We stayed 3 nights at the Hampton Inn & Suites in May 2016 to do some sightseeing in Savannah and the nearby area. The hotel was located about 10 minutes from Savannah's historic district, 10 minutes from Bonaventure Cemetery, and 30 minutes or less from Tybee Island (lighthouse). Free parking is in a multi-level parking lot adjacent to the hotel. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, including some within walking distance. There is also a Fresh Market or Sprouts (can't remember which)... Read more

I'm a Hilton Honors member (as well as a few other loyalty programs) and typically stay at this Hampton Inn when I'm here on business. Typically, my room doesn't have a refrigerator (not a deal breaker, but it would be nice). Breakfast at the Hampton-brand hotels is typically better than, say, Holiday Inn Express. However, this time, I was disappointed both mornings - very bland. The big problem were the multiple stains on the carpet (they didn't look new, likely from soda or coffee). Also,... Read more

The hotel and service was fine. However, I had searched for hotels in Savannah's Historic district and this turned out not to be nearly as close as we thought. We had to take a cab for our drinks, dinner and Ghost tour which cost us $20 each way, including a tip. It was more costly than hotels we had stayed at elsewhere, but I think that was common for all Savannah hotels

As expected, this Hampton Inn provided outstanding rooms and service. Unlike our stay at the Baymont Inn the night before. The staff was friendly and humorous. They went out of their way to make sure everyone in their building was happy and satisfied with everything. They made sure you knew the floor was wet when stepping off of the elevator even when the signs were clearly visible that the floor was wet. Excellent breakfast, excellent rooms, excellent staff, excellent management!!!

This hotel is just outside the historic downtown Savannah area so you need to drive about 10 minutes to get there. However, after being in the historic area traffic this is not a bad thing. The staff was very friendly and helpful in giving directions and dining advice. The rooms were quiet and spacious compared to other hotels I've stayed at.

I had a Be My Guest pass for a free standard room at any Hampton Inn in the country due to an awful experience I had at a Hampton Inn a couple of months ago where I checked out immediately due to incredibly disrespectful staff, a poor quality room, and a DIRTY room. We were planning a trip to Savannah anyway, so we decided to use the pass to stay at the Hampton Inn there to save us a bit of money. The stay at this Hampton Inn was better than that, but that wasn't hard to accomplish considering h... Read more

This hotel is clean and has a great pool. The location is ideal and close to everything. But this staff needs serious training. They did not know how to service the needs of the guest. Until I complained to Hilton, it was normal procedure for the maid staff to knock on the guest door and hour before check-out; to tell them that their check-out is at 11:00 and that they need to get ready to leave. I believe they have since discontinued this. This really made me mad.

Room was OK, but nothing special. Typical room, noisy a/c system and all. What made the stay special was the overly friendly staff, from front desk check-in to security, everyone was very pleasant and eager to assist however needed. Personalized greeting and welcome from the General Manager was unusual, and a nice touch.

Only notes for future travelers are watch out for the construction that is going on close to the hotel the traffic can be a little hectic at peek times. Great Hotel. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Great location, good breakfast, clean rooms, great swimming pool and hot tub. I loved the indoor pool. That was very important to me, 24/7. The price was good.

Nice hotel with great rooms. No issues with noise (which is a big thing for us). The included breakfast was decent and the staff was friendly. A short drive from the historic waterfront district and within driving distance from beaches (we went to Tybee Island)

I stayed here to attended a reunion for military Veterans that was headquartered at this hotel. The hotel staff made us feel welcome and took care of our every need and those of the group as well. My only complaint was the worn and soiled carpet in our 2nd floor room. Other than the carpet problem our stay here was very pleasant. The beds were very clean and comfortable, the AC worked perfectly and the staff was second to none friendly. The complementary breakfast was exactly what you would expe... Read more

Very convenient and staff was particularly helpful and friendly. Location is easy to get to but a little far from all the best parts of Savannah. Room and facilities were clean and well maintained. Parking is free with excellent access from room and lobby.

Although this facility is located in mid-town Savannah ( away from the river and old- town Savannah), the value this facility provides is outstanding. Staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful, and there were restaurant, shopping, and entertainment venues conveniently located within walking distance. Transportation to old-town Savannah and the river walk was accessible and convenient. We found this to be a very relaxing and laid-back experience. We would not hesitate to stay here again ... I walked in and went to the desk. The desk clerk was speaking to another employee. She never once looked up to acknowledge me. Once she finished with the other person, she said "Name?". Class act wasn't it. I went through the check in process and was handed two digital cards as keys. We went up to the room and found that neither of the key cards worked. Back to the front desk for keys that actually worked. Went back to the room and found that the room rug was exceptionally dirty, with a ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for four days. It was very convenient for getting to HAAF and the downtown area. Our room was clean and quiet. The staff was very kind and attentive to any requests we made. It was great to have coffee and hot water for tea in the lobby 24 hours a day. The continental breakfast was nicely appointed and we didn't have difficulty finding places to sit. The 3 story parking garage provides plenty of space for everyone. We didn't use the pool or exercise room on this visit, b... Read more

We were here just after hurricane Matthew, I cannot say how wonderful these service people are. Fantastic. A special shout out to Tonya Frederick, Emmanuel Davis and Kaleigh Kendrick. Great wine and cheese. The chicken gumbo made by yours truly Tonya was fantastic. You don't even need to go to dinner. Salad, gumbo, cheese and crackers, wine and beer. What else's do you need.

We had a pleasant 3 night stay. The staff was accommodating, the room was clean and quiet and the breakfast and breakfast staff were good. There were restaurants and anything else you would need very close by.

The entire staff was incredibly welcoming. Our room was disgusting! I pulled back the blanket to see makeup smeared all over one blanket and someone else's hair all over the bed (in the sheets and on the pillows). The other bed had crumbs and stains on the sheets. The bathroom was filthy, particularly the sink area. The room furniture was super cute but also covered in filth. Tissues were shoved back into the tissue holder. We checked in late at night with 2 small kids and other hotels in t... Read more

When I arrived the hotel was sold out. Fortunately I was one of the room holders. My first 3 days I stayed in a room that had an old smoke smell. I explained to the front desk that this was not ok. They had me pack all of my things and moved me to another room while I was at work. The new room is wonderful. They seem to make it their personal responsibility to own the customers problem and find a fix. The staff is kind mostly. One of the ladies who prepares breakfast constantly complains in the ... I just wish I knew the proximity of the hotel to,the river front it would have been easier to navigate to the river front directions given were good but parking to the river don't not good. A shuttle to river front would have been helpful
