We have spent the night at the Jameson Inn in Washington, Wilkes County, GA many times over the past 7 years because Wilkes County, GA, is the location of the Kettle Creek American Revolution Battlefield. We support the KCB Association's efforts to purchase the remaining battlefield acreage and create a park with trails, signage, comfort stations, parking lots, and other improvements. So our travel to Washington is for (volunteer) business reasons. We stay at the Jameson because it is the only... Read more

My biggest complaint is that the heater did not work. It was 29 degrees out and I froze in my room.the carpet was stained as well. If it weren't for the heater I would have been okay. But I did not want to catch pneumonia on my business trip.

We stayed here this past weekend and it was a decent hotel. The night time person was very friendly (James) and we enjoyed talking to him. Our bed was comfortable but we needed more pillows. We did not have enough towels in the room. The room was warm but we never got up to turn on the ac. (IN JANUARY!!) The rooms have been updated. We were glad that the tv worked since the last two places we stayed we had problems. There were not a lot of channels to choose from and I did not ever turn on my co... Read more

Please forward this message to the General Manager For This Property - My Mother-In-Law passed away recently and I unknowingly booked this hotel for myself and family attending her funeral on 2/27. First of all - My sister stayed in room 109(The refridgerator in her room was broken and she repeatedly asked for it to be fixed or to be moved to a different room. The hotel clerk Brooke told her she would send someone down to check it no one ever came to check it so my sister asked to change to an... Read more

We stayed one night, king bed, room 107. Room was clean and did not smell, I am very sensitive to mold or chemicals. Big screen TV, a bout 52" was great, no guide to the channels however. Refrigerator (no freezer) and microwave worked great. A Quiet hotel even though next to 4 lane. Staff was OK, nothing overly friendly but not bad either. Breakfast was not for me, cereal and waffles, but a McDonalds or Huddle House is very close. The bad: The moldings were coming away from the wall in the bath... Read more

The only thing in Washington Georgia is this motel and McDonald's. The place used to be a Jameson Inn, you can tell why it no longer is. It's falling apart and is probably 35 years old. The nearest "city" and I use that term loosely is Thomson. Even that is lacking in the restaurant department. But this hotel has a rude and lazy staff, with a breakfast that looks more like roadkill. Room floor is scuffed and has threads pulled. Furniture is out of date and wifi is terrifying. Stay elsewher... Read more

After speaking with James about check in time, ( 11am He told me ). I reserved a room. After hunting that morning I made my way to the Washington Inn. I arrived around 11:08am went inside to check in and to my surprise was told check in was not until 12pm, ( we can't kick someone out to give you a room ) , with a whopping 4 cars in the parking. I wondered if there was a clown convention since they can pack so many into a car. Had to leave and come back at 12, got our room I will say it was a nic... Read more

For the last 6 years I've organized a get together with some friends in Washington, GA and we stay at this hotel, the former Jameson Inn. It's nothing to write home about and it has always been fine. The new owners though have put new comforters on the beds, and new headboards, along with new shower heads since last year. We normally skip the continental breakfast provided because we're looking for something heartier to eat for breakfast so we walk next door to the Huddle House right across the ... Read more
