What a great property, it was newly opened in 11/15. My first contact was via the phone with Marrianna the front desk manager. She was fabulous! If Brad is your bellman, your welcome will be complete, his smile and hospitality are the best. The rooms are nice and new, beware of the new wall outlets, they are the new child proof variety , the front desk can send someone up to open them. Find the tray in the kitchen to take breakfast up to your room. The roof top pool area was great, especially i... Read more

Overall, a positive experience. Beautiful room and comfortable bed and nice view of the river. Some things that could be added to make this a 5 rating: there should be safes in the rooms and it would be nice if they had a restaurant (aside from breakfast) and a bar to hang out at.

This hotel is very new. The hotel is immaculately keep and the staff is exceptional. The rooms were great with comfortable beds and we had a balcony with a riverview. The breakfast was more than sufficient and the evening social was fantastic. We also loved the rooftop pool with the cabanas and TV's. A definite place to stay when visiting Savannah

Prime location for walking; staff encountered always greeted us and asked how our day (or our stay so far) was going. Valet staff very helpful and attentive. Make sure to book a river view suite with a balcony - the view is lovely. The rooftop pool and outdoor fireplace were very nice!

My sister and I stayed here in Savannah for two nights. The hotel is new and beautiful, and the roof pool and cabanas and fire pit is amazing!!! Everyone was friendly and service was excellent. Penny was exceptional, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. Now we know what true Southern Hospitality really means. Location is right on River Street also, so easy to do the Riverwalk.

This is our first stay in a Homewood Suites. We were very impressed with the staff and the accommodations. From the beginning at check-in Mona was our go-to person. Any questions we had she was more than willing to answer or find the answers. She called us by name each time we walked by the front desk. During the evening reception Desirée was the smiling face we looked for each evening. She seemed truly glad to see us each night. The $26.00 per night parking fee may seem high but it is the... Very nice hotel in downtown Savannah Historic District. Stay on river side to be able to watch the ships as they come and go on Savannah River. Convenient walk to all downtown Savannah has to offer. Very cool roof top pool with cabanas equipped with own personal TV. Staff was very accommodating and personable. Highly recommend if you're in Savannah area on business or vacation.

Absolutely everything was done in excellence and modern hospitality. Great job guys, from the moment we arrived, parking was made a simple. The curtsy shown to us at check in, and the wonderful information supplied by Ms. Felicia Smith who's beautiful smile and charming presence made it easy to follow her directions to enjoy a great meal at one of the favorite restaurant in Savannah. It started with Penny who made sure we had a early check in when we requested it. The room was beautiful and modern. There was a nice pool deck and gym. There was a cocktail hour (Italian night). Drinks included with no extra fee. To top it off we were on River st. Down the street river front from restaurants, bars, and shops. Sunset was amazing. I surely would go back. And breakfast was included.

The hotel was beautiful. The breakfast bar was great! The location was excellent. The valet parking is over-priced. I think it is ridiculous to pay for valet parking when you park your own vehicle. If anything, you should only be charged for parking in the lot if you chose to park your own vehicle.

The hotel is a beautiful place and right on the river. It is easily accessible for those who are traveling by trolley, DOT (City free transportation), and/or walking. The free breakfast and pool are fabulous. The parking is the only issue that I had. The hotel requires guests to pay for a $25 valet parking, even if they park their own vehicles and the city parking is only $15 per day so you may want to consider this when staying at this establishment.

It's totally valet parking - which can take a little to get used to - especially when they get busy, but if they didn't do valet, they probably would not have any parking spaces available for their guests. Easy check in/out, friendly staff. The pool on the roof offers another great view and while it's not really made for swimming - it's really shallow, it's still pleasant. Great location if you want to just want the river front and into downtown.

We stayed one night in a king-sized room on the 4th floor (418). We loved the layout and design of the room. It had a mini-kitchen that included a full-sized fridge that was great for chilling drinks for our next day's walk around Savannah. There was a nice size, tile shower separate from the sink. Only downside was there needs to be a stronger fan to handle steam from the shower, but it wasn't a major problem. Greatest asset of the room was the excess amount of outlets and USB ports and ex... They have rooms with balconies which looked really nice that face the river. The evening food and wine/beer time was nice. I would give a 5 rating but paying $26 for parking on top of the room cost is a bit much. It should at least be cut in half. The valet was a little expensive ($27 a night) however your car is locked up in a secure area and the hotel is walking distance to all of the cute restaurants and shops. The staff was accommodating. Great breakfast, just keep in mind their traffic that is posted inside in elevator. If you go during the busy hours 9-9:30 you will have to be aggressive if you want a table. I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. From the beautiful room, to the great views, to the awesome breakfast and free beer, wine and food everyday at their happy hour between 5:00-7:00 p.m. Frankly, you could fill up at happy hour and never make it to dinner. The staff was top notch, professional and accommodating. One of our favorites was swimming in their rooftop pool. This will always be my choice hotel when visiting Savannah!

Great location in Savannah. A brand-new hotel that was decorated for the holidays. Much appreciated for the kids. Very hospitable staff. The evening social was a nice surprise. The kids didn't even want to go to dinner they were so happy with the lasagna and salad that was served. There was also complementary Sam Adams, Bud Light, and wine. The breakfast in the morning was equally as good. We all made our own waffles plus we had eggs, sausage and potatoes. The atmosphere was very family-friendl... Read more

Friendliest staff at a hotel ever! Everyone smiling and upbeat! Nicest quality and enjoyable complimentary breakfast and evening social I have experienced! Great value and location. Park in city parking lot on weekend when meters don't need to be fed to avoid valet charge.

I had previously wrote an average review because of the service we received at check in. I was contacted by the hotel staff and they addressed my concerns. Never thought I would ever get a call to hear my story further. Homewood Suites is dedicated to customer service and appreciate the fact they took the time call. This is a very nice hotel right on the river within walking distance to restaurants and shops. After today we will be back.

For the money, this was the best hotel I've ever stayed in, which is a big call. The staff were over-the-top friendly. The check in staff would greet us each day by name and the staff in the dining area were just lovely. Room was spotless and the hotel location is right near all the riverside bars/cafes/restaurants. When we head back to Savannah we won't bother looking at other hotels.

On our way from Myryle Beach to Jax Florida we decided to spend a night in Savannah. Booked a riverfront suite at Homewood Suites and was surprised first by the location. The hotel is only one year old and is located convenient to walk everywhere. Just walking into the lobby we were sold. Christmas decorations and nice cozy lobby was inviting. Better yet, the staff treated us like family. They seemed to remember every guest by name. Our room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the river. We... Read more
