Outstanding, beautiful, accommodating, friendly, hospitable, delicious, relaxing, delightful, perfect We were just blown away by the natural beauty of Lake Chatuge in Young Harris, GA. The staff at The Ridges Resort were killing us with kindness from the manager to the housekeeping staff...The Lodge, lobby, grounds, fire pit, Adirondack rocking chairs, fireplace, music, hot, coffee, smores, lemon aide, fresh whole food...ridiculous. You'll never leave.

My husband & I visited this area recently and stayed at the Ridges. We found the grounds to be quite beautiful as well as the lake area. You can easily walk around the property and feel quite safe. Our room was very spacious and clean. We had the breakfast the next day and found it to be good, although it had been sitting for awhile. There were some hot dishes with eggs and sausage and potatoes. The muffins were not tasty and the bagels were adequate. Fresh fruit was available as well as cereal... Read more

Our group of 60+ Porsche GT3 owners had a fabulous time at The Ridges. We were there for a weekend and the staff were fantastic! The accommodations were good and the food excellent. We've already booked out the entire resort for our 2017 event!

If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing location along the Georgia / North Carolina boarder, look no further than the Ridges Resort. While that may sound like a commercial blurb, it is actually the truth of my experience. Was there in mid-Apr with a group and we had a wonderful time. The staff was amazing; attentive, courteous and fun - they had to be with the group I was traveling with! The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The lake setting and with the sun set reflecting off the dista... Read more

This was my first visit to this beautiful place and the people in charge treat you like family. It was a pleasure to be acquainted with the staff as to their knowledge and almost read your mind as to the next question or service at hand. It was a pleasure to deal with Vickie, Charlene and April. For 5 days they were perfect staff members. The Room we had was beautiful and in very clean condition. We were there for my sons wedding and they were well prepared for the event. I could keep writing a... Read more

Beautiful location and very nice hotel, but be aware that the internet connection here is... extremely... slow. It was a working weekend for me but was very frustrating and hard to get anything done because of the connection speed. Also almost impossible to stream a movie.

Somewhat of a mixed bag for me. The grounds of the resort were very beautiful as was the lobby and common areas. However, the rooms themselves were very tired and in need of an upgrade. They had a great deal of water and water sport offerings so if water activities are your thing and ONLY thing, you'll have plenty to do because there really isn't much else this resort has to offer as far as activities go. The biggest issue I probably had with this resort is the staff. Most of my interactions wit... Read more

The resort was a beautiful locale to relax and enjoy the view of the lake and mountains. The yard was colorful and well manicured and included a wonderful fire pit surrounded by comfortable rocking chairs. The room was clean, comfortable and furnished with high quality mountain theme furniture and decore. The resort staff was very cordial and helpful. Free, fresh fruit and cookies and hot coffee/tea were always available in the lobby. The huge lobby included a massive fireplace and many leath... Read more

Hubby & I have stayed here several times over the last few years. We love the beauty and peacefulness and waterfront grounds and that it is a great walkable property. We love to walk the path over to the marina and the casual restaurant for lunch and/or dinner. We have even walked to the cinema and back. The staff is wonderful, attentive, helpful and thoughtful. The 24/7 ice water with fruit and coffee bar are so very much appreciated. The afternoon cookies & cider are nice and the smores ... Read more

We had stayed at the ridges many years ago and this time returned with the kids in tow. The property is beautiful and it is nice to have a place the get out and stroll around, from the lake to the docks to the outdoor seating. Check in was fine and staff was friendly. We stayed across the street in one of the villas. I think they are individually owned and managed by the ridges. Ours was very nice, hardwood floors, modern applicances and kitchen, very good internet. 2 bed, 2 bath and a fol... Read more

On Lake Chatugue just two hours from Atlanta with a full marina: power boats, jet skis, pontoon boats, kayaks, all available for rent. Wonderful scenery and a gracious staff made our stay restful. The grounds are spacious with a large floating dock and many places to just chill by the water. There's an ample buffet breakfast for guests. There's a fire pit and fixing for smores every night. Rooms are spacious with a small terrace. Pricing is fair. Highly recommended and the best ooption if you ar... Read more

