The experience of check in and breakfast could not have been better. However, the hotel is dated and needs updating. Also, parking was a bit of a challenge and not well lit at night. There are better options for a similar price point in town.

The property is very nice and the location is great, especially when attending a graduation event for Brenau University. It is easy to find area shopping and is convenient to Atlanta - only an hour away.

Nice hotel. But I have never stayed in an Hampton that wasn't. Easy drive from Interstate. My only complaint was the price. The near by college was having a graduation so rooms were at a premium all around the area for miles. We were visiting friends in the area, so we had no choice. Staff was great, breakfast was super, and our room was huge. Only room left was for handicapped, so for those needing the space for a wheel chair, that is your room.

Located with superb access to downtown Gainesville. Auto access to facility a challenge. Typical Hampton Inn -- well maintained internally, staff courteous, rooms spacious, everything worked as expected (including A/C), beds very comfortable. Special comment for breakfast. Service personnel most accommodating -- all items were well maintained and choices very good. Consider this a step above the normal. There for class reunion, two nights -- would definitely stay again.

Robert, the front desk mgr could not have been nicer to us. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Easy in, easy out. We were there for a class reunion nearby and this location was very convenient to downtown Gainesville.

Stayed here one night for ACRAS rowing event at lake Lanier. This hotel is conveniently located to the lake and the town sqaure. We easily walked to dinner at the gastropub. The hotel is a typical Hampton and we had no problems or complaints.

While I usually am very fond of Hampton Inns, I would not recommend this one until they get the air conditioner fixed. My room did not cool properly and the first floor had to be close to 80 degrees inside during the breakfast time. I hope this was a temporary condition, but I would definitely ask about the air conditioner before making a reservation on a summer day in Georgia. Otherwise, staff was friendly and location was good for my stay in Gainesville.

Nice enough hotel. Very nice staff. Location was a bit tricky to get in/out of. In town for 80th Birthday celebration. Very helpful staff. Breakfast was a little better than average and again, very nice staff.

An older property and in need of updating. For the money a decent value. The bathroom vanity is of the old style meaning low and the carpet needs a cleaning. Again, a good value for the price. Front desk staff is friendly and appears to appreciate the business.

I have stayed in a few Hampton Inns recently, largely due to the complimentary breakfast and service that we have come to expect from Hilton properties. Room was clean and front desk staff was very friendly. He provided us great advice for dinner in the town center of Gainsville. We had chose this location to break up the drive from Atlanta-Gatlinburg.

This was a first visit and last minute trip to Gainesville, GA, so our reservations were made late in the week, but the experience was seamless. The hotel was very clean, the staff was wonderful and welcoming at both check in and check out. Our short stay couldn't have been better. I would most definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

We arrived extremely late & had made a reservation over the phone. There was a mix up & our reservation wasn't current. The women working was so accommodating & friendly. She didn't want us to wait long so she got us keys to the room & we went to sleep while she worked to rectify the paperwork problem.

This hotel does not inform you of what your additional taxes are. They show you the room rate in such a way you think that is the amount you are being billed. I was asked to initial the rate. When they billed my card they charged additional taxes and "incidentals". I was not informed that either of these items would be charged. I will not return to this hotel every again.

My stay at this Hampton is the worse I have ever experienced with any Hampton. I was afraid to step on the carpet. The room was uncomfortable because it smelled musty, I frequently stay at Hamptons across the country this one is not up to quality I have come to expect from Hamptions.

When I arrived on Monday, 8/8/16 - the receptionist was a little arrogant, saying my reservation for a king bed was not available, no apologies. I was offered a double bed, I had no choice. This gentleman needs to go to charm school. The housekeeping team is excellent. Room is always tidy and clean. The morning complimentary breakfast, the lady in charge is hard working, worthy of positive compliments; but the hard boiled eggs were frozen solid; I told her about it. The room the I was given, ... I stayed at the hotel in May, 2016. After a harrowing experience at another motel in Gainesville (being cursed out by the owner because I refused to stay in a dirty room), I arrived at the Hampton Inn very upset. Just spent 3 nights there and have zero complaints. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly and the whole building was quiet. The breakfast choices were not as plentiful as some Hamptons I've seen, but it was good and adequate for me. For someone expecting a large breakfast, an IHOP is right next door. This was my third stay here and I look forward to number four!

We stayed here while passing through to TN. It was a little smaller and more dated than the usual Hampton Inns we've visited. The most alarming thing was when the front desk told me to park on the side of the hotel with security cameras...wasn't quite sure what to make of that but it had me looking over my shoulder from that point on. Given the choice I would probably skip this hotel next time I'm in Gainesville, GA.

The hotel is a good option when staying in Gainesville. While dated, the room was very clean. The tv worked, ac cooled, and water pressure was good. There is a single entry/exit to the property, and I found left hand turns to be a challenge due to very heavy traffic on the four lane road. Overall, I was very happy with the accommodations during my two night stay.

Price point very Disheartening due to the quality of the rooms, location (city), and quality of restroom floors. Next, the restroom showerhead was not working and it did not have much water pressure. The temperature of the water was not at the level of hot that we would have expected.

Assigned an occupied room. Used card key to open room door to find a lady already in room. Startled her. Our final room was not cleaned well. Candy wrappers left on floor and bathroom floor was left dirty. We have stayed here for the last 3 years in October previously with no problems. Not sure if it's mgt difference or just a fluke bad night.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating! Due to scheduling of the wedding we were attending, we needed a late check out. Everyone was nice and greeted us each time we passed! The rooms, hallways and lobby were clean.

this was a very reasonably priced and clean facility for a short stay near Gainesville. GA. We had an uneventful check in late at night with a very helpful front desk employee. The rooms were nice and clean, and exactly what you'd expect at a Hampton Inn. Breast-fast buffet was the greatest, but that wouldn't deter me from staying here again.
