Thank you for the excellent service you gave to my family and me. After a long travel period, I needed some downtime to visit with family. The Doubletree staff took good care of us, providing extra blankets and a baby crib so my daughter could visit with the grand-children. And the room.........EXCELLENT! Thanks again for the great service!

My coworkers and I stayed at the Double tree hotel during our most recent trip to Augusta, GA. The hotel is nice and the staff were great. It was also convenient for our work. It had a nice bar area and outdoor seating. It's location however is not in an area that is safe for walking to other restaurants due to being adjacent to a busy highway.

The lobby is very nice. The hotel overall has a vintage 80's look. It could use some updating. The employees are professional and sweet. Avoid room 140, unless you like basements. It was my second hotel room in as many days. After check-in I dropped off my bags. Noticing a musty smell, I turned on the A/C for circulation and threw open the curtains for some light. Sadly my view was an internal hall. As a woman traveling alone that is CREEPY. I promptly shut the drapes, heading out to meet... Read more

So I stayed at this hotel during a business trip, and I was sadly disappointed by many things. First, there was no fridge in my room. Second, the room itself was outdated with very uncomfortable beds. Third, the bathroom was so small I could not even fit myself in there to close the door, even someone 90lbs soaking wet would have to wedge. A lot of the issues here had to do with the structural problems. The breakfast was amazing! The Starbucks place even gave us free coffee to go! As for the f... Read more

My family of 12 stayed at this hotel for my nephews wedding in nearby Evans, GA. Hotel was in a good and safe location. Be careful when venturing out and make sure where you are going as we accidentally ventured into a not so safe part of town looking for pizza. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi as well as a nice gym area. Bar in lobby was fun and cookies at check in were delicious.

We paid $135.00 for our room. When we checked in the room was small, the carpets were dirty, the room and entire hallway smelt of marijuana, the walls were dirty, the bathroom had mold growing on the ceiling, the wallpaper was peeling, the fixtures were rusty, there was no refrigerator, the air conditioner barely worked so the room stayed humid and uncomfortable. The hall ways/ elevator/ stairwells were dirty and looked as if they hadn't been swept, wiped down or vacuumed in months. I will never... Read more

We had a block of 20 rooms for a baseball tournament in N. Augusta. This hotel is very clean, the staff was very nice, nice bar, nice restuarant, nice pool (indoor and outdoor). Easy access to interstate and several places to eat close by if you don't want to eat at their restaurant. We had sandwiches for lunch and they were large portions and very good. We were given a discount for the block of rooms but their normal price is worth it too. Washers and dryers on every floor.

This Double Tree has changed my opinion of Hilton properties. From the strong mildew odor that met me at/on the VERY SLOW elevator, to the old, dirty, crumpled carpet in the halls on the Hilton Honors floor, to the mildew above the bathroom door in my room, to the shoddy workmanship on the wall in my room, I now must reconsider staying at Hilton properties sight unseen. This hotel (in my opinion) should be under renovation.

The staff was exceptional and upon arriving the hotel seems luxurious, however after you get past the glitz and glamour it was actually just a much more expensive version of a regular motel. The pools are tiny and the floor around the indoor pool holds water and we saw a child slip and fall. My husband had a piece of metal get stuck in his foot while in the hot tub. The rooms were not very clean either. Maybe it's just the area, not sure since this was the only place we've stayed in in Augusta, ... Read more

This was another brand hotel at one time and allegedly was completely remodeled when Hilton purchased it. However, they forgot that people expect a decent sized room for the Hilton price. They expect that they can have two in the bathroom at the same time. They expect that there will be no dents in the lamp shades (both sides I checked.) and they expect that the remainder of the hotel be kept to Hilton standards. We did not select this place as a result of survey or research. There was a wedding scheduled at this place with an offer of group discounted rate, which we took. The food for the wedding was poor, the air temperature in common areas as well as the reception hall was warm. The pool looked greenish and the levators had prints (hand marks) all over the metal surfaces which seemed that it had not been polished for weeks.

A little awkward to get in and out of the hotel (odd street patterns around location). However, it's priced right. It's only about 5-10 minutes from downtown or Fort Gordon. Headboard off wall. Laying in bed, shower rod not securely attached, electrical outlet plate in sitting broken off, flower pedals from previous guest on floor, ceiling coming down in ice/laundry area, first clue of potential problem was all of the beer caps around the main entry door.

