I would highly recommend this hotel. It is conveniently located in the Historic District within walking distance of River Street & The Market ( great shopping & restaurants)! The staff was very welcoming upon arrival and helpful with sightseeing tips. Southern charm at its best! We took the Old Time Trolly tour which took approximately 90 minutes. The final stop (#16) ended at The Doubletree. So convenient! We were able to hop off the Trolly without having to return to the visitors center. Sava... Read more

We are Hilton Honors members - we stayed on 6th floor on backside/away from Bay St in a Jr. suite Great room, very quiet, clean, and comfortable. Located on edge of downtown, which was nice since we had a car. It was easy in & out. Valet costly, but pretty typical for Savannah. They were great with directions for driving, recommending locations and getting pedi-cabs for downtown locations. Cookie & water upon check-in. This is a nice clean hotel. Was told it could be noisy if on Bay Street side, which it was. My problem is the 27.00 parking fee per day. They know they got you because you don't have any other options. We were to stay 2 nights but left after 1 night. They got the last 27.00 they will get from us.

Another great property by Double Tree. Close proximity to bars and late night dining in the historic part of town. W Bay Street offers great view of the Bridge and river at both sunset and sunrise. Only piece of advice is that Bay Street side rooms even on the 6thfloor are on the noisy side. Seems to be a truck route and be prepared for the ships horns at midnight! But makes for an unique experience. Pool was great, welcome cookie and pour hour area a nice touch. Would be good to see a reduction... Read more

The hotel was located right at City Market which was so convenient and only a short walk to the River District. The staff were all so friendly, respectful and helpful. Jamie and Kendall at the front desk were so nice! Everyone we came across said good morning (or evening), the hotel was clean, very nice.....we loved our stay and have already recommended to our friends and family.

I loce this hotel. I stayed there with my family and we had a double queen room, room #427. Partial view of the pool and City Street. There is no self parking, only valet for $27per day. The in room dinning is convenient and not that expensive and my kids loved the chicken tenders. However a short walk to River Street or City Street has SOOO many options for food. A foodies heaven. Location, location, location... Great to walk to almost everything. On a busy street, so a little room noise is expected. They did provide earplugs in the room, tho not needed for our family of four. We have stayed in Savannah three different places now, and we would stay here again. Room was nicely decorated and clean. Strong smelling air freshener is abundant throughout, but not offensive. A bathroom fan with an on/off switch would have been a plus.

I am biased. In general, I shy away from luxury hotels; I often find they have fewer practical amenities than two star places, just at triple the price. This DoubleTree is an exception. First of all, we arrived a day late. Why? Our flight into another city landed on time, but left us sitting on the plane for over an hour. We got to our bus station about ten minutes after the bus to Savannah left. With the options of waiting in a Greyhound Station until midnight to catch the next one and a... Read more

The Hilton Doubletree was a very nice and well appointed place to stay. Rooms are spacious and modern. Friendly staff. Parking in a downtown historic area is always a challenge, the hotel has mandatory valet parking which sometimes annoy me, but in this situation self parking would have been a nightmare. the location of this hotel is wonderful for sightseeing. I come to savannah on business about twice a month. I either stay at The Forsyth Mansion, The Bohemian, or here at the Doubletree. The rooms here are more "hotely" than the other 2. But the room is still really nice. The staff here is phenomenal- by far better than the other 2 hotels I mentioned. The common areas in lobby are really cool and boutique like, not big brand style. Top notch honors to all the staff we encountered throughout our stay - I say that first because they are the ones who you interact with and ultimately determine the outcome of you're stay. Must have been a pot hole right side my window ..didn't need an alarm clock that morning. Only Valet parking..Self parking: Not Available... Pricey valet parking... out in the weather, in an alley lot twenty steps away. (Just because all the hotels are doing it doesn't make it right).

