Beautiful, modern room with a very comfy bed. It was nice how big the washroom was. There were no curtains though, so unless you're alone or sharing the room with your significant other, it could be a problem. Very close to World of Coca-Cola. I'm not a big fan of coke, but that was fun.

Average W hotel not so wow compare to W Montreal or Seoul korea. I like bliss product offered in room. It s close to aquarium, coca cola world and human rights museum. I was very impress by the room . Mine had no view . The other W downtown is very similar .

Overall my experience with the W hotel was poor.  The room was nice, modern, and clean and the location is good but the rest of the stay was lacking.  When we checked in at 10pm we asked if the pool was open and were told it was closed. The next day we were told it was open 24 hours.  We called the front desk our first morning and asked about a coffee maker. We we're told that the hotel did not provide coffee makers and our only option for coffee was with room service at $9 a cup. Later we we... Read more

As a frequent guest of this hotel I have an understanding of some of the W products. But I was unaware of the official W Hotel Insider - Anette until a few weeks ago. She had an amazing sense of the local scene in Atlanta. And was able to book us a brunch at a new up and coming restaurant on Mother's Day. She also helped us with a large scale event that we had at the hotel. Taking care of so many things while I was able to manage our event was supurb. And keeping in touch with me via text msg w... My stay at the W downtown was great. Check in was a breeze and my accommodations was modern and clean. The lighting in the room was very dim however I suspect this was done on purpose for ambiance. There was a pool party on the roof Friday evening with a dj and live music which was a nice touch. Saturday night, there was a private party and some other function taking place in the bar area. There was actually a "rope" and a bouncer type person letting people into these areas. This created a VIP t... Read more

I've stayed at this hotel on and off over a period of 7 months, and while there's some really good aspects to it, there's also some small drawbacks to a full 5 star review, I'd give it closer to a 4.5 First off, it's the newest w hotel in Atlanta, and the rooms are nice and updated (although I think the TVs are a bit small, and no bluetooth on the radio). The views are decent, especially if you're lucky enough to get upgraded to a corner room (which for me, as a multiple 100+ night a year plati... Read more

The staff was ok, bu the overall service was terrible. I was on the 12th floor and could hear the loud music (and corridors) all night long, every day. The TV did not work properly, the wifi reception in the Room was non existent. I would find some things missing from time to time. The shower did not work properly. The electric sockets did NOT work at all, any of them.

Although this is a typical W hotel & I have stayed here multiple times before -- This is a warning to anyone that wants to get some rest --- The 4th floor rooms are excessively noisy due to being located over the living room bar. -- Amplified live Music from 8pm-11pm can not be drowned out by the overly loud air conditioner or TV no matter how high you turn up the volume -- From 11pm to 1 am recorded music continues making sleeping impossible.

Stayed at this hotel while in town for a conference. I wanted something centrally located to where I could go out and enjoy the city. It was in a nice and safe location. The room was just as pictured on the hotel's website and very clean. I wouldn't recommend for a family stay just because the shower is visible from anywhere in the room so no privacy there but if you are solo or with a significant other, definitely worth the stay! The hotel is boutique and meant to be modern and hip. My main concern is that it needs updating because the walls and furniture were dirty and old. There were stains, as if housekeeping hadn't cleaned well. I also had problems with the TV. Maintenance said that is the way it was and couldn't be fixed. Not one to sit around and complain without trying to do something about it, I did contact the hotel during my stay and afterward. Oh and yes, the bathroom is clear and in the middle of the room. Like other Ws the rooms at the W Atlanta Downtown are very comfortable and well equipped. I particularly liked the gym facilities which are large and offer great views of the city. The problem with this property are the limited food options available, particularly if you want to have breakfast. There is either room service or a steakhouse where service takes forever. Having spent 5 night here, I really missed a more varied offer.

We came here because it looked like a very different, fun option and we wanted a unique place to stay. This hotel did that. We had a top level floor that overlooked the city. It was a very modern room that was comfortable and spacious and romantic. We really liked it. On the down side of the room, it was a bit on the dusty side, but as a professional housecleaner, cleaning these rooms would be a nightmare with all the glass/ shiny metal etc. So, I was very sympathetic to the housekeeping. ... Posting this as a warning to dog owners. I cancelled my reservation before I arrived as the result of rude customer service. The hotel says that it accepts pets. My stay at the W Hotel can be summarized with one word "disappointing." Don't be fooled by the modern, flashy appearance of the hotel when you first walk in - that's where the glitz and glam really end. I booked and prepaid for this hotel prior to arriving.
