Nice, clean, comfortable accommodations; friendly & courteous staff; perfect location! Here for a long weekend of riding (motorcycle) through the tri-state area. Large bathrooms were nice. Even has some covered parking which allowed us to keep our bikes protected. Would certainly stay here again if in the area.

Cute German town. Great surrounding areas to ride motorcycles and then eat and have a cocktail. This hotel has covered parking which is nice for the bikes to be out of the weather. Staff gave a map of the town so you know food, shops and restaurants.

Breakfast food during my stay was not very good. I was looking forward to some bacon and eggs and maybe a gravy biscuit. What was there were eggs mixed with ham and omelets with a lot of stuff in them. The waffles were fine but I had nothing to eat with them.

We've stayed at this particular hotel in the past when hiking in the area or after a night of wine tasting at nearby Yonah Mountain Vineyards. Rooms are always clean and comfortable and quiet as they are well away from the street, so you'll get a good night rest for your next days activities, like another day hike in the area. Breakfast is served in the lobby just as any other Hampton Inn does, but the staff really makes you feel like you're at Mom's for Sunday breakfast. The Biscuits and S... Read more

This Hampton Inn is within easy walking distance of downtown Helen. It sits on "stilts" to avoid flooding from the nearby river so the lobby of the hotel is on the second floor. There is an elevator or stairs from the parking lot to the lobby. The hotel is clean so I felt comfortable there, but it is tired and in need of a refresh. It is pretty inexpensive so you can't complain about what you get for the money. The towels were rough and had given up their fluff long ago. The staff was ver... Read more

We had friends meet us here. We all loved the hotel and the friendly staff. We had warm cookies at night and 24hr coffee and tea. Our rooms were clean and service was great. The breakfast is typical Hampton but someone was always here cleaning up and making sure food was adequate. Will definitely return!!!

Nothing fancy but my children and I had a great time staying here. It is not on the main touristy street (which is good because it can get loud over there) but easy walking distance to everything. There was no USB outlet in the room! Staff were nice and friendly. Good coffee. They offered cookies in the afternoon. The creek is right behind the hotel and there are picnic tables and benches. The hotel is a little dated and rooms could use a little updating and painting.

We were only there for a night, but everything was good. The room was spacious with queen bed, couch, microwave, and fridge. Free internet worked well. My only complaint was the tub was a bit narrow and the handicap hand rail was right where I stood, so I banged my elbow multiple times. Front desk clerk and staff were very friendly and helpful in locating places to eat. Room was clean and has mini fridge / microwave. Once you take luggage to room via elevator located on ground floor - use the stairs BC the elevator is SO SLOW. Breakfast is free and limited choices. Riverview rooms are misleading as can barely see river for the trees but did enjoy the balcony. There are benches located on riverbank.

The hotel is ok, needs a little renovation work.situated in easy walking distance of the main town centre so location is good. Parking is ample. The rooms are quite basic but still comfortable. Breakfast was poor with limited warm food, more buffet style, which I'm not really a fan of, but knew what to expect. The pool was disappointing in size and cleanliness with limited shaded areas. Walk out the back to pool -- 25 yds beyond pool is the small, swift running, beautiful river. Superb! Now for the rest. Facilities clean but antiquated and in need of upgrade. Carpets worn, beds OK but not great. Bedding up to par. Furniture has certainly seen better days. Towels rough, has seen many washings. Breakfast adequate, not exceptional at all. Small serving area, limited selections and crowded. Not sure of any comparable facility on the river however in Helen. Next visit will... Read more

Being a Hilton Honors Reward Member I've stayed at quite a few hampton hotels, but this one for the size town was the best. Smooth check in with clean and comfortable room made my time spent here quite pleasent. The best experience though was with a man named Adam that was attending the front desk, his helpful attitude and willingness really brought it all together!

While I stayed here last year and gave a review, things seem to have changed a bit, enough for me to do another review. The carpets are worn, the bathroom smelled like mildew, and the housekeeping was not consistent. One day it was fine, another day the beds were made up sloppily and not much else was done. On the other hand, the breakfast offerings have improved and service at the front desk remains very good. This hotel still seems to be one of the better places to stay though I think next... the location is perfect, right off main street. Lots of covered parking spots - good if you are travelling on 2 wheels. We good an upgrade to a large suite with fireplace and whirlpool. The bathroom was huge, but the entire suite was kind of run down. The fireplace was greasy dirty, the bathtub and shower need to be ripped out and replaced! Towel hanger were so lose they turned upside down when hanging a towel on it - with the result of the towels falling to the floor. Carpets are dirty. One day... Read more

I was very happy with my stay at this hotel!! The breakfast was the best!! The staff was very accommodating and experienced!! They accommodated our Military Group very well from the beginning to the end of our stay! I would stay at the Hampton again if I go back to Helen GA!! All of the group members were very satisfied with their stay!! This is definitely the best hotel in Helen GA. All amenities were there for us, from internet service to pool and exercise equipment.

Sheets were not clean, smelled of perfume... Dirty wrappers left on the couch and bathroom. Sent message to General Manager days ago and never heard back... And we paid $348.85.... Really for a room that was not even cleaned from the prior guest.

From arrival, to stay, room and staff, you have to admire at how well this hotel is run. It seemed to be an older hotel but it was rustic and looked very well taken care of. The GM was excellent as how she greeted every guest with professionalism and shared humor with all.

Really surprised at Hampton. The only plus I can give is the location, within a block of the main street. As far as the room - linens were not clean on one bed, comforter and pillows smelled like a dirty locker room. There were about 5 various light fixtures in the room and in total probably produced 60 watts for the entire room. The hallway lighting from the elevator to room was various shades of lighting also, all dim. Breakfast was ok, coffee was warm at best. There was adequate seating i... Read more

recently spent two nights at this hotel and the one problem that was an irritant was the poor room lighting along the the almost non existant lighting in the lower level garage. i believe the poor lighting in the garage also presents a security issue and i would not have my wife use this garage area by herself

I am fairly particular about hotels. This one seemed to be an older property. It was not one of the nicest Hampton Inns I have ever visited. However, it was clean and the employees we encountered were very friendly. As others have mentioned, the location within walking distance was great. I would stay there again.

What a quaint, comfortable hotel keeping with the German town theme. Chalet appearance and close proximity to Main Street and shops are a plus but the chocolate chip cookies at front desk upon arrival, free continental breakfast, or healthy breakfast in a bag to go are the deal breaker!!! Loved our stay!!

We were in area for basketball game. Wanted to stay in Helen - felt like the parking underneath the hotel made getting into hotel was awkward. No ground floor entrance. Probably due to closeness to river and flooding. Hotel seemed older than some we have stayed in. But had all the same hilton amenities. Rooms clean. Just seemed dated a bit. Would stay again. Love the town.

Very run down, and outdated. The room smelled bad, ceiling was brown, carpet stained and ripped, mold in bathroom, brown around jets in tub, stains on bedding! We recently stayed at this hotel while vacationing in Helen, GA. The staff was so friendly and helpful. In particular, the maintenance man Ed helped my husband and me with our luggage. My husband has a bad back and Ed recognized that he was having a hard time with the luggage and jumped right in to help. Such a nice guy and a veteran just like my husband. Glad to see this hotel hires veterans.

The bathroom was definitely not cleaned. There was hair from other people in the tub and the mirrors had toothpaste spit on them. The check in took 40 minutes. I think the highlight of our stay was Katie, the lady that cleaned our room while we were out exploring the area. She took extra care to go above and beyond with displaying my daughters stuffed giraffe so it was sitting there happily greeting us when we walked through the door!