The grounds of the hotel were absolutely lovely. We stayed on the first floor double lake front view room with out 11 month old and 5 year old. One of the nicest people I've ever come across at hotel (Charleen?? Sorry I can't quiet remember name). The smores over the fire were a hit for my 5 year old. The only things is t... Read more

Very nice view of the lake. It looks like they are trying very hard to update this resort. Nice staff, good breakfast and great location for many activities. The flowers were in bloom and made for a ideal setting for weddings they had over the weekend. The management staff need to be aware of the condo furnishings if they are going to utilize their hotel name (sofa bed).

Taking a recommendation from our children we decided to disappear for a few days into the North Georgia mountains. The Ridges Resort and Marina was high on their list of great places they had visited and we were not disappointed. Located in a cove on beautiful Lake Chatuge, this resort has so much to keep you busy and at the same time offers restaurant, lounges, pool, walking paths, and all the water sports you may wish to enjoy. Our room maintained the mountain décor of the common areas and... Read more

To be fair, I sent a similar message to the resort manager and district manager, but never received a response after over two months of waiting. For history, over a year ago we stayed at the resort and had a terrific experience. So much so that I brought my then girlfriend back to the resort and proposed on the dock. Those were the good memories. In late April, we returned and reserved a room for my fiancé's son. We had requested in our reservation to have the feather bedding removed from th... Read more

My husband and I just spent a couple days at the Ridges. We had the best time. You can't beat the views of the lake. The grounds are GORGEOUS. We loved going to the bonfire every night. It was so much fun roasting marshmallows. Inside the lodge was so pretty. It was kind of like being in a cabin in the mountains. We can't wait to come back.

Found this resort with the help of a AAA office in Marietta. It is quiet, friendly and very relaxing. Luann, who works the front desk in the evenings, as well as tends bar, builds a fire in the outside fire pit to make s'mores (when there is no storm), and a hundred other things, was very helpful and entertaining

We stayed here because my niece was getting married in the mountains of Georgia. This place is just lovely. The staff is great and the rooms are clean and pretty. They bake homemade cookies for you at 4pm and they are heavenly. The lake is clean and we enjoyed just looking at it. I highly recommend this place. They also give you a complimentary hot breakfast and have boat rentals. The pool was lovely.

LOVE this place!! The grounds and the hotel are absolutely beautiful!! The warm welcome reception with afternoon cookies does not end there! The rooms are elegant and the hotel stunningly decorated! The lake provides the perfect setting for a getaway for couples, and families old and young. The evening staff provided a fire and smores, and the morning breakfast was nice, too! We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent! Right on the water with beautiful grounds. We loved the fire pit at night and the some mores each evening. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again,

This Resort and restaurant was not properly staffed for the Labor Day Weekend. The beds were very uncomfortable and never made our entire 2 night stay. New towels were only provided when we requested them. The breakfast was cold, uneatable and the creamer was unrefrigerated and spoiled. The staff were neither helpful or accommodating. The restaurant was pleasant, but severely understaffed. We waited an hour to be seated each night.

The staff is nice and attentive but the hotel itself requires major renovation. The rooms are large but furniture has seen its better days. Breakfast, while offered with the room, very disappointing. A few nice touches includes cookies in the afternoon and smores in the evening. Disappointingly, there is no swim access to the lake. One must venture out to the public beach.

First of all, I used my GPS Navigator to get to the resort but the GPS was off by about 10 miles. Talking with the desk clerk, they said they knew of the problem but are having a hard time getting it fix. Coming from Atlanta, go up highway 515/76 until you are in Young Harris. The Ridges is approximately 4 miles past Young Harris college on the left. Look for the entrance sign. As for the resort, a great location and a very nice lodge. Please change the sheets as our sheets were not clean and smelled like the last person who slept in the bed. Please get new mattresses because the pads that you have don't work. Please use real eggs for breakfast because those powdered eggs were horrible. The staff was friendly and the view was nice. This could be a really nice place if details were given more attention.
