Very nice and accommodating. They showed us other available rooms when we arrived and allowed us to move to another more favorable room. Evening wine and cheese was a nice way to meet other guests. Breakfast was prepared when we were seated and was hot and delicious. Parking can be a challenge, just like everywhere in the city.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The amenities were excellent and the service outstanding. The breakfast is 5 star. We drove and stayed 3 nights. They made sure we had parking and helped with the luggage. I loved that we were next door to St. John the Baptist Cathedral and I was able to go to daily Mass at 7:30 am. The Cathedral opens at 7:00 am for morning Mass.

Ideally located in the historic district of Savannah, the Hamilton is a beautifully and authentically preserved old inn. The room we had was very large and beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. Gourmet breakfast is served each morning.

Excellent location, complimentary happy hour in the main parlor and scrumptious breakfast daily, as well as beautifully appointed rooms. We stayed in the James Oglethorpe Suite which I highly recommend. It is large, comfortable and overlooks historic Lafayette Square. It is appointed such that you feel you have stepped into Antebellum history. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely book here again.

Hamilton Turner inn is situated in a beautiful Square called Lafayette. It is in the historic district. It is a dated grand house that once belonged to a Doctor, it still has a reputation of being haunted. We were greeted by Dennis, who took all our cases upstairs, we sat in a beautiful room which I can discribe as a parlour. The decor is beautiful with hand painted walls and lovely furniture to match. Dennis then realised he had made a mistake and in actual fact our room was downstairs. Un... Read more

We stopped at this Inn for three nights, we wished we could've stayed longer. I cannot fault the Inn whatsoever, it was a lovely place. Firstly and foremost the staff, they were wonderful, they were always there (but discrete) to do anything for you. The Inn is sumptuously decorated to the highest standard, as are the bedrooms we were in the John Habersham in the basement. There were a few sittings for breakfast and were (for me) a little too formal, but that isn't a criticism, that's just m... Read more

While priced higher than what we normally allow ourselves, we had a wonderful experience. Staff was very attentive, professional, and friendly. I do agree with some of the feedback regarding parking. Valet service would definitely be a good thing for the inn to consider. We booked fairly close to our arrival date, so we had to change rooms...perfectly understandable. Staff took care of moving our belongings - Thank you! Although the vanity, while beautiful, was a bit on the small side, maki... Read more

The staff was always available to assist us. We had a slight emergency and one of our group had to fly back home unexpectedly. The staff on duty that night assist her with a 4 AM wake up call and made sure she was awake to depart.

Journeying north from a family wedding in FL, my wife and I visited historical Savannah, GA, an intriguing city of unique atmosphere and good food. We stayed at the Hamilton-Turner Inn on Lafayette Square. The staff was very friendly and helpful in arranging tours. We dropped our bags and were on a trolley tour within minutes with pick-up just a half block away. Later in the afternoon, we joined other travelers at the inn in delightful conversation over complimentary wine and cheese in a sun s... Read more

We were pleasantly surprised by our visit. The accommodations were some of the nicest we have ever stayed in. The room was beautifully decorated; the breakfast was awesome. The location was terrific! There was not one thing I would change about this inn! I would stay here again in heartbeat. It made our 25th Wedding Anniversary a memorable one. A word careful about walking down Broughton Street; I literally almost got mugged during daylight. Just need to know where to go. This was b... Read more

We chose the James Oglethorpe room for our stay and it was beautiful. It was difficult to choose a room prior to arriving, since all are different. We loved our stay in Savannah and the staff was great at pointing out what might interest us. Even a day trip to Tybee beach and lighthouse was fun. The breakfasts were plated and served to all with a different menu each day. If I could change one thing, it would be to have more time at breakfast.I would definitely return to the Hamilton Turner In... Read more

I was lucky enough to be invited to stay with a good friend of mine at The Hamilton-Turner Inn for a girls night in Savannah. This place is seriously heaven! Everyone working at the inn was extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The Innkeeper Susie Ridder personally welcomed us, gave us a tour of the common areas and our room, as well as told us about all of the complementary amenities. While we were checking in afternoon refreshments were available in the parlor, which is an incredibly bea... Read more

This Bed and Breakfast was amazing! The room was exceptional (Oglethorpe) and we couldn't get over the beautiful decor and spaciousness of it. We loved their service and the breakfasts were so yummy. This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Savannah because everything is easy to get to with just a little walk. We felt like we were in a movie at this location. Loved the snacks, appetizers, and wine that were put out for us every afternoon and evening in the parlor. Such a nice touch! Wo... Read more

We stayed in the coach house which is a lovely three bedroom apartment. What luxury! Each room was sumptuously decorated and the lounge room was rich maroon with lovely porcelain plates decorating the room. There are lovely canapƩs and wine in the parlour in the late afternoon where it is delightful to catch up with other guests and talk about the town.

We loved this Inn! We have stayed in many B&B' s and this was exceptional. From the moment we arrived until our departure five days later, we had outstanding service. Our room was beautiful. We were in the Johnny Mercer suite on the first floor. Very convenient and easily accessed. The Inn has no elevator, so this suite was perfect for us. The Inn has four floors with rooms on each. The main floor is actually the second floor, after you walk up about nine steps from street level. The "first" flo... Read more

The Hamilton-Turner Inn is exceptional in all regards! The accommodations, the food, the location and the service exceeded our expectations. All of the 5 star ratings that I've seen on this site are well-deserved! You can't go wrong by choosing this beautiful establishment for your next visit to Savannah! Special kudos to Tim, Jeremy, Susie and the entire staff who offered excellent assistance in planning for activities and recommending restaurants.

Absolutely stunning inn. We had a magnificent room with beautiful antiques and the bathroom had 2 chandeliers. Incredible breakfasts and wonderful cocktail hour. There is no parking lot for the inn which was not a problem but I imagine it could be. There are no bell services. Staff was lovely but not very engaging and hardly ever smiled. We had a great time in Savannah and met many diverse people during the cocktail hour at the inn. One couple with whom we will visit in the future.

The Hamilton-Turner Inn is a classic Southern inn - a beautiful building overlooking a picture-perfect park (Lafayette Square), with elegant, high-ceilinged, antique-filled guest rooms and public spaces. It served delicious breakfasts, and had lots of nice touches (coffee and tea beginning early in the morning, wine and hors d'oeuvres in late afternoon, cookies at turndown). It's well-located for walking around the city and has ample free parking on the street. The staff was helpful, and the oth... Read more

I've now stayed at this Inn twice and both times I've loved it! Beautiful grounds, right on the square, gorgeous furnishings and comfortable rooms. The only thing I'm not thrilled with is that the downstairs rooms no longer have clawfoot tubs, just a stand up shower. Other than that, I can't say enough about this place.