Excellent hotel, freshly remodeled. It is in a great location, everything in walking distance. The lobby was impeccable, the rooms were spotless, and the staff was very friendly. I will certainly stay here again the next time we are in Savannah!

stayed for 2 nights recently. recently renovated. excellent location precluded need for car. Valet parking is $27 per night. morning buffet is very nice. evening cocktail hour is well received. a little noisy in the morning. bus stop for Hop-on Hop-off (white van) is just behind hotel and was very good. many restaurants within walking range as was the riverfront. would stay again.

We are Hilton Honors and booked in advance (and confirmed by the hotel) certain special needs. After 12 hours of traveling, we were exhausted and unfortunately our special health needs were not met. They also did not have on file that we had a breakfast plan. However, the next day fell into place and we could appreciate the hotel and the excellent location. The rooms with the sofa were a perfect size. The room was clean and modern. The front desk staff and the bell men did everything to compens... Read more

I had to be in Savannah for business, and I arrived a day early to enjoy some leisure time. The hotel was very accommodating to extend my stay - and even offered me the discounted rate my company was paying for my other days. When I checked in, I was told no room was available. They apologized and said it'd be ready soon - before I could check my bags with the valet, I received a text message that the room was ready! The text messaging service was very cool, and made it feel like you had your ... Read more

Very nice, great location hotel! Friendly staff, nice rooms, nice bar and restaurant. Valet area can be a little tight and busy on weekends, but the valet staff are on the ball and get everyone unloaded and vehicles parked in a timely manner, very impressed with their ability! Beside the concierge, the valet staff are excellent people to ask for recommendations.

The Doubletree is absolutely beautiful. The location is perfect. Steps away from everything. We were able to walk everywhere. The staff was wonderful. The price was a little high but we were there during the Food and wine festival and everything was high at that time.

This was our midway stop from North Carolina to south Florida. Arriving in the afternoon we were greeted with a pleasant and helpfull staff. Check in was quick and room selection error was resolved quickly (wife has mobility problems). Hotel recently renovated and updated. Rooms clean and nicely appointed. Beds comfy. The only downside we had was the outside traffic noise was not suppressed enough, maybe heavier curtains would help. We will be returning on our way back to North Carolina.

I feel compelled to write a review for the Double Tree Savannah because we had the best stay ever! We stayed two nights prior to our wedding because we moved over to our wedding venue after. The hotel was impeccably clean and beautiful. The location was awesome and the staff was amazing! The Front Office Manager Selina Gibbons went out of her way to take our luggage one day and also gave me an awesome gift basket in lieu of our wedding. Thank you to the Double Tree Savannah for MAKING our trip t... Read more

DoubleTree never disappoints, well yea they do - No Microwaves. Although they are nicer in terms of the rooms and facilities, they never have a microwave. This location is walking distance from everything and has valet parking.

This hotel is gorgeous, very clean rooms, nice staff and breakfast food is very good. I just did not like the $27 parking valet fee daily. I had to park in a garage down the street with was less expensive. It is over 2 blocks but not a bad walk. I wish the parking fee was affordable. when you stay at a hotel for a week, that fee adds up. If you have a long stay and spending on a room more then 3 days, I think the parking should be free. Just my opinion:)

Location good do not ask for room with view as this fronts noisy Bay Street trucks start at five am or earlier. Menu for dinner needs update. Parking expensive as only valet available. Location is close to historical district and good restaurants.

We recently stayed at the Doubletree. While the hotel was nice inside it was in a very noisy location. From our room we could hear the traffic and people down below us outside. Another setback was valet was required and not optional. That added another $27 per day to our stay. Most of the staff was very pleasant. However upon check-in, the person at the front desk was not very accommodating. I would stay here again if I had to, however it would not be my first choice.

We arrived November 20, 2016 for one night. Valet parking was difficult and took 30 minutes to get our luggage.Only one elevator was working. Our room was immaculate on 3rd floor. The noise level was extremely noisy early morning. We complained to the front desk manager about all the issues and they comped breakfast. Now the good news HONNORS sent us a questionnaire on or visit and 24 hours later we received a email we were being reimbursed the entire amount of our bill. We did not expect the re... Read more
