I have stayed here over 20 times in my life and I still love it. It's one of the best hotels/condos to stay at. Great beach access, friendly staff, good food (although I have heard they changed their chef) and nice rooms. It's great for couples staying or for families. I have stayed there as a child, as a newly wed and with my children.

This place gets it. From the service to the comfort, to the cleanliness, it's all excellent. The attention to detail is apparent. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean wand well maintained. The staff is well trained and provides great service. This was our third or fourth stay and all have been pleasurable. The only negative is that if you want good wifi, this is not the place to get it. To be blunt, it is slow and archaic. Cell service was faster.

Thank you to the staff at the King & Prince for another visit of relaxation fun, & good food! The King & Prince offers Southern hospitality and much more. The Echo Restaurant presents delicious food, great service, & often a fun & talented band. It is a wonderful vacation spot for couples or a family with kids.

If you want to be welcomed and treated like royalty, with smiles on all staff you meet, and a willingness to please....then The King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort is the place for you. You will not be disappointed in the beauty of this place as well as the surrounding area with all that it has to offer. We prefer to RELAX and read on our balcony or by the pool and really enjoy the swings which give us the up close view, smells and sounds of the surf, as well as watching the young (and older ... Such a great hotel in a perfect location. We won a two nights stay and decided to add on two nights. We went during spring break and it wasn't overly crowded like some destinations can get. It is right on the ocean so you can walk to it any time you want. We loved listening to the waves from our balcony. Our six year old son loved the pool. Definitely want to come back! I have never stayed so close to the ocean before so it was perfect. We loved walking along the beach looking for shells... Read more

From check-in to check-out all went smooth as silk. The customer service my wife and I received was outstanding. The concierge, Susan, booked us a dinner reservation at Halyards and we could not have been happier. Splurge on the couples massage it is outstanding. Good atmosphere, good food, right on the beach. If you are going to the beach do yourself a favor an rent an umbrella. They set them just above high tide line. Get there early and stake a claim. The only negative would be the odor ... Read more

Arrived around 230pm and asked if room might be ready. Front desk took my credit card and I was told I could wait at pool/bar for half hour/hour and room should be ready. At 430pm still no room and no comps offered and many angry customers in lobby waiting on rooms. 5 1/2 hours since check out and rooms not available. Four star rating?? Loved St. Simons Island. The King and the Prince was nice enough but definitely not worth the price. Our $399 tiny room had a water stain on the ceiling with a crack and peeling sheetrock tape about 2' long. The hallway to the room was un-vacuumed and a glass stayed on the floor outside the room across from us for at least 2 of the nights we were there. Staff was nice enough but did not seem interested or engaged in guest wellbeing. We will definitely return to St. Simons but will definitely not... Read more

I really enjoyed my visit this weekend. The main hotel is beautiful and so is the scenery. Not one complaint. One thing I was pleasantly surprised about was the temperature comfort in the meeting rooms. Usually hotels have the air conditioning temps so low it's unbearable for me. But not here, thanks so much for that. Also, the staff was very, very friendly, genuinely so. I enjoyed the ol school R&B music piping through the sound system in the morning. Very uplifting and welcoming for me.

The stress of Atlanta just melted away as we arrived and checked into our spacious room with ocean view. Very quiet surroundings and the grounds are beautiful with flowers blooming everywhere. Plenty of places to lounge by the pool and inside near the bar. The staff is so personable with great southern charm. Had a very pleasant stay at the King and Prince Hotel on St. Simon's Island. Got an excellent rate for a weekday stay, and stayed in one of the cottages (the annexes to the main house). It was beyond pleasant--great service, a large and comfortable room, and a wonderful oceanfront setting. Highly recommend for anybody who is staying on the Island.

Had friends who had dined at Echo and recommended we try it so we did. This is quite a spectacular resort although a bit too overwhelming for us. Due to the heat, we chose to sit inside and were quickly ushered to a very nice window table with a nice ocean view. My wife ordered the blue crab with avocado salad. She really enjoyed it and it was quite large. My grouper tacos were good but not quite how I expected them. The fish and sides were good but the tortillas were a bit on the stiff side and... The resort has three other pools at the main hotel that have a beautiful view of the ocean, exciting, and very accommodating. They will serve you pool side with food and beverages. The adults love it and children love it! They normally have special activities for the children, i.e. facing painting, making bracelets from sea shells, decorating cookies. We were impressed with this Hotel. I was able to drop of guests right at the door and they had a young man open the door, nice touch! I parked in the lot, right next door. Simple! The staff was super nice, friendly, easy to get along with. I went to the registration desk to ask a quick question, they knew the answer, offered their help, and assisted me right away. There is something special about Saint Simons Island and the King and Prince. It has an unusual balance of being really nice, yet really comfortable. It's hard to explain really, but I will try. In hotels/resorts in this price range you often find lots of pretentiousness/snobbery from both the hotel staff and the other guests. It's just not that way at The King and Prince. It's friendly and relaxed, without skimping on niceties. Aside from that- here are our opinions on things that may be impor... Read more

