Our queen bed room was very clean with a sufficient amount of space to sit and relax. The breakfast was your basic Holiday Inn Express fare, which we like, especially the cinnamon rolls. There was a lot of variety. But the location was the best thing. The hotel was across the street from the hop on trolley stop on one side and across the street from the walkway to River Street on the other - easy walking to many restaurants and shops. Plus the hotel was just several blocks away from some of the ... Read more

Nice clean hotel with all the amenities. We weren't too happy about the cost of valet parking but it seems that nearly all the hotels in the historic district charge for parking. The location is really great. We could walk to almost everything we wanted to see and do. The whole staff was excellent. The woman at the desk, Jacquita, was extremely helpful in finding our best rate and in giving us hints for what to see and do in Savannah. When we asked for her help in booking our next city, Ch... We stopped here after driving up I-95. Tired and got off the road to spend the night. The room was nice, clean, and fresh. Bed comfortable. The breakfast bar was okay, was hot, had mini cheese omelets, sausage gravy and biscuits, pancakes, bagels etc. Sausage patties and links. Would definitely recommend this place.

Our family celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at the Holiday Inn. Sonja (the concierge) treated us as if we were royalty. The receptionists were as sweet as can be, the maintenance staff were friendly and pleasant, the hotel was clean and well looked after, and the breakfast rocked. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

This was our first time visiting Holiday Inn Express in Savannah and the service was exceptional ! The staff is really friendly and informing and the hotel is very nice both inside and out . Finding parking is pretty difficult so we used their valet service for $22 a night . My valet attendant Matthew was extremely pleasant and made us feel very welcomed . Would love to lodge with this hotel again !

This hotel has an ideal location in the historical district in Savannah. Everything within walking distance. The parking is another $22 a day but it is valet parking. The only problem was that the fire alarm went off late at night. We all had to evacuate the hotel. It turned out to be a false alarm. This was a bit disruptive to our night.

My friend and I went to Savannah in the fall just for a nice getaway. I have always wanted to go to Savannah, and it was a perfect time of the year! We arrived a lot earlier than expected, and our room wasn't ready yet; however, the front desk team told us where we could change and held our bags for us while we went to explore. They were such a sweet group of ladies, they made our trip so easy and fun. They were able to tell us the best places to go in the historic district. The room was really ... Read more

It's busy in Savannah during the extremely hot June month so all the rooms were expensive. I booked this hotel because it was lower on the price side but still looked nice. Good decision. The room was clean large and cool. The location was superb. Mid river street is just across Bay Street and down some stairs. Broughton and city market 10 minutes away. Really is centrally located, one block from the river walk. We stayed at a bunch of Hi exp, Comfort Inn, Hampton Inn type hotels on our drive from Washington DC. This was by far the nicest. Great staff too. The breakfast is fairly standard carb heavy but the layout is better than most and they had ham in addition to the sausage, a welcome change. I wouldn't bother with a balcony room. But I would try for a river view from a higher level. It's awesome to see a huge ship move past the Windows. I... Read more

Valet staff was amazing, cool under pressure with a huge line backing up from people arriving for the July 4th weekend. We got a great deal on Orbitz/Hotels.com for this hotel, and boy were we lucky! It's a beautiful well kept hotel. We had a great view of Bay Street and the river. Free breakfast (which is always a plus), and they have activities for kids throughout the week. Their parking is $22 a day, but if you find parking on the street, it's free on the weekends and it's .30 cents per hour from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. We will definitely stay here again.

The midnight fire evacuation is one thing, and I can't blame the property for it, although I was surprised that something wasn't offered to the guests like us who were greatly inconvenienced by it. Great hotel and excellent location. Easy walks to the anywhere in the historic district and all of the restaurants and pubs that the area has to offer. Stay includes a light breakfast. There is a small bar that opens in the evening. There is $15 a day valet parking with free in and out or a public garage next door that is $5 a day. There are also a few rooms with very small balconies where you can watch all of the action on the street at night.

We booked this hotel about a month in advance. Just over a week before our trip, I checked on our reservation just to make sure everything was in order and I noticed that we had an offer to prepay and save almost $50. The hotel website shows that "Congratulations! You're getting the best price for our hotels. We guarantee it." So I prepaid thinking that I was getting the best rate. This hotel is highly recommended for any stay in Savannah. Perfect location, a stroll from the historic River Street with its eateries and ferries. A leisurely walk around the squares, a sit in one of the multiply gardens dotted throughout. A tour of one of the amazing old mansions was only one block away. The staff were charming, especially the concierge who helped us endlessly. The room was spacious, clean, well stocked and above all comfortable. Easy check in and out. A must stay in Savannah!
