in the bathroom. Wasn't a deal breaker, I mean it is the tropics bugs are plentiful. The hotel is ... Read more

OMG! Best beachfront bargain Spectacular beach, lovely breakfast and views to die for. If I come back I will skip the Grand Eaikea and choose here!- better everything and way more intimate and local . Love that there is a dog-friendly beach and it has wide beach views

This was my first time renting a condo on maui but with two small kids condo is a way to go. We stayed in unit 812 and it has been remodeled and had everything we needed from towels to cooking pans and pots. There were 6 of us and we used both beds and a pull out couch. I used laundry on our floor every other day to wash kids clothes and towels. We cooked in a condo a lot. It was great not to drive to the beach but to simply walk from our building. The pool is warm. The concierge sells discounte... Read more

Mana Kai is located in South Kihe close to little bars and restaurants. Some of the key Mana Kai highlights are the following: - fantastic 5 Palms restaurant (great happy hour 3 to 9pm). - rental equipment for all non-motorized water sports - convenience store - impeccable beach - great snorkeling - good selection of ocean facing condo's or hotel rooms available. I would definitely go back!

I could rate this hotel higher because the staff was pleasant and the grounds, location and presentation were very nice. However, there are some rooms that you just don't want, and I had one of them. I was on the 5th floor in 514A. This room is at the very end of the hotel (closer to the street but still far enough away to not hear any street noise), it is more like a dorm room. The window opens onto the walkway and any possible view is of the parking lot and craning your neck to the left on... Read more

Location, Location, Location ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? The title says it all. You stay at the Mana Kai for the property, not the units. My family and I have stayed at the Mana Kai now 4 or 5 times over the last 15 or 16 years. When it came to picking a rental this year I was a click away from picking a unit across the street at the Maui Kamaole, a newer and more modern unit, for over $100 per night less but in the end I wanted to walk out the lobby and basically on to the beach so I picked the Mana ... We stayed at the Mana Kai Maui from Sept 12-16, 2016 in Room 402. The view was amazing, the room was ok, but the carpet was filthy, it really needed to be cleaned and I ended up wearing socks around the condo to keep my feet clean. Also there were tiny ants? insects? on our suitcases when we were getting ready to leave. They didn't seem to bite. Other than the carpet I would say our room was quite fine. The only thing I think would have enhanced the kitchen was maybe a few packages of zip locks... Read more

We spent a wonderful week at the Mana Kai (Sept 26-Oct 2) in 402A. The condo decor is dated but the room location was perfect with an amazing view of the ocean and beach. It didn't hurt that the weather cooperated the entire stay so that we could enjoy water activities and the beach. The room was quite comfortable with a kitchen that had everything we needed. There is remodeling noise but most of the construction activity happens mid-day so it was not an issue for us. The staff couldn't hav... Read more

I have the pleasure of traveling a lot to beautiful destinations and visiting Mana Kai Maui with another couple and my significant other last week was no exception! This updated and renovated property was AWESOME! Our unit (#531) has an entry hallway and then a room on the left that has a king bed, nice bathroom along with a small fridge, coffee maker and microwave! Then the other door at the end of the entry way opens up with a FULL kitchen (nicely stoked with plates, glasses, pots and pans) an... Read more

I have stayed there many times since the 70's. Great location and beach is good for swimming and snorkeling. Sunsets are magnificent! Five Palms restaurant has a good happy hour. Rooms are varying in price based on if they have been renovated. I would return.

Stayed for two short nights in a 1 bedroom unit and loved it so much I just stayed in the unit and only left to go out to eat. The view is the most spectacular on an amazing beach with lots of great activities including snorkeling, paddle boarding and of course swimming. The units are beautifully done with all the modern amenities expected in a great property. The unit was very clean and all the staff that I ran into were extremely polite and friendly. Excellent location near to lots of grea... Read more
