This is a great hotel, either new or recently renovated, with great, friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet, comfy rooms, I believe the swimming pool was closed due to renovation, but I wasn't going to swim anyway. Located very close to the entrance to the island. Very quiet at night (well, the entire island is). It has a business center too.

Very conveniently located, easy access to the rest of the island while being quiet. Room was clean, beds comfy, good breakfast with plenty of choices. Staff was very welcoming & attentive, eager to please, gave good suggestions for restaurants & directions. Guess it was too early for the pool to be open since it's outside & unheated, but we spent some time at the beach. We ate at Barbara Jean's Restaurant & Bar down near the pier as recommended by the desk clerk--wonderful food, friendly staff, ... Read more

I stayed at the hotel over a weekend. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast okay and accommodations were fine. I thought the rate was overpriced but, after all, it was St. Simons. However, it was off-season (mid-April) and I felt the rate could have been better.

My husband and I stayed here on the way to Savannah for our honeymoon. We arrived and checked in around 130am and we had no problem at all. It was a nice, clean hotel and the free breakfast was convenient. The dining area was a little small but that wasn't a big deal.

We actually stayed in April, rather than May and even though there was some construction being conducted, we were not negatively affected in any way. To the contrary, it was actually a very pleasant little stay. We only stayed for 2 nights, but we felt very welcomed! The hotel staff was excellent & even catered to an extra need that we had, without complaint and of which was not expected or required. The complimentary breakfast was in a small area, at that time, however that did not take away fr... Read more

We arrived unannounced on a Saturday afternoon looking for rooms to accommodate our group of 5 guys. The front desk clerk did a great job providing us with 3 rooms even though we did not have reservations and it was on the weekend. The hotel had a great location and the outside appearance was very nice. The rooms were very clean and the decor was updated and provided a relaxing overnight stay. The breakfast provided was great with many different selections to please everyone. The only suggestion... Read more

We stay one night during late May. The hotel was quiet and we got a very good night rest. The room was clean and contained the amenities you would expect. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of offerings. We would stay again if we return. We wanted to check out the area since we had not been there before. Saint Simons Island is quaint and they have worked hard to make sure that all of the commercial establishments blend in with the natural surroundings and the hometown f... Read more

Well the trip started off on a bad note, as I called ahead to have an early check in. It was only by an hour or so but the young girl on reception kept informing me the facility for early check in was not available. Confused a litte, so I asked for manager. Strangley I never spoke to the manager as the receptionist now said I could check in early. I was not greeted with the usual "Thank you for being a rewards club member". First time that has not happened. Well after that all went well, ... Read more

This was a very pleasant experience. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Tyler went out of his way upon check-in to make sure that we had an easy check-in and then again Tyler went above and beyond to locate a pillow that we had left. Great location and reasonably priced.

This Holiday Inn Express had very good prices compared to most hotels in the area - plus a free breakfast was included. Rooms were very clean. Staff was not quite as enthusiastic as most hotels that I've been to - thus the 4/5, but I would certainly stay again.

We have been coming here for several years for my husband's coach's clinic. The renovations are beautiful! It is bright, modern, and clean. The free breakfast is very good, too. The housekeeping staff is top notch. They were friendly, helpful, and professional. Passes to The Club fitness center right down the road (within walking distance) was nice and were appreciated. It was a great trip and we look forward to our next visit.

This hotel is close enough to the beach ( less than 10 minutes) that it is suitable for vacation getaway. The service is very good. Facilities are better than you might expect for the price range. Free breakfast is provided. Fruit and cookies are available during day (also free). Pool is small.

Very nice experience clean, friendly, very accomodating. I gave 4 stars due to the pool being shut down although they gave us permission to use the pool next door which was very nice. Also no guest laundry facility although theres a laundry mat down the street. We stayed 3 nights never heard any noise . Very nice size rooms and comfortable beds.will be staying here again on our travels.

My husband and I stayed here for our vacation to the Golden Isles of Georgia. It was a very nice hotel. It's not located on the water but it's not too far away. The hotel had breakfast and the customer service was good. Our room, a king suite, was very nice. The only thing that we didn't like is that the water in the shower didn't get hot, just warm. Also the pancake machine at breakfast makes something more like dough patties...Lol, not good at all. Overall a good experience. I would stay her... Read more

Our weekend stay here was average. Our room was clean, but nothing special, the bathroom was particularly disappointing, the commode had one of the cheapest seats I've ever seen (think cheapest they had at Walmart not least expensive at Home Depot). Breakfast was good in the somewhat small dining area.

Just spent two days here. I prefer this chain for their consistent quality and this one is no exception. A small, compact unit on a quiet street, convenient to restaurants. Room was perfect, AC not too loud. All of the staff I encountered were very professional. Best unexpected feature: no tv blaring in the breakfast room! I wish they all were like this one.

We booked the king handicap expecting a king bed which it is not you get 2 queen beds. The pool is also closed, but you can use the pool at Best Western Plus next door as they are owned by the same people. The attendant was very nice and called next door and we ended up booking a king bed over there with the pool. Both places are doing renovations so be aware.

The hotel is in a central location convenient to the Pier Village, beaches, shopping and restaurants. It is a relatively small hotel tucked away in the trees. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. They offered a continental breakfast but we did not use it.

It is not near downtown and a sit down meal is a mile away. That being said for the budget traveler. This is a good base to explore the fort. And downtown is not so far. So you can explore and go to less expensive acomodations. I did not feel like going out to dinner after a long day drive But they had a dinner I could microwave. And a dining area I could eat in. So it worked for me

Ive stayed here several times before, actually 3 times in the last 12 months, its always clean and has been recently remodeled, and they put on a very nice breakfast which is included in the room price. There were a lot of workers staying at the hotel this time who were working on the Island do to damage from hurricane Mathew. It would have been a little nicer for my wife and I if our room wasnt near their rooms, but that doesnt take anything away from the hotel or staff. We will be back again ... Read more

After having to spend weeks repairing home after hurricane, came to this hotel. First stay was fine, second stay worst hotel experience ever. Horrible smell, got blamed on me. Charged my card 250 for their bad mildew smell problem, and still waiting on refund. Dirty shower and room smelled of mildew and trash. Slimy carpet from not being cleaned correctly after storm. Moved rooms twice when we checked in. And had to go buy frebreeze and stick it out. Then got done wrong. Only good part about sta... Read more

My wife and I chose to stop at this HIE on our way to Florida. We found it to be very pleasant. The location is a bit unusual, being off the main drag in a somewhat residential area. But this added to it's charm. As usual the accommodations were excellent and the staff very helpful, especially the front desk person on the afternoon of Oct 27. I have forgotten her name but kudos to her.

I stayed here several years ago and they have definitely upgraded everything since then. The rooms are beautiful, with refrigerator and a second bar sink outside the bathroom. The staff were so friendly, including front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast service. A pleasant surprise was that instead of cable they have Directv with several HBOs and Cinemax channels. About two minutes from shopping centers and five minutes to the pier village.
