Came to Savannah for a mini vacation and decided to try the garden inn. Front desk was very pleasant and helpful and rooms were very accommodating and clean. Highly recommend getting a room with balcony but otherwise it was perfect. Beds and pillows were very comfy but the location made our stay that much better. Walking distance to EVERYTHING! Restaurants and bars, city market, and the water front. Will definitely stay again

Love the location of the hotel, right by city market and the river district. Within walking distance of a lot in Savannah. We even walked to Forsythe Park and the Savannah Visitor's Center for a trolley tour from here. Check in was easy. The valet guys weren't very helpful when we were trying to figure out where to park overnight. They claimed not to know how much the parking garages were, or if we could park anywhere else but there. The hotel is conveniently located on Bay street, just across the street from the stairs down to the river. It is a 10 minute walk from the Hyatt hotel, where you can take an elevator down to the river instead of risking injury on the treacherous stairs. The City Market is right behind the hotel, and there is a 10 minute walk to the Visitor's Center. However, the value for the money was poor, IMO. Breakfast is not included in the price of the hotel. Hilton Garden Inn is conveniently located in Savannah's historic district. Nice rooms and amenities you would expect from a Hilton property. Friendly staff, none breakfast buffet. Be aware some rooms on the 2nd floor look directly onto the pool area. Which is great except people lounging by the pool can also see into your room.

The staff was great. Very attentive and helpful. Enjoyed talking with the Valet guys. However my room was just barely adequate. Almost had to turn sideways to get into the door. The bathroom door couldn't be open if you needed the closet or leave the room. The mattress really hurt my back each night. Lots of tossing and turning. And the carpet was sticky to my feet. Gross! Only ate here for breakfast one day, but I was very impressed by the entire waitstaff. Each one of them (Matthew, I believe his name was in particular, was particularly helpful in getting my orders in and showing me around) went above and beyond to make my meal as enjoyable as possible. Our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn was very nice. Only slight negative to mention was that it was a little bit noisy late into the night on our first night there...just traffic noise, not too bad, but it kept us up a little and something others might want to be aware of. This is one of the classist Hiltons we have been to. The staff is excellent and the men in the valet positions are exceptional. Corporate needs to interview these young men for additional positions of responsibility. They understand customer satisfaction blended with efficiency. I wish I had a team like these young men. The rooms vs. value is exceptional and leaves the guests with the feeling that they are all special. Thank You and please do not change the company goals and mission statement.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the location is fantastic and very easy to walk to most any place in historic downtown. The hotel itself is ok, nothing special. We had a great trip and the hotel was nice and in a good location. The only thing that went wrong was the valet service. They charge $25 a day to park your car which I was okay with. What I was not okay with is the fact that they parked a new car on Monday and when I got it back for a day trip on Wednesday there was a dent in the door. You still have to pay the $25 and then fill out a claims form so you can jump through hoops trying to get reimbursed for damage to a new car.
