Perfect hotel for the airport as it's one easy stop on the sky train! The staff were very helpful and the rooms were large and comfortable. It was very quiet and i got a great nights sleep. The only downside was that i didn't get my requested wake up call, but i was already awake due to the time difference so it was no big deal! All round, a great stay!

Spent one night here, accidentally booked this hotel thinking it was my conference site, I was wrong. Taxied 1.6 miles several times to another Marriott Airport Hotel to teach a class. (Yup, 2 Marriott Airport Hotels, less than 2 miles apart.) having said that, this hotel has a great lobby, very engaging, very upscale, great vibe. Concierge on 7th floor, great breakfast. Room 575 is a suite, wish I had hung out another day, very comfortable.

This was great for our business trip. Rooms were perfect. The bar and restaurant easily accommodated our huge party and another company as well. There were minor complaints but we all had a good time. The bed lights weren't working, they didn't give a good explaination of the Internet signing in, charges, etc, and no prices were given/posted of the valet parking. These issues were very very minor. The customer service was great.

Our first time in the hotel, staying with a park n fly deal. Great service on arrival from Ali with our bags and explaining parking, and the young man from Birmingham at the front desk. Concierge level room. The concierge lounge is fairly large and bright with nice seating. The evening buffet had salad, cheeses, fruit, a rice and bbq chicken meal and a very rich chocolate cake. It was more than Snacks - a meal. Breakfast had egg, bacon, oatmeal etc. being a platinum member had its advantages. ... Read more

I stayed here on business and was surprised at how convenient the location was. Take the Plane Train to terminal T, take the Skytrain <5 mins to this hotel. The only disappointment is that there are not a lot of food choices nearby besides Champions bar, which is kind of expensive.

Very convenient to Atlanta airport following our late arrival in to the USA, although access from the new International terminal was awkward having first taken a shuttle to the rental car centre to ride the train back to the hotel. There may have been an easier route but I could not find one. Back to our stay, check in was very easy the member of staff was extremely helpful and professional and we were heading to our room after just a few minutes. The room was spacious, very clean and the bed... Read more

I arrived after a long flight and checked in. There was easy access to the hotel via SkyTrain from the Atlanta Airport. The room looked fine. In the morning when the alarm went off I tried to switch the light on so I could turn off the alarm. The light was burned out. Not a big deal, but annoying. I went to shave and one of the lights which were located on either side of the mirror was burned out creating shadows and making it hard to see. When I left for my meetings I left a note with th... So I just missed my flight to Syracuse and I am sitting in the Delta lounge at B18 (which is amazing) trying to get a room for the night. Everything was sold out due to a Microsoft Conference ( Not fair to travelers that get stuck. I like my Mac). So when I called the Gateway a lovely lady said "come on over, we are right by the airport." It was 400.00 per night so I quickly called SPG and booked with miles and then easy to get to hotel. Very nice property and Kenny at front desk took care of me... Read more

Stayed here as part of a long weekend vacation. The hotel sits near both I-85 and I-75 so access to them is easy. It's near the airport but far enough and the facility is built well enough you are not bothered by aircraft noise. But the piece de resisatnce is the fact the hotel sits on a rail shuttle between the airport and the rental car location. It's about two minutes airport to hotel and a minute more to the car rental place. The facility is just six years old and shows its newness. Two... Read more

I stayed here when I had a predawn flight out of ATL the next morning. The valets and front desk staff were outstanding. My main regret was the cost. $553 for one night. As for the room, it was a typical king, but not any better than some $150 rooms I've stayed in. I got in about 10pm the night before so I ordered room service, club sandwich with fries. They did not bring any condiments and messed up how I wanted the club. The TV picture was terrible. Looked like satellite reception during a hur... Read more

One of the best welcome experiences I've had with a Marriott property. Even though my room wasn't ready and I had to wait a bit, all staff (Sandra/Alex at front desk and Angela at Concierge lounge) were incredibly accommodating and helpful. High bar to set for the next few nights.

When I found myself stranded one evening due to a Delta Airlines mechanical issue at 1 am I found a room at this hotel for the evening. What a delightful place. First it is on the sky train and there is no need to wait for a van or shuttle. Second it is clean and modern and the front desk staff couldn't be nicer. I was upgraded to an executive suite gratis and the room was well equipped. Bed was comfortable and linens top notch. The only area I would suggest for improvement was an upgrade to the... Read more

Let's just say that we were not planning on staying in a hotel at all, but due to a number of unfortunate circumstances, we found ourselves needing to get to the closest possible place to the airport where we could stay the night with an 11-month old. I've never stayed anywhere that the staff was so happy to provide service. Had an early morning flight, and found it necessary to stay at the airport. I'm not sure I could've made a better choice. Price was steep, but worth it to know I shouldn't have any issues getting to the airport on time. The sky train (I forget the actual name of it, but maybe that's right) that stops just next to the parking lot is excellent. I was using all public transportation, so a quick MARTA ride to the airport, and then walk to the sky train, and I was there. Not much in the way of f... Read more

For a Marriott I expect a five. But it gets a four due to bathroom was not as nice as we are used to receiving at a Marriott. That is the only reason it did not get a 5 star. However, it was nice that I could order a pizza have it delivered downstairs and eat at a nice table. They have a nice pizza right there . As always bed, linens, pillows top notch.

I will say that the Marriott is very easy to get to. You hop on the Sky Train from the airport and you are there. The lobby was very nice and the man checking us in was very nice. Our room wasn't ready but they stored our luggage for us, so we could attend a conference at the GICC. We ate at the restaurant, Champions, and thought the food and drinks were great but a bit overpriced. That is pretty typical of an airport hotel though. The rooms were okay. Nothing special. The hotel is very convenient, especially for early morning flights. You are only five minutes way from the terminal, and the train that runs between the hotel and the airport is fast and comes around every few minutes or so. Selected the hotel for its location (quick, free air-train ride to the Atlanta Airport), so I knew I was paying for convenience. The place is very clean, the staff are very nice, check-in was easy. Unfortunately the comfort of the bed was not up to what I consider Marriott standards, and after 765 miles of driving in just over a day, did not rest as well as I had hoped. This is why I gave it a "poor" sleep quality rating as it is not what I feel "average" for the Marriott chain. The wide scr... Read more

Small rooms, smaller bathrooms. Double beds in a category 6. Functional, but not well suited for couples or families. Fine as a solo business traveler who doesn't need luxury. The primary appeal of this hotel is the sky train. Wasn't offered bell or valet. Marriott reservations oversold hotel. Concierge lounge closed before we checked in and didn't open again until after we checked out.

Marriott Gateway's simple 5 minute access via the free rail connection on the way to rental cars makes it the easiest place to stay around ATL. The hotel architects soundproofed the rooms. The staff could not be any nicer nor more service oriented. The Concierge Level staff represents Marriott's best. Lots of meeting rooms for conferences large and small. I've stayed at this property at least four times now, and I've come to quite appreciate it. Most importantly, it's accessible by tram from the domestic terminal of ATL - get off at the first stop and the hotel is on your left. Second, the facilities are good - a decent gym, a nice pool, and plenty of meeting space (which is what this hotel is geared towards).
