Very clean inside with great breakfast! Two people working breakfast buffet... The female was very friendly and helpful but male rude both mornings...loved the boardwalk to beach but pool was not clean...I had read this on here but wasn't a deal breaker because rest of hotel nice and clean... I had made reservations 3 months prior to my visit. I requested adjoining rooms. all was agreed upon. got my rooms to find out rooms weren't adjoined. tried 3 attempts by front desk to get it right, only to be told we don't have adjoining rooms for you. no manager ever contacted me or was I ever offered to speak to a manager. I did not get what I paid for! do yourself a favor and stay down the street @ Days Inn.

Stay very pleasant, but internet connection needs a lot of work. The property is getting older and with the salt air is in need of repair. Food was of usual good quality. Of Hampton. It would be helpful for beach experience if they provided beach chairs and umbrellas like the Westin did.

My sons and I drive down from Atlanta for a mini beach vacation. We had a great time at the Hampton Inn, our room was a great size, clean and we had a great view of the pool. We went to walk on the beach several times each day and loved the privacy of the island. We will be back to enjoy this beautiful island and hotel!

this is a wonderfull and quiet place take a trip around the isle by bike that is really a relaxing experience! The breakfast is not so good, and served on plastic plates. but the beach is quiet and fantastic! We had a great time.

We love this hotel. The room is very spacious as a two queen bed suite. Plenty space for a family with a young kid to run around. Breakfast is from 6-10am, and there are variety of selections for everyone, including cereal, muffins, toasts, bagels, oatmeal, waffles, eggs and sausage/bacon. This hotel is about 2 hours from the house. So this is a nice trip to the beach for a night. Just to get away. The beach is secluded and very nice. The pool area is nice and very relaxing. We stayed on the island the whole time.

Domestic dispute happened two nights in a row next door to our room. Once reported, the clerk stated she would call Georgia State Patrol (which never happened). The couple was not asked to leave and we were compensated one nights stay. After being kept awake with a 5 year old for two night, I believe they should have been made to leave.

We are Hilton Honors members. We booked king room with a balcony. It faced trees. It was ok. The screen door did not work. The sound on our tv faded in and out. The shower door was hanging by one wheel. We informed the front desk. My husband was worried the door would fall so we kept that from moving and used the other door. Two days later they fixed it. We stayed here for a military ball and the hotel and scenery are beautiful!!! We spent the night on the patio with friends after the ball and awoke early the next morning to walk there boardwalk to the beach and watch the sun come up. Took us 20 years to watch a sunrise but this was worth it. The hotel and beach are secluded. Very very nice!! Trying to plan a trip back for the family.

A beach family celebration after our twins graduated from high school. This is the quieter part of the hotel beach area. The dunes are protected, so you don't see the ocean directly from the hotel. The hotel was really nice. Extremely large room. Very comfortable bedding and nice bathroom. Walkway to beach was beautiful. Not a lot of places to eat on Jekyll Island so we asked a family that was eating in the bar area how the food was and there reply was its ok. When my husband tried to get a menu from the bar tender he was very unfriendly and acted as if he didn't have time for us. So other than that everything else was very nice.

Unfortunately, we were on the third floor with noisy neighbors above us, so we checked out and went elsewhere. You can't see the ocean from any of the rooms and most views are of the pool or parking lot. We had a view into the trees with a small balcony. Typical hotel breakfast. Nothing outstanding for the high nightly rates. Disappointing for a Hampton.

I arrived at the property at 10 am and went to the front desk I was told I would be able to check in early and my number was taken. After I watched numerous ppl check in all through the day and after several trips to the front desk I finally got checked in at 4pm which is normal check in time.

I had requested early check-in but they "forgot" and I waited 1.5 hours for them to clean the room...needed some additional towels so asked the cleaning crew that where stil on the floor I was on--none spoke English but we figured it out. The hotel is very nice. Staff are very helpful and friendly. It is also very secluded which is wonderful. Only draw back I have is the hotel is down in the trees which blocks the ocean breeze and you cannot see the water from the hotel. The path to the beach is nice. You can also rent bikes from the hotel and ride all the paths from there.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The décor was very high end and we felt like we were at a resort. The private boardwalk out to the beach was quite a bonus.It was a spacious hotel, the rooms were very nice. Also, if you can't get a room, keep trying, ours opened up one week in advance over Memorial Day weekend. I would love to come back.

