What a great place to stay! The rooms are clean and the staff is super friendly. The shuttle took us everywhere we wanted to go and there was never a wait time. Loved the beach! Sal has the rental chairs and he is fabulous! Jordan Dahl was our bartender for a couple of days and had the best personality and was very helpful in what to see and do while we were on the island!! Ashley was a great waitress! This is my second summer in a row staying here and it far outweighed the first! I hope all the... Read more

Lovely modern and clean hotel in a great location. We stayed for 3 days at the start of June 2016. The room was very clean with incredible beach views from the balcony. Sunrise was absolutely amazing in the morning! Shame the bed wasn't facing the window more so you could watch it from the most comfortable spot. Not very busy the days we stayed but heard it can get packed out pretty quickly. Dinner was really enjoyable with good service, breakfast was a little slower and lacking in the service ... Read more

Very responsive staff at this lovely property. We love the comfy bed, the great oceanfront pool and the beach area. Beach chairs/umbrellas available from a wonderful guy. On site restaurant is very good but way too pricey. Every staff member we encountered was kind and helpful. Property is very well kept. We will choose this property again!

Great hotel with wonderful amenities and a great location! The pool is a zero entry which is perfect for little kids. The pool offers towels and food service. The pool side bar is good and has happy hour which is nice. Beach chairs by the ocean are available for one price all day. You can use pool towels. Hotel is in a new area that is growing with new shops and restaurants. Once the roof top bar is finished it will be a great addition the staff was all wonderful! Rooms are very comfortable ... Beautifully decorated hotel. Clean and contemporary design. Excellent amenities. Pool could have been bigger , staff was very friendly , courteous and eager to help, especially Kayla at the concierge desk. Loved the flavored water in the lobby. Great restaurants affiliated with the hotel. Great views and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.

They made us feel welcomed and valued as well as our 13 and 6 year old grandchildren. Loved the convience of the shuttle to any place on the island. Very relaxed. Would love to go back again.

From the moment we checked in we were extremely impressed. LEIGH was the Front Desk person who checked us in and he was wonderful. He wished me a "Happy Birthday" which shocked me as I hadn't realized my husband had informed them when he made the reservation that it was for my birthday. He then proceeded to see if he could upgrade us to a room with a better view since we were only staying the one night. We had tried to book 2 nights but it was sold out since it was the Memorial Day weekend. ... Read more

If you want a peaceful, serene beach escape, this is it! I was impressed at how sound-proof the rooms were. The hotel was packed, yet I rarely heard any noise. I had a courtyard view, and could also see the ocean from my room. This beach isn't commercialized; just full of sea turtles and endless sandy beach. It's quiet and oh-so-beautiful and this is a lovely place to take it all in.

The last day of our honeymoon we decided to visit Jekyll Island. We booked at the Westinghouse because of its beach access and reviews we had read. It has several shops and places to eat in a small shopping center in front of the store to include a small "general store" that has the essentials for extended stays. When we checked in my wife had mentioned that we were on our honeymoon. The receptionist, Kayla, congratulated us and was very friendly as she checked us in. We left for the evening ... Read more

Though this is a new property, it has not been well maintained in its short tenure. The windows in the common areas were smudged, preventing unencumbered views to the gorgeous oceanfront. We've stayed the past several years in Amelia Island at the Ritz and Omni Hotels and decided to try this new property. We were fairly well pleased throughout the course of the week with the property due to the proximity of the beach and area attractions, in spite of the poor maintenance (chipped paint and stucc... My husband and our 14th month old daughter stayed at the Westin for a rare long weekend getaway. The front desk staff was very unpleasant upon check-in and the maintenance staff was rude as well. The Oceanview room we reserved was mediocre at best which was somewhat disappointing since we paid $414 per night. The location is great with the hotel being situated right on the beach. Enjoyed everything about this resort, except for the limited amount of beach chairs and umbrellas and the size of the pool. The pool is tiny for the size of the resort and it gets so crowded it is not enjoyable. At one time, my husband I counted 30 kids in the pool. Also, two days in a row the resort ran out of umbrella and beach chairs (the guy who works by himself to put the chairs and umbrellas out deserves a raise!).

Fairly new hotel. Grounds and facility well maintained, clean and modern. Staff very friendly and anxious to please. Managers need additional training and pay more attention to the details. Small things make the difference between an excellent experience vs an OK visit. Items omitted from breakfast buffet took more than one request to be fulfilled. My husband and I had a quick overnight getaway this weekend and loved the Westin. Not sure why it's not rated #1 in Jekyll. The room was spacious, clean, well appointed and quiet. A delightful experience.

