"You get what you pay for. So this is a 2 star hotel and thats exactly what it is. When I walked into my room. There was an immediate stale odor. The room was dusty and had dirtry mirrors. I even went to Target up the road to get a scented candle, furniture polish wipes and lysol. I have to believe that when a hotel books you in a room. The room is either checked for cleanliness right BEFORE someone comes to stay or has just been cleaned. So my thought was no need to complain because ALL of their rooms would be just like this one.

When I came back from Target, I wiped down the room, lit my candle and sprayed it with Lysol. I took the top blanket/spread off of the bed which looked and smelled awful. Half of the light bulbs in the room were blown out and the remote to the tv didn't work.

Shame on me but I just assumed that in todays age all hotels had WIFI. So when I asked the girl if they did, she stated something was wrong with the service and she would turn the router on and off to get it back and running. Now I just read on the website they only offer WIFI in the front office area. Either she didn't know that or choose not tell me.

Also, when I went in to the lobby on the night I was to leave the printer was offline and not working. The attendent was on a obvious personal call and when I asked for her help, she explained while still on the phone that she didn't know anything about the printer, couldn't help me and proceeded to talk on the company phone on a blatantly personal call. When I got back to my room (for the first time after being gone for the day) my room key had been deactivated. So I went back to the office and waited behind a gentleman who was being helped. So it was obvious that I would/should be next. A guest came in and once the initial guest was done being helped as I was walking to the front of the counter. The guest from behind started to say what it was that he was needing. So instead of the attendant saying, 'this lady is next.' She proceeded to help him! So I said to the Man that I was next in line. They both looked at me as if I had lost my mind. So the lady turned to me, asked what I needed and continuted helping him at the same time!

My profession is Customer Service and what I was getting was not! Also, in the review of the hotel it states that it was renovated in 2010 you would have no idea. Don't, please don't get me wrong. The furniture for the most part was nice and pretty but it's the UPKEEP that isn't being done and is what will keep that hotel a 2 star.

If you asked me would I stay there again or recommend it to others. The answer would be no. The only thing truly it has going for it is location but there are too many hotels to count in the area to feel obligated to Super 8 Augusta Washington Rd. Don't waste your money."