I'm not ever sure where to begin, but the hotel exceeded our expectations! The location was perfect and we enjoyed the secluded feel on the beach. Was never crowded and very peaceful. We visited over 4th of July weekend, which is probably one of the busiest times for the hotel. Housekeeping missed cleaning our room one of the 3 nights. We were able to track down the housekeeper while she was cleaning another room and to get fresh towels, which was all we really required. The hotel was nice as were the people that worked there. Great access to beach and the pool was very warm but to be expected in the end of June. Only draw back was one day we got back to the hotel early and our room hadn't been clean yet. They were very busy doing the check out guests rooms first. Overall a very pleasant stay. We decided to go to Jekyll island over the July 4th weekend . This hotel was vary nice , very clean and of course has breakfast every morning . One thing I loved about the hotel and the island is it was pet friendly . I have a 10 year old Pomeranian this bad it very nice for a last minute trip we didn't have to find a place for her to stay.

We had difficulty getting TV channels (no major networks or news channels available due to a change over which hadn't been completed), problems with the bathroom sink (never fixed), problems with the AC, etc. Nothing earth shattering but just not a great response to fix anything. Only a few bad points: Not enough carts during check out time, hit or miss on being able to make/receive phone calls. Overall the hotel was a nice stay with access to the beach, fire pit in the back of hotel, nice breakfast selection, rooms were clean and staff was nice. Microwave and mini refrig in room. Make sure you get the map at the front desk with tons of ideas for things to do while on Jekyll Island. fyi - there is a toll for entering/leaving island.

We had a king suite overlooking the pool. We enjoyed the beach as well. One night we had oysters on the half shell in the bar with a glass of Reisling and they were both delicious. Our housekeeping young man was amazing. He brought us towels right from the dryer. I guess when the hotel is full, there is never enough towels. Our favorite place to stay on Jekyll and we have tried several!

My husband and I were just stopping for one night on our way back home from Florida. We booked this reservation on reports from trip advisor and they did not lead us wrong. My two daughters, granddaughter and I spent 3 days at the Hampton Inn and it was perfect. Tho not right ON the beach, the hotel has a nice boardwalk thru/over the scrub oaks and dunes to get there. The included breakfast was varied and good every day, and food service at the lobby bar also excellent -- crab cake sandwich was THE BEST! Friendly staff, clean and well maintained property. I would definitely stay here again!

This is the second time we have stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites on Jekyll Island. Much has changed on the island in the past two years that we have been there, but the Hampton Inn hasn't. It still has the same consistent service and clean comfortable rooms. While they are located directly on the beach, the only downside is that the rooms do not have a view of the ocean. However, this has never been an issue for us. This is a great little hotel.

The hotel staff and the hotel itself were nice and we would stay here again, but there were a couple of observations (not complaints) that I think the hotel could do a better job of acknowledging on their website prior to arrival. We had never been to Jekyll Island, other than to the water park, so this was our first time and we were so happy with the hotel and our entire weekend in Jekyll Island. We had two rooms at this property. Let me start by saying the staff is awesome but the rooms were not. In one of our rooms we arrived to a dirty wash cloth in the bathroom and the ac not working. If you like dogs this is the place for you. I prefer my little humans, the dogs barked a lot all over the hotel. There is a nice fire pit and comfy seating. A pretty pool with shade. We stay at this Hampton each year for an annual conference for work. Hotel is always clean, breakfast is good (and the menu chages each day). The pool is zero entry which is awesome for kids. They also have a shallow kids pool and hot tub. There is a boardwalk to the beach. This was the second stay for us and it was excellent. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, and access to the beach is easy. The free parking is a nice perk and we never had trouble finding a place to park. The hotel is quiet and the rooms are clean and the balcony is large enough to sit and enjoy a lazy summer evening. This is my third visit to Jekyll Island for Vacation time. I chose Hampton because I am a rewards member. I was pleasantly surprised to the quality of the facilities. Nice clean pet friendly hotel with friendly helpful staff. Great location close to bike riding , kayaking, water park, and beach. You can even order food by the pool if desired during the day. The beach is a short walk down a boardwalk to a pretty private area of the beach. We found a sand dollar the first day. There are also protected turtle nesting activities on going. There is a shaded park with picnic tables adjacent to the hotel.

Before retiring 3 years ago I stayed in Hampton Inn only for over 12 years. Today we left at about 10:00 am and returned at 5:00pm after touring the island. I've stayed here several times for both family and business. This hotel has become such a disappointment. Check in was a nightmare not only for us but apparently many others too. People (and me) were outraged at the poor/slow/no service. The only thing that was prompt was them shutting down breakfast. First day was great and cleaned very well on check in, next day cleaning crew did not come until after 4 pm (even after we were gone all day and room was available for cleaning) did they come whe we were getting ready to go for dinner. We've stayed at this hotel each summer for several years now (3 kids). It's very clean, service oriented, and family friendly. The rooms are large. It's located on the beach but the pool area is very secluded and shady which is nice. The hotel has a resort feel with food and drinks available poolside. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Jekyll Island.