We stayed in this beautiful resort on the way to FL. The room was fabulous; however, we paid for an oceanview room. That part was disappointing. Our room was on the first floor and over looked the pool. If you looked beyond the pool, people and fence you could make out a bit of ocean. Not quite what we bargained for. I'd also say while we weren't the only family with kids, it was clear that some of the other guests were bothered by the kids. Both mine and the others.

I recently attended a wedding at this resort and took advantage of staying onsite. I had an Ocean Front Room and the views were amazing. The room was very modern and up todate. The staff were all very helpful from the check in process and all the way thru the stay. We were only there for a Wedding for the weekend so did not have much time to take advantage of all the Amenities that the resort offered. I definitely plan on going back in the near future.

Picturesque property at an excellent location. Room and villas are an excellent value. Close to older section of island and walking distance to a number of attractions. Been coming here for years. Only downside is their WIFI access is spotty and needs upgrade.

King and Prince is one of our favorite beach locations. The facilities are great and the beach is nice. While we did not have one of the ground floor, beachfront rooms this trip, being able to walk out of your room and enjoy the porch swing view of the ocean creates a very peaceful start to or end of the day.

Ok. I check in and am given a pool side room. I do not want to be pool side so ask for something on a higher floor. You would think I had asked for the moon. Get settled in the room and find that the phone does kept work. Ok. No big deal. I use my cell phone to call the front desk and report it. "Oh yes ma'am. There is something wrong with the lines and your room is the one that does not work". Really? About 10 pm some guy knocks on my door. Who is it? He doesn't speak. "What do you w... Read more

Can't think of a better place to relax + unwind before driving back. Cabana room are the best + closest to beach. Wonderful food + aervice. Not as pricey as would have thought. We found King and prince by mistake, we were killing time waking on the beach before visiting friends. We asked what the pretty building was right on the beach. Boy are we glad we did. We stayed 3 nights on our trip back from Florida. Than 2 1/2 weeks and now 3 weeks. The rooms are wonderful along with the staff true southern hospitality . On our second trip back we were happy and surprised to find a bottle of wine to welcome us. We enjoyed it on our deck looking at the ocean. Walks on the beach... Read more

This was the perfect trip for our 4-day vacation, two adults and a toddler. We stayed in the North Villas, we were right next to one of the 5 pools and just a few steps further from the beach. Everything was amazingly convenient. We had our own two bedroom space with kitchen and living room, but could also have a very short walk to the main resort to use one of the three other pools or get food / drinks. We had breakfast at Echo which was great, and two lunches (where we ordered the same exact t... Read more

Stayed in one of two bedroom villas. Super convenient. Have access to villa pool as well as main pool. Nice kitchen and family room with dining table. Rooms nice sized with two bathrooms. Getting a little dated but nice overall. Resort has a convenient location. Back doors to balcony needed work as they were really stuck. Happy hour from 4-7. Good times. Beach is small at low tide (big tidal variation). Will be back.

Villa 258 is beyond awful. It has not been touched since 1981 and everything is outdated, worn out, just unacceptable. The worst part is that someone has brought a cat to the villa. The master bedroom smells so badly of cat urine that it will make you sick to walk in, much less stay in there. We had housekeeping treat it and left the balcony door open to air out, but the odor came right back. The hotel was totally booked, so we could not move. However, if our unit had been nice, I would ha... Read more

Spent two nights at the King and Prince for a business trip - it did not disappoint! We arrived early and had half a day to spend out by the pool. Great bar, nice pool and it was not crowded at all. We stayed over Labor Day weekend for a casual family get together. Unfortunately, a storm had blown through the day of arrival so the premises weren't in the best of shape (which wasn't their fault). We had one meal on the property which was breakfast, I would give it a "C" and so we didn't return for any other meals. We ate in town which was much better. We stayed as a family of 4 in the North Villas in a 2 bedroom/2 bath unit. Sadly, the last time it was renovated was probably 1995 and there w... Read more

I love the tropical colors -- sea blue, turquoise, greens -- of the interior decor of this Hampton Inn, and the California/Mediterranean exterior of red time and stucco was nice, too. Friendly staff, and the usual Hampton Inn quality. I'd downrate this Hampton Inn on a couple of things, though. One is the entrance and exit: Either you have to literally go through a car wash driveway or else go around and through a small suburban strip center to get to the main entrance. Another is the breakfa... Read more