We spent four days at the "new" Westin Hotel. It is only a year old and everything is brand new. Westin is a great brand with great value. The hotel has everything you want and then some. Every staff member went out of their way to provide great customer service. The rooms are large, the wifi was strong. They put out children's games on a table outside the restaurant which we thought was nice touch. Great place for meetings as well as just a nice family or couple getaway. Great location jus... We loved our 2 night stay at The Westin! However during the last night of our stay I woke up and my husband told me, "That picture on the wall is creepy!" Our travels don't frequently take us to places that have Westin hotels however having experienced this one we'll broaden our sphere of travel to include them more in the future. Free self-parking was a nice surprise as more often than not, resorts charge $20 or more per night to park. Check-in was seamless with very courteous front desk staff. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet and the wifi sufficient to catch up on some work. Our room (472) offered a great balcony view and the in room co... Read more

My wife and I booked a wedding block and a rehearsal dinner at the Westin and we loved the service we got. Everyone was incredibly friendly, the food at the Reserve was delicious, and the rooms were fantastic. We worked with Robin and she did a great job helping us set up the room block and the reservation at the restaurant.

My family patronize SPG properties exclusively so we are very familiar with the Westin expectation of quality. Our worst Westin ever was in Cancun. I guess the quality of hotels at beaches is lacking because people are just happy to be on the beach. In any case, this was a very new property. However, the usual amenities were quite lacking. The mattresses felt old and the metal "rim" of the mattress (dunno what to call it), bites into your legs until you swing over into the sinky part in the midd... Read more

We just spent a long weekend here and absolutely loved it. Prior to this trip, It had been 3 years since we had been to Jekyll. There have been many changes in that short time, including the opening of this gorgeous property. The Westin is on one of the best sections of beach on the island and the property doesn't disappoint. It is modern and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Jekyll is one of the few beaches that hasn't been commercialized to the point of the area lo... Read more

Hotel is beautiful but I'm not sure I'd consider it a resort. I can stay at a resort with a lot more amenities in Orlando for 3 nights for what it cost us for one night at the Westin. And the price of the breakfast buffet is ridiculous! It was $76 plus tip for 4 for breakfast. That's just crazy! Plus I called that morning to see about changing my room to one with 2 queen beds and was told they were booked for two beds but could upgrade me to king with a pull out couch. But got there to be ... Read more

My husband and I just returned from an Anniversary get away to Jekyll Island. From the moment we arrived at the Westin we were so impressed with the staff. The bellhop took our luggage to the room and he had wonderful information about things to do as well as the best places to eat. The staff sent a bottle of wine to our room to celebrate our Anniversary which was so nice! I had read some reviews about people not getting the room they booked. We had no trouble with that as we booked a King ... Read more

We attended a brunch after a small beach wedding. Not only was the brunch delicious but the server Ashley was very attentive to our party and polite from the time we came until we left. In addition, the hotel did not charge for the bride and groom which was a nice unexpected gift. The location is beautiful. We enjoyed our meal overlooking the ocean and could not have had a better experience.

The hotel was a lovely place. The staff was very sweet and accommodating. Room service was okay. Only down side was you the beach chairs were a extra charge. Pool chairs were not. The room was very clean and chic. Over all a good place to stay

My husband and I really liked our stay at the Westin. The hotel is sleek and attractively done on the inside. All the appointments and accessories have been carefully selected. Our bedroom overlooked the beach and had a small balcony so I could stretch out on the lounge chair and enjoy the morning. the rooms were impeccable with sleek modern design. Even the shower was exceptional with a rain forest shower head plus a hand held shower head. There is a personal safe for valuables, the food at... Read more

I absolutely love this hotel. Everyone is very nice. Rooms are extremely clean and beautiful. There are only 2 things that I really think need changed. The first and most important complaint is the air in the room. It was constantly turning off when it was set at 65. It never got down to 65. And the customer should be able to put it as lw as at least 60 if they choose too. Putting a restriction on how low you can set it is fine. But only allowing it to go to 66 or 65 is ridiculous. My second co... Read more

I have lived and worked on Jekyll, so after 4 years since my last visit, I wanted to make this visit special and chose to stay at the new Westin. First, they are trying to view themselves as a resort, but they are really just a nice hotel. Granted, the building is nice (but the art work is demon-like) and John the bell hop was great, but as the visit progressed, it was all about the little things. First, they never delivered the complimentary dog bed as promised. We opted to use the free West... Read more

My wife and I were very pleased to find the Westin a great beachfront hotel to stay during our Thanksgiving holiday visit to Jekyll Island. It is a newer hotel with great amenities, a very comfortable bed and good hotel meals. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a shuttle van service if you want to go to a restaurant on the island and don't want to drive your car which was a nice feature we used once. They are directly on the island bike path and you can rent bikes nearby if need... Read more

Our nicely appointed room was beachfront and it was absolutely quiet, at the end of one of the legs of the U-shaped building. The hotel opened somewhat more than one year ago. There is nothing more to smother this hotel with specially attractive features. We stayed here 5 days because we wanted to visit the Golden Isles. We had a package including breakfast, which was limited to the choice of one item or dish from the breakfast menu - obviously besides the coffee, toast and jam [Sunday brunch ma... Read more