The only glitch was that our room was not ready at checkin time. The hotel was great. The staff was fabulous. The room was clean and the location couldn't be beat. I would definitely go back and suggest it to my friends.

Breakfast was good! We were given the wrong room number at checkin and had to go back. No hot water the first day. Other than that it was very nice. The fire pit was great. Pool was great. Beach access was great! Location was perfect! I would probably try another hotel when I go back again but it wasn't horrible.

Arrived just prior to checkin at 2:40. Our room Wasent ready for 6 hours !!! We sat in the lobby with several people ready to check in after long flights etc. it was mayhem. A lot of people were angry and it was ugly. We stayed for 6 nights. Our room was cleaned half way only one time. We never got fresh towels unless we went to desk and asked. I strongly recommend the Hampton Inn on Jekyll Island. For the price, location (right on the beach), and quality of stay. This is the place to stay. They also provide a shuttle service to anywhere you want to go on the island at no charge. The motel is close to everything.

I was showing visitors around Jekyll Island yesterday and we stopped in the Hampton Inn to check it out and decided to stay and have a cocktail. The bar person's name is Rob. We arrived on Labor Day for our second visit to the hotel and I tell you, after reading some recent stay reviews, I had become no longer excited out our trip. All those worries disappeared at checkin when we had the most pleasant experience with the friendliest staff. Our service was even better yah. Our first stay which was amazing! The pool is clean and the towels well stocked. I'm so excited for the rest of our stay!

Never again will I book with Get A Room! Price was about $200 more than direct cost at hotel. I will always try to get a booking directly from the hotel from now on. When I called Get A Room to complain about difference in actual cost and what they charged, we said Sorry you agreed to the charge and were rude. I just didn't know how much less direct booking would be.

We got there during labor day weekend so the hotel was full and we had to stay near elevator, which was a little noisy. But overall, a family friendly hotel, staff are very nice and friendly, boardwalk to the beach is convenient. Coffee and tea served all day long in the lobby with cookies available in the evening. Breakfast was ok, standard hot breakfast as other chain hotels. I read the reviews about the towels, but seems they have improved that the out towels were changed the 2nd day.

THERE IS NO FREE WIFI, you have to have an account with Hilton honors. The bar has HORRIBLE food and over priced. Free breakfast was big and make sure you get there at 8am due to the volume of people they run out of things a lot. Plus the food gets cold. The room was nice , bathroom clean , and tv average. The pool was amazing, hot tub amazing, and a board walk straight to the beach. The location of the hotel was easily accessible on the island. Overall not too bad.

This hotel has some positive things going for it such as 24/7 coffee/tea bar, really good breakfast, good pool area and an awesome boardwalk to a private beach area on the island with loads of nature to see. Great stay. Nice pool for all the family members! Breakfast was average, food from bar was NOT good but the drinks from the bar were great! Rooms were clean. You can always count on the Hampton for that. The staff was very friendly & helpful to everyone !

It's a Hampton Inn, so don't expect anything special. You can't see the beach, but it is easy to get there. You won't get a breeze or view, so it doesn't matter which side you face. In fact, the parking lot view may be quieter since they like to start up the blower around the pool in the morning. Breakfast is standard free fare -- edible.

Ok... the room, and customer service, were top notch. The breakfast was very good. Some hot things, waffle maker, fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, Etc.. But hers a few things to know. Certainly not deal breakers, but a bit of a surprise. First, to get on Jekyl Island, there is a toll. 6 bucks for 24 hours. There are options for more days as well. Ok... no grocery store. Very pet friendly enjoyed the stay would recommend it.It is just a little out of the way.Well worth it.Beach is close to hotel.Just a little walk down a board walk.Not many people on that end of town.Dogs were able to run and play.If you have a dog they will enjoy it just as much as you do. The hotel was very good. Accommodating, friendly staff. Breakfast was good with a nice variety. Grounds are in very nice condition and well maintained. Beach is amazing! Some of the items in the hotel are in need of a little updating, ie: sliding doors to balcony, bathtub fixtures. But overall a great hotel. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it. The pool was really nice with a hot tub and kiddie pool.

The property is located on the south side and is away from the town area. They do have a nice beach and pool, and the bistro serves food, just not a gourmet sit down dinner. When we went to check in, they said they didn't show our room. Then when we finally got a room it was 2 doubles beds but we reserved a king room. The air conditioning didn't work in the room and got very hot over night. We got up the next morning to see if we could get a different room. They assured us they would get one ready, we spent all day out exploring the island and when we came back there still wasn't a room ready.

