We stayed at this "resort" for seven days with a group which prearranged the stay. Our room was large and nicely laid out, but was in need of serious updating. When we arrived, the toilet needed to be plunged, there were long black hairs in the shower, the paint was peeling from the door, and the wallpaper was peeling from the wall in the bathroom. I asked the front desk three times to replace the hair dryer which overheated and shorted out. It was never replaced. We were on the ground leve... Read more

Quaint, conveniently located as I was working at the Cloister on Sea Island. No real beach access, wasn't important for my trip. Staff was friendly. Karaoke night was less than impressive. Overall pleased with my stay.

Last minute stay on St. Simons... all hotels friends had referred were sold out. Tried for an oceanfront room on Jekyll but got burned by HI reservations. Rather than pay $200 to look at a parking lot there, we got a beautiful room overlooking the marsh for less money. Enjoyed the music and the atmosphere of a resort. Enjoyed being on St Simons much more than Jekyll too! A little drive to the Village, but plentiful parking this time of year.

Just wanted to say we received excellent service from Christine Davis at the Public House and Sea Palms Pool. She remembered us from just our one previous visit and went above and beyond to offer assistance and planning help for my stepdaughter's upcoming birthday party. We are thrilled she will be a presence at the pool and restaurant all summer long and look forward to seeing her when we visit!

I stayed for 3 nights at this property in order to attend a business conference. The property is an older one located overlooking wetlands, with cranes and other birds flying overhead. I had a lovely large room with two double beds and a sitting area with large windows, a small couch, coffee table, various lamps - a perfect space in which to curl up and read. There was also a mini-fridge (un-stocked except for 2 free waters, which was nice) and a coffee/tea maker. The room was quiet, the vie... Read more

We had the studio, which was very spacious, with two double beds and small kitchenette. It was very clean and well maintained even though this is an older property. Staff was very gracious. I would stay there again. Only downside was the meager kitchen silverware and dishes. We had a small dishwasher, but with only 3 cups and a couple of spoons, we preferred to hand wash. Could have used some dish washing liquid.

I attended a conference at the Sea Palms Resort. It was average. There was obviously some remodeling that had been done but there was more to be done. My room had cracked tile near the mini fridge. Some cracks in the walls. And the shower head was disgusting looking, but probably due to the hard water of the coast. Not to mention there was a used towel still hanging in the shower. It rained one evening and water was dripping from the light fixture. Really it just needed a good cleaning and m... Read more

Stayed in Sea Marsh Villas - Pelican. Large room with marsh view. Had a kitchenette, new large TV. Would have preferred TV to be in sitting area instead of at the end of the bed. Lots of different layouts to choose from. Some rooms have balconies or screen porches. Also suites with both and separate living room with small kitchen.

We have stayed at the sea palms resort several times. The property is very well maintained. The rooms have all been spacious, clean and very comfortable to stay in. Our last room had a screened in porch overlooking the marsh. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. I appreciate the effort that is made to ensure a happy stay.

The bath mat in my room was a metaphor for this property: clean and neatly folded on the edge of the tub, with the little bath soap tucked in, yet when I unfurled it before my shower, I found it had a significantly frayed edge. Not even sure I would keep a bath mat like that at home... I gave this property a 3 because of the accommodating staff, quiet and cleanliness. I had to find a place at the last minute for family business and they found me a room and arranged an early check in, which was... Read more

Everyone enjoyed lunch. My salad did not have all the ingredients listed but again no biggie. The restaurant needs to advertise that it is open to the public but it also needs to staff it properly. Every employee I encountered was polite, went above-and-beyond, and made my stay that much better. My room was clean and seemed pretty newly remodeled. I was impressed with the restaurant. The club sandwich was ENORMOUS. The pool was crowded, but it's summer. My only small complaint was that I had a suite, but the view for my room in particular was obscured. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience.

This is a older resort that is a little bit pricey for what we got. I felt like I was in a Red Roof Inn with the rooms. Tub was nasty and sinks had rust in it. Room was cozy as was the bed. View of the marsh and golf course was ok. Much rather had stayed in Brunswick!!!

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Everything else below average. The internet is in and out. The TV is so complicated that they have a laminated set of instructions. Some nights that didn't even work. Housekeeping failed to wash dishes in the sink, empty trash and leave soap and shampoo. The soap is so cheap it won't lather. It's like a block of wax. Spent 5 nights there recently as part of a tour group. Location is excellent, good appearance, friendly staff, food was pretty good and the room (with small screened porch overlooking the marsh) was nice sized with comfortable beds. However, the room was somewhat dated (peeling wallpaper in the bath) and the housekeeping was simply not up to par. I stayed here on a business trip and was disappointed with how tremendously outdated and worn this place is. Looked a little like a group of old apartment buildings that were transformed into a hotel. It seems like it may have gotten a nice remodel in 1992 and nothing since.
