We have stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past 8 months, because they have a deal with a local facility we frequent for a deeply discounted rate. I've never been thrilled with the quality or cleanliness. Often there is toothpaste left on the mirror or bathroom counter. Once there was dirty hand prints on the wall in the shower. Once we lost power for several hours and cable for the duration of the stay. This past weekend was the final straw. When we entered the room, we found the bed... Read more

This hotel is disgusting!! We arrived to dirty towels in the bathroom, unclean sheets and the wrong bedding type of what we requested. We went back downstairs to turn in the keys as we decided NOT to stay and I have spent 6 mos trying to get them to return our money since we did not stay. They have refused - they have no moral values if they charge someone for a room we never stayed in! DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!

My husband and I went to Dawsonville for Thanksgiving 2016, this was our second time here at this hotel for Black Friday Shopping, we stayed two night at Dawson Village Inn, on the first night that's when the nightmares begun, first the toilet stopped up, I informed them(front desk at 4pm BEFORE WE WENT OUT FOR THE EVENING) when we returned from dinner and shopping around 9pm the toilet was still messed up, so I went back to the front desk and informed the man at the front desk, and on top of th... I was in Dawsonville again and was in need of a hotel room the only choices were this hotel or Super 8 or Quality Inn, I decieded this was the most decent option. Well I checked in the hotel hadn't changed that much in two years. I got my room it was on the second floor like last time but I know i was in a different room. I was actually satisfied with the hotel this time, the room I got was clean but still pretty basic, a little tired, but im not gonna complain about it, The room didn't smell th... Read more

Had to find a room for one night due to a business in the area. After reading other reviews, I was somewhat apprehensive about choosing this hotel. But the pricing was on target for me. Luckily, I was quite surprised that this turned out to be one of my better hotel experiences. The room was big, clean, and well-accommodated with microwave, refrigerator, REAL coffee maker, and sofa. I experienced no hassle when checking in or out. I have to return to the area in about a month and will definitely... Read more

We arrived at 2:15 pm on Saturday October 8th. After booking our room thru Trip Advisor, they could not find our reservation...and all of their computers were down! Final after 35 minutes of trying to copy our IDs and credit card...the clerk hands it all back and asked us to stop back by later in the evening. He hands us a key to room 101 and says please knock before entering...it should be cleaned and empty. COME AGAIN? SHOULD BE? So we knocked and enter...the room looked nice and we were happy... Our experience was drab to say the least, from the front desk clerk not giving me his name to confirm my reservation, when asked for it, he said "no". The room had two beds, one bed made up, one bed missing pillows and complete sheet set. We never got the set. (we went to Walmart and bought a pillow and blanket for our second night). The entire hotel could use a makeover. They must stay full because of lack of hotels in the area. I will not come back, I will drive the 30 min back towards Atl... Read more

It was one of the only hotels available due to the road construction crews and travelers in the area. I was doing research in Dawsonville, so needed a local hotel. The halls and room carpets weren't especially clean, but okay. The air conditioning in my room worked but was very, very noisy. After trying to sleep for about an hour, I finally called the desk. He couldn't get someone in to repair it that late. I begged him for another room and was told there was no availability, but I was eve... Read more

Wasn't the cleanest or the nicest but you know what you're getting into with the price and other reviews. The people working there were nice enough. It really wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Went last minute, during the apple festival, and this was one of the only hotels with availability

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights---it was "ok". In my opinion, the major problem is management. There should always be adequate food at the breakfast bar for the number of guests at the hotel---there was basically nothing, when we arrived between 830 and 900 AM. There should be an employee whose responsibility is the breakfast room-----not the front desk clerk who has to try to manage this job in addition to the front desk. We did not have adequate towels and the cleanliness of them was q... Read more
