Our stay in Unit #214 was ideal! The location on the island was convenient to restaurants, beaches, shopping and other activities. We found the complex attractive and well maintained. Unit #214 was very clean and equiped with everything you could possibly need (even some items that surprised us). The view right from the lanai was spectacular and entertaining. It was wonderful to wake to the sound of the ocean! The owners were easy to work with and good communicators. We would easily recommend ... Read more

I will start off with the cons: First arrived and had to check in at a dark little extremely hot office. Next was the stairs with all the family luggage, no elevator, so not for the elderly or handicapped. Entering the room was a big disappointment, it was very dusty, so stay away if you have allergies. Very outdated (1970's)? The view from the room was the ocean, very beautiful but just below ruined the view with some old abandoned building, once part of the coco palms. The beach parking l... Wailua Bay View unit 214 was absolutely fabulous. They have everything you could possibly need and more. The view from the lanai and the sound of the surf were a mainstay with our morning coffee and evening cocktails. The condo is very conveniently located close to restaurants and shops, a short drive to Lihue if you want to visit Costco to stock up on supplies. With the central location we were able to see just about the entire island during our sightseeing excursions. I would recommend ... Read more

Mahalo to Chuck who was really great to work with. The description of condo #206 was spot on. We were centrally located on the island, which made for short distances to travel going to any part of Kauai. Would book this place again upon a return visit.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of spending a week here during the month of April. Our room was clean and well appointed and what a view! We were told we would be oceanfront and the lanai looked over a beautiful beach with gorgeous sunrises. The grounds were very clean and nicely landscaped. The pool was sparkling and if I had one complaint it would be that they could use a couple of umbrellas out there as Kauai sun gets very hot. The resident manager was very nice and helpful giving ... We wanted quiet n rest but got none of those. Doors were constantly slamming around us n they were sudden n loud!!! We can hear our neighbors going in n out of their units, even those that stay a couple of units from us n above us. Impossible to sleepin n taking naps during the day is out of the question. (I am not even going to talk abt the sound of traffic as the main road is just there). The beach is a short walk fr the condo which is nice but its not clean. So we mostly hung out by the pool... If you want a nicely appointed, well-equipped, condo with a gorgeous view and a central location, then this is the place for you. An additional plus is a landlord who is responsive and extremely helpful with suggestions on what to do accompanied with some of his personal photos. (Chuck is a published photographer whose stunning photos grace the walls of the condo.) The booking process, through Trip Advisor, was extremely easy as was the payment process. Kudos to Trip Advisor for this new servic... Read more

I would not recommend this condo because it's very loud with noise from neighbors. you can hear footsteps above and non stop doors slamming throughout the night even with the ac on full blast. looking forward to getting back to L.A. for a good night sleep. book your room as far away from the road as possible.....felt bad for the suckers on the roadside end. or better yet book a room at a different resort. i dont think of this as a resort either, maybe a motel with no employees. pool was s... Enjoyed our stay, very nice unit in a great location. Nice to have beach chairs and towels to take to the beach. The grills are great, easy to go to Safeway and buy local fish and shrimp to grill. The only thing that needs attention is the tile and grout in the bathroom needs a serious cleaning. We would definitely return on our next visit to Kauai. Wailua Bay View 204

Long story short (and Trip Advisor review to come...), we had a long standing reservation at a condo complex further down Papaloa Road where we've stayed several times over the years. When we found out that there would be major construction on our building about four weeks before our trip, we began a frantic search for another ocean front condo. We completely lucked out by finding condo #315 at the Wailua Bay View Condos. We felt like we were on a ship at sea with this all ocean front location. ... Read more

Positives: The condo had everything you could possibly need: vacuum, towels, utensils, plates (ceramic and paper), trash bags, wi-fi, washer, dryer, detergent, etc. We had a great beach view condo and we could also swim in the pool which was as warm as bath water. The beach wasn't spectacular since it had tree branches scattered on parts of it but very few people were there and once you were in the water it didn't matter. The water was really nice. The place is also conveniently located near a g... Read more

Its my second time here, but the only reason I came back was a need for ease and convenience, as I had my one year old daughter and my older mother with me. I did not need surprises :-). It is super close to the airport, as well as to major stores and some restaurants, has a baby beach 6 minuts away and, the view here trully is fantastic. There is a beach right here; I sweam fine, but its not a ggood place for little kids. Both units I stayed at were old and worn off. Cleanliness is not a loca... Read more

Wonderful experience for my husband and I! We stayed for 8 nights in condo 307 and really have no complaints. The condo came fully stocked with dishes, towels, beach chairs, and the list goes on. We had at least 5 restaurants within walking distance and were centrally located on the island so nothing was too far away. It was quiet, even with young kids staying next door. Since we were on the third floor the view of the bay was amazing, we spent every night out on the lanai! Check in process is a... Read more
