the golf course was not only challenging, but it has to be one of the nicest resort courses in the south. so much of the course is native grasses & plants, the mountains surrounding the course were huge for me (a miami native). the pro shop was well-stocked --- and the staff, from the initial phone call, the pro shop, the starter and the maintenance people we ran into were all welcoming and professional. the location is beautiful

This trip was a birthday weekend which included myself and by best gal friends, (my mom and my daughter!) We had never been to the resort before but had the most wonderful weekend ever! It made turning the big 50 no so bad! Our experience started upon arrival. The gentleman who valet parked our car was very down to earth yet professional. He made us feel welcomed and helped us unpack our luggage. The valet service only cost $7 and included the entire length of our stay. The front desk per... Read more

Our kids got married there recently. The facility is nice even though they were struggling through major room renovations. They did the best they could under the circumstances. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I would give them 5 stars. The biggest disappointment were the grounds. There had been very little yard maintenance done with weeds abounding, even in the waterfall area. Many of the areas where azaleas were planted were in serious neglect. I'm not a golfer but the golf course ... Read more

This resort is in the mountains of North Georgia. It is very, very beautiful and the hotel is incredibly nice as well. The service is unbelievable however. I had a blow out in my rental car in front of the hotel. I called them to have them send me a cab and road side assistance. Instead they sent someone who took me to my destination and they came back and fixed my flat and parked it back at the hotel with no charge. That is above and beyond......thanks Ed and Brasstown Valley, they got your bac... Read more

The facility is slightly dated but very well maintained and beautiful! The service was extraordinary. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or more willing to take care of every need. We will definitely be back to make it an annual event. Just lovely!

This is our fourth trip. We always have a great time. The grounds are. Beautiful. This year they are renovating the hotel.some inconvience but the staff was very helpful. The spa was very unorganized . We had made our reservations months ago. They had help problems the help. It was stressful to our group. I hope this will never happen again. We are planning next year to return but we will make a decision later. In the year. I must say the desk employees were wonderful and very accomdating. Th... Read more

My husband and I have been several times to this resort - quiet, peaceful in the Georgia mountains. Our stays have always been fabulously relaxing; all the staff have been great. We also have visited the Equini Spa for massages and had amazing services there as well.

Early morning breakfast on the porch overlooking the golf course. Good food and very friendly staff. We live an hour from here and love to take a mountain ride and then relax on the porch. Early morning is best for us but anytime would be fun - enjoy!!

The good includes the golf course which is very playable and the location which is very picturesque. Also the front desk staff where very helpful in adjusting our bill to reflect what we utilized. The bad is WIFI which was only able to connect when we stood near our entry door because the signal strength was only good in the hallway not in the room. The dining was also good and bad. Flavours and plating were good, but the kitchen staff needs training in how to serve hot food. Had dinner two nigh... Read more

This place is terrific! If you enjoy the mountains, hiking, horse back riding, fishing, and golfing. This place has individual rooms plus cabins for groups. Near by white water fun. Be ready to build a fire and enjoy the country. Had a blast!

Honestly, I wanted this to be a "wow" experience. It wasn't bad, but it was short of wow. We stayed in a cottage, and if you read the reviews of the cottages around the same date I am posting this, I agree with them. Again, I wanted the cottage to be great, but it wasn't. Missing a light bulb in a lamp and no tissues in the bathroom (fixed with a phone call to their credit). Rustic, really rustic would be a good description. Totally in the shade so good for porch sitting. It was quiet, b... Read more

The facility is great for mid size conventions. I especially like the theater area for our speakers to present to the group. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. The resort has undergone some renovations which were needed. Still some work to do in the guest rooms but overall not a bad experience at all. We really enjoyed our free time on a trail ride from the stables. Most well kept stables I have ever been to. Banquet food (2 nights) was good but could have been warmer. Overall a very pl... This place is one of nicest resorts I have been for the money. It reminds me of some of the Vermont reports I have visited. The main lodge is so inviting and comfortable. I stayed in a cedar log cabin the had at least four accommodations for separate guest. My room was very large and roomy. It did have a fireplace nut was of no value in a late Georgia June night. Everything was clean and inviting. The views were amazing. The convention area was very accommodating for the 300 plus attende... Read more

We live local to Brasstown Valley Resort and are quickly becoming regular dinner time patrons. The wait staff is friendly, and food wonderfully prepared. The chef that grills steaks definitely knows what he is doing as my husband seems to order steak each time. You won't be disappointed with any entree. ** Please note that we are locals, and I am not familiar with any part of the hotel or cabins.