Hampton is generally a nice place to stay, and this is no exception. Rooms were nice, and the overall decor is attractive. Great boardwalk over the dunes to a nice beach. However, this is one of those hotels that doesn't air-condition the halls or elevator, so when you walk out of your room, you begin to sweat. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay, but did not like having to call and request wash cloths and hand towels. They do provide a breakfast with plenty of items to choose from and we really liked that convenience. No vending machines on premises but plenty of ice machines! They really need to invest in some new bicycles!!! Also, some beach chairs for loan on the beach would be a great feature!

Lovely contained island! Golf on Oleander was fun! Lots of shopping shopping & more! The market had lots of everthing! The hotel was great. This is very nice hotel in a great location on Jekyll Island. The staff is friendly, the rooms are big and well appointed. The first trip I made was a one-night stay so we could visit my daughter's college; the second trip was a weekend get-away with my hubs for our anniversary. I've never had so many issues getting checked in, but the overall service improved. This site should definitely get an updated credit card machine and upgrade its wireless access points to broadcast better throughout the area.

We were there the weekend of the Shrimp Festival (mid September). It was a little crazy on JI, but the people at the hotel made us feel very welcome and made it easy for us to get to the festival with a shuttle. It eliminated the need to go thru the traffic. Breakfast was pretty standard, but well stocked. Our room overlooked a parking area so we were a little disappointed to be so close to the beach and look at cars.

I have stayed at lot's of Hampton's - they are all nice in different ways. This one in Jekyll is awesome. Right on the beach (very short walk), a nice bar open in the evenings, bartender is Jesse, nice guy. Pool was nice, and hot tub. Fire pit is on in the evenings! Breakfast was great. Staff all were very professional. This is one of the nicest Hampton's in which I have ever stayed. I am trying to think of something that wasn't just perfect.. I can't. Thank you!

We have stayed on 2 separate weekends with one room stale and mildew smell and the next was bright fresh and overlooked very nice patio (room 401). Front desk staff are sometimes outstanding other times indifferent. Small bar offering micro wave, or grill type food with some appetizers. This is a good example of how the front desk staff can make or break the customers experience. They definitely have some team members who could benefit from customer service training! Between that and the mold in the bathroom, I won't be back unless they are the only choice on the island.

Their complimentary breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We had a suite on the 2nd floor that had a pretty view of the pool area. We had a refrigerator and microwave in the room also. The parking lot was convenient to the entrance at back where we could load and unload. Also, it led only a few feet to the elevator to second floor. I would stay there again and again. Just a short walk and you are on the beach! The bar was open in the evenings. a Very Special Hampton Inn.

We were warmly greeted by Garrett who promptly registered us & provided directions to best place to park. 2nd FL end room with balcony was perfect for couple traveling with dog. There is sand dunes E topped with trees all across back of hotel so no view of beach/ocean from rooms. Nice boardwalk to beach with a couple of areas for sitting. Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites. We were in a fourth floor suite and it was a large area and plenty of room for us. The in room appliances etc. were nice. I have stayed here several times and choose to stay here because of the free breakfast since there is not much on the Island. The hotel is pretty clean, but is showing some wear. This hotel has a lot of groups due to the proximity to the conference center. Only issue this time: The shower was super cold. The location of the hotel would be great for beach goers/ vacationers. I was staying here due to business in Brunswick, GA. The rooms were sorta clean, would be higher rating but a lot of past guest's hair everywhere, i.e.; bed (comforter), shower, sink, bathroom floor. Shower head was the water saving type. Hampton Inn preserves its new feeling, rooms are spacious, breakfast flows well and beach access is easy. Safe Parking is easy and there are bikes available and a covered bike area to the left. Great older hotel with direct Atlantic beach access. Ideal location for a golf weekend with 22 of our closest golf friends. Outstanding beach front location with connected board walk over the barrier dunes. Island and US history are evident everywhere on the island. A number of very good restaurants, historic buildings, wildlife, bike trails, and outstanding beaches abound on the island.

We enjoyed our stay over all, but the a/c didn't work real well. The pillows are typical Hampton pillows and not very comfortable. The internet was spotty and the parking lot is not illuminated very well at all. The staff was very pleasant, the location is scenic, they are pet friendly and the rates were reasonable. Just hope to see a few improvements in the areas mentioned.

Our experience this month was not as good as the last time we stayed here (Sept 2016). The shower was not very warm, and the water pressure was low. The pillows were also very soft and not as comfortable. Our room did not get cleaned one day, even though we mentioned it to the front desk that our room had not been serviced. We mentioned this around midday, and our room was in the same condition that evening when we returned around 8:30. The hotel did provide a discount, which we appreciated.