Well we were definitely not planning on staying five nights.... but due to hurricane Mathew and then having no power to go home to... we made this our home for five nights! I can't say enough about how pleasant the ENTIRE staff is!! They were sold out every night we were there with evacuees and never once did one seem to be in a bad mood! After reading previous reviews, I was a little reluctant to book here... but glad we did! Yes, the hotel is pretty old, and yes, the ownership needs to put ... Read more

My review is for the DoubleTree Hotel in Augusta, Georgia. I travel for work and the DoubleTree is the hotel my company recommends I stay at. And after being on several trips now to Augusta I understand why. A comfortable bed, quiet location, 20 minute drive from the Augusta airport, Nice selection at their breakfast buffet (including fresh fruits), ample parking at the front of hotel (short walk to the front door), good bar with monitors setup for watching sporting matches, complementary WiFi (... Stay at the HGi in Augusta. It is new and clean. This hotel is showing its age and is in desperate need of an update - and the staff knows it. Mold around the bathtub and in the toilet bowl. Only feather pillows in the room (when foam was requested). Coffee shop did not open at advertised time. Management is definitely not living up to the expectations of the brand.

Typically my stay here is up to standards - this time not so much. Usually the rooms are very clean, pillows are plush and towels are fresh. Perhaps its because we were in a different area than we typically stay. It's was the only king room available, but had I known that it was not the same quality as the rooms we typically have then I would have opted for the double bed room instead. The customer service is always delightful. I did not bring my displease to the attention of the staff memb... Read more

While the staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was at best, average. The rooms are dark, old, and not very clean. The bathroom floor was a little sticky and the jacuzzi tub in the One Bedroom King Suite was cracked and not very appealing. One of the lamps in the bedroom was broken and tilted and made the entire room unappealing. The breakfast buffet was unattractive but our waitress offered to have our eggs freshly prepared because she acknowledged the eggs on the buffet looked "pr... Read more

I checked in and issues started immediately. The front desk clerk misspelled my name and gave me someone else's room. I figured it out and went back to the desk. He fixed it and I went to my new room. My room key didn't work. I returned and checked into my new room. It smells like an ash tray. Granted the ash tray is several years old but it's still an ash tray. I'm ready to lay down and crash and guess what? The old tv and system have no sleep timer. Sorry. First and last time here. Bummer.

Great front desk, tasty cookies, and the digital check-in is pretty darn handy. The rooms could use some updating, but were still comfortable. They could do with hiring another bartender - she could use the help! That said, she was a one-woman assault team and handled herself very well. The food was sub-par bar food, but that isn't her fault.

Having to get in elevator and travel to 6th floor for microwave is ridiculous given price of rooms. Also no fridge I room either. Hotel needs a dress code for staff. Tank top at front desk- really????

Comfortable bed, excellent service, close to shopping and restaurants. Was there for a conference and the conference room, food, and service were great. The lobby is really pretty, and the staff were very attentive.

I stayed here with my family reunion and it was fantastic! The check in staff was amazing always saying hello and goodbye good with directions and very apologetic because at the time they were switching locks to digital key so we had two separate keys. Parking was good and room was quiet! Only two rooms of improvements I forget what room I was in but there was a wall socket on the ceiling which was so weird and the gym was super small but I think those are 2 things that will be fix in the renova... This hotel had the best breakfast buffet I have seen this year. The front desk staff are very helpful, and the airport shuttle is a nice extra. Lots of free parking. The rooms are a bit dated but adequate. Housekeeping could be improved a bit, I found last occupant's socks in a dresser drawer.

Found hotel presentable at 1st glance but elevators and room was in very poor condition. The furniture in the suite was in extremely poor condition (worn) with the exception of the bed. There was hair in the bath tub and in the morning was greeted by a giant cockroach on the wall which totally disgusted me, so much so that I took pictures

This is an upscale hotel, comfortable, spacious, and clean. The large tub and two TV''s are great. The robes are my favorite part of the stay. The staff is efficient & pleasant, and the cookies are delicious, it's conveniently located and secure.

Super friendly staff! The restaurant was amazing with the Friday night seafood and prime rib buffet. Having Starbucks coffee available in the morning was a huge plus! The room was spotless. I would definitely recommend this hotel for staying in the area!

Rooms were pretty clean . The room I had was too dark because of not having a window to the outside. Ordered in room breakfast (put my order on the door for pick up ) no one came by to get so I did not have breakfast before an important business meeting. By the time I realized they never got it , it was too late

Breakfast service too slow and waited over 25 minutes for a hamburger for dinner. Very slow and possibly due to the holiday the hotel was not full therefore food service should have been more efficient.