Passing thru and stopped and played a round of golf at the course. Fun layout and staff very friendly. A little on expensive side but that is to be expected of a resort type course. Design was fun and condition of course was very good. I would definitely play the course if you are in the area and love to play golf.

We were fortunate enough to have a beautiful day for a trail ride. A.J. was fantastic. He was very kind an patient as were all of of the horses. My kids had never been on a horse and they had a blast! Up and down the mountain was much easier than it sounds. We would definitely do it again!

I was torn between the average and a higher rating, and but for a couple of snafus would have rated higher. Leaving a weekend visit with friends in Hiawassee, I booked a Sunday spa day & overnight stay at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa. The Integrative Deep Tissue massage and Skin Resonance facial by Winona at Equani Spa were excellent. Sunday was one of the days allowed for the online special I had purchased, so I thought the timing would work perfectly - go to the spa, and take advantage of it... Read more

I had been trying to fit this into my schedule for about two years. I called and was able to make a reservation. Arrived and was promptly seated and the place was packed. So, tip number 1. Make a reservation. Our waiter arrived promptly with water and advised us of the locations of the carving bar, dessert bar, main buffet line and crab leg station. Our drink orders then arrived promptly. Food was displayed attractively and was plentiful. Unfortunately, outside the crab legs, boiled shrimp... Read more

I am really pretty unfamiliar with the area, and was here on business so my experience is a bit limited- however was greatly surprised with this great spot. A quick 2 hour drive from the craziness of Atlanta- this is a great place to unwind and relax in the country. Rooms are nicely appointed and the grounds are beautiful. It looks like they are at the end of a redecoration, with just a few things left to finish. There is a nice golf shop w fun items and another little rather odd shop with j... Read more

I was there for a conference, the room was recently redecorated, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The conference room was comfortable and arranged so that the presenter was easily seen and heard. We had a banquet one night and the food and the room was very good.

Real quick.. I don't like to bash. This was not a great place. The hallways were hot, the food was basic and high priced, the staff was melancholy. It's pretty all around the property. This just didn't do it for us. We will skip future conferences here.. Sorry. It just wasn't fun and there's not much to do if you don't golf. If you do golf the course here is gorgeous. I guess that's a plus for some. If golf is your thing then the scenery and the course are worth it. Just not for me.

We just returned from a wonderful 3 days at Brasstown Valley. Our room was very comfortable, well maintained, and the staff was most pleasant and helpful at every turn. We have been there before, do not golf and went just to rest and relax after a busy May and June. It's perfect. We liked the dining room, the staff there and the food. Menu is not exhaustive but more than adequate in variety. All of a our meals were nicely prepared and nicely served. We ate all our meals there save for on... Read more

We spent two nights in July 2016, played golf and had breakfast and dinner at the resort. The people were very nice, the property grounds and view were beautiful, the golf course was well maintained and the food was very good but there were many small issues to overlook. Here is a list for room 414: 1) There were no clean towels and sheets on day two, because the hotel washing or dryer was broken. 2) The clock in the room did not work 3) There was no wifi 4) The tub was majorly damaged with hu... Horseback riding, spa, fitness center, golf and hiking available on site. Lodge with restaurants and gift shop or cottages available. We have been visiting this resort for probably 25 years. We have been there over the 4th of July for the past 3 years. We had a wonderful visit this year as we have most years. There are always a few problems when so many people visit, but overall it was a very good experience. The staff is eager to please. The carpet and furniture is being replaced and looks good. The bathroom door was replaced with a sliding barn door-not my favorite. Some years they are sold out over the 4th but this y... Read more
