the golf course was not only challenging, but it has to be one of the nicest resort courses in the south. so much of the course is native grasses & plants, the mountains surrounding the course were huge for me (a miami native). the pro shop was well-stocked --- and the staff, from the initial phone call, the pro shop, the starter and the maintenance people we ran into were all welcoming and professional. the location is beautiful

This trip was a birthday weekend which included myself and by best gal friends, (my mom and my daughter!) We had never been to the resort before but had the most wonderful weekend ever! It made turning the big 50 no so bad! Our experience started upon arrival. The gentleman who valet parked our car was very down to earth yet professional. He made us feel welcomed and helped us unpack our luggage. The valet service only cost $7 and included the entire length of our stay. The front desk per... Read more

Our kids got married there recently. The facility is nice even though they were struggling through major room renovations. They did the best they could under the circumstances. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I would give them 5 stars. The biggest disappointment were the grounds. There had been very little yard maintenance done with weeds abounding, even in the waterfall area. Many of the areas where azaleas were planted were in serious neglect. I'm not a golfer but the golf course ... Read more

This resort is in the mountains of North Georgia. It is very, very beautiful and the hotel is incredibly nice as well. The service is unbelievable however. I had a blow out in my rental car in front of the hotel. I called them to have them send me a cab and road side assistance. Instead they sent someone who took me to my destination and they came back and fixed my flat and parked it back at the hotel with no charge. That is above and beyond......thanks Ed and Brasstown Valley, they got your bac... Read more

The good includes the golf course which is very playable and the location which is very picturesque. Also the front desk staff where very helpful in adjusting our bill to reflect what we utilized. The bad is WIFI which was only able to connect when we stood near our entry door because the signal strength was only good in the hallway not in the room. The dining was also good and bad. Honestly, I wanted this to be a "wow" experience. It wasn't bad, but it was short of wow. We stayed in a cottage, and if you read the reviews of the cottages around the same date I am posting this, I agree with them. Again, I wanted the cottage to be great, but it wasn't. Missing a light bulb in a lamp and no tissues in the bathroom (fixed with a phone call to their credit). Rustic, really rustic would be a good description. Real quick.. I don't like to bash. This was not a great place. The hallways were hot, the food was basic and high priced, the staff was melancholy. It's pretty all around the property. This just didn't do it for us. We will skip future conferences here.. Sorry. It just wasn't fun and there's not much to do if you don't golf. If you do golf the course here is gorgeous. I spent time walking and running, and loved the rustic, quiet atmosphere. There are hiking paths if you want to get off the road. Service was great. The food was OK.

Great foliage and views. Really surprised at how nice it is. Lovely lodge with drinks outside at sundown looking over the mountains. Firepits with casual dining outside if desied. Nice lawn with inside and outdoor pool. Wonderful spa with a sun deck and hot tub.

We spent a long weekend here in the midst of wonderful fall foliage. Staff was welcoming and super accommodating, food was great, indoor and outdoor pool, 2 hot tubs, gorgeous golf course, well equipped stables, beautiful views.... in other words the perfect getaway. The enormous fireplace in the lobby is a cozy and inviting spot with plenty of seating. There are several hiking trails on the property, which we explored, trail running and hiking. Don't miss the overlook point marked on your hik... Read more

We stayed for 3 days. The weather was perfect. Hiking in the woods, we could see deer eating and playing. On the horseback ride, we saw more of them. Our guide "Rambling Ron" was informative about the woods and history of the area. It was a great get away!

Friendly clerk at check in, but otherwise a very mediocre experience with awful food, unattractive decor, and brown/ dying potted plants. The evening reception (complete with inadequate seating, hard rolls and undercooked meat) was set up in the lobby. Perhaps I simply expected too much from this "resort and spa".

My husband and I stumbled upon BVR several years ago via Groupon and it has been our favorite romantic getaway ever since. Whenever we can arrange an overnight sitter we come and enjoy everything the BVR has to offer. We highly recommend the resort spa, breakfast and dinner in the dining room, cozy time by the lobby fireplace, the lovely warm pool and the extensive fitness center. This last time I found my husband dusting our room, because it really did need it, but out of four stays this is all... Read more

My wife & I were here in January 2016 and recently returned while visiting a business partner. The new carpeting and redesign of the bathrooms really are 1st class . The beds are comfortable and the facilities are overall great. The golf course is first class with helpful staff to make your stay smooth. The horseback riding is also great with several beautiful trails with scenic views. The food is overall quite tasty although they ran out of apple crisp desert during our buffet dinner. The only ... Brasstown Valley is a great resort for couples or larger groups to get away to. Secluded in the north GA mountains, it offers great golf, a great spa, horseback riding, and other amenities. The hiking trails are fun; walk for 30 minutes or 3 hours. The best part though might just be hanging out in the lobby/lounge near the huge fireplace while looking out at the mountain view. Great, friendly staff throughout Unwind and de-stress here. Note: To me, BVR is more adult-oriented resort but th... Read more

We booked the Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa as a last minute getaway for the Veterans Day weekend. We were extremely pleased with the knowledgeable staff and friendly, welcoming feel the minute you walk into the grand lobby. The smell of the large wood-burning fireplace fills the entry way. We were pleased at their ability to accommodate our early arrival with a phone call roughly an hour after our arrival (at 10am) and also book our 1hr guided horseride for the following day. We began our da... Read more

We have been going to Brasstown Valley Resort's Thanksgiving dinners for a number of years now. Every year we come back saying that they have outdone themselves. This year was truly no exception. Every member of the staff was great and Brannen was a delight. The food was wonderful and exceptionally great was the apple-sausage stuffing and the brie-cashew-cranberry salad. Not to be missed and an annual favorite is the seafood salad. DH loved they treat of having fresh oysters. What a wonde... Read more

We enjoyed an awesomely delicious buffet with friends and family for Thanksgiving! It is pricey, but well worth every penny. All food, drinks, and dessert are included! The lodge itself is beautiful. We did not stay at the lodge, but the restaurant is open to the public and has shops for you to buy gifts. They always have it decorated according to the season for some great family pictures.

We visited the resort in October during leaf season and had a very nice experience. We have been going to the resort since it has opened. The rooms are lovely be cause they have recently been renovated along with the lobby area and lobby bar. The staff can not do enough for you and they are so very pleasant. We did dine there a couple of times and the food was good. The Friday night seafood buffet had unlimited snow crab claws which were prepared well. Sitting on the veranda sipping wine and wat... Can't say enough good things about this place. Best kept secret! Staff goes over and above to meet your needs. The indoor/outdoor pool is great for any season. Spa is lovely. Sipping a martini by the fireside also a plus! We go 2 to 3 times a year and never disappointed

I loved staying here at the Brasstown Valley Resort. All of the staff was friendly and ready to assist. I could not have had a better visit. This was undoubtedly the best stay I have had in a while anywhere. I enjoyed both the restaurant and the Brassies Grill. The rooms are clean and wonderful plush towels large enough to dry off on. Great relaxing atmosphere. Love this place!!!!!

What's not to love about a warm and cozy fireplace? Food the makes your mouth water in appearance and taste? A staff that makes you feel like royalty? And magnificant forestry surroundings that beckon you for a walk? This is exactly what you will experience at this venue. The cabins, located within walking distance of the resort hotel, offer just enough privacy for romance or family outings, while still providing daily service and access to resort activities. Great place to practice the all ... Read more
