Beautiful, modern room with a very comfy bed. It was nice how big the washroom was. There were no curtains though, so unless you're alone or sharing the room with your significant other, it could be a problem. Very close to World of Coca-Cola. I'm not a big fan of coke, but that was fun.

Overall my experience with the W hotel was poor.  The room was nice, modern, and clean and the location is good but the rest of the stay was lacking.  When we checked in at 10pm we asked if the pool was open and were told it was closed. The next day we were told it was open 24 hours.  We called the front desk our first morning and asked about a coffee maker. As a frequent guest of this hotel I have an understanding of some of the W products. But I was unaware of the official W Hotel Insider - Anette until a few weeks ago. My stay at the W downtown was great. Check in was a breeze and my accommodations was modern and clean. The lighting in the room was very dim however I suspect this was done on purpose for ambiance. The staff was ok, bu the overall service was terrible. I was on the 12th floor and could hear the loud music (and corridors) all night long, every day. The TV did not work properly, the wifi reception in the Room was non existent. I would find some things missing from time to time. The shower did not work properly. The electric sockets did NOT work at all, any of them.

Although this is a typical W hotel & I have stayed here multiple times before -- This is a warning to anyone that wants to get some rest --- The 4th floor rooms are excessively noisy due to being located over the living room bar. -- Amplified live Music from 8pm-11pm can not be drowned out by the overly loud air conditioner or TV no matter how high you turn up the volume -- From 11pm to 1 am recorded music continues making sleeping impossible.

Stayed at this hotel while in town for a conference. I wanted something centrally located to where I could go out and enjoy the city. It was in a nice and safe location. The room was just as pictured on the hotel's website and very clean. The hotel is boutique and meant to be modern and hip. My main concern is that it needs updating because the walls and furniture were dirty and old. There were stains, as if housekeeping hadn't cleaned well. I also had problems with the TV. Maintenance said that is the way it was and couldn't be fixed. Like other Ws the rooms at the W Atlanta Downtown are very comfortable and well equipped. I particularly liked the gym facilities which are large and offer great views of the city. The problem with this property are the limited food options available, particularly if you want to have breakfast. There is either room service or a steakhouse where service takes forever. Having spent 5 night here, I really missed a more varied offer.

We came here because it looked like a very different, fun option and we wanted a unique place to stay. This hotel did that. We had a top level floor that overlooked the city. It was a very modern room that was comfortable and spacious and romantic. We really liked it. I stayed here for a work function back in June. The hotel was great! The beds were comfortable and the rooms were immaculately clean. The staff was super helpful. Me and my family just recently stayed at w Atlanta downtown everything was truly nice and close to the places that the family was trying to visit for example of the Atlanta aquarium and the Coca-Cola museum very clean great staff the only thing that I really would complain about is the parking was very limited you had to pay $32 a day to park and were nowhere available close by that was safe for your vehicle but other than that I truly enjoyed my stay

Posting this as a warning to dog owners. I cancelled my reservation before I arrived as the result of rude customer service. The hotel says that it accepts pets. I had booked a room and had included information that we were bringing our dog. I did not hear anything so I called and was told that they charge $100 plus $25 a night. Room really cool & trendy. Need to stay on higher floors though -the traffic noise from the lower floors is a bit much. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything else was so good! We saw the pictures and decided to pay an extra 100 dollars (total 300 for 1 night) for this trendy hotel, so that we after a long drive from Florida could relax at the pool and watch the sunset over the city. Due to the kindness of Alan Rae Director of Operations. We were able to go up onto the helicopter pad and see the whole of Atlanta. Breath taking, amazing and stunning views. The Hotel is very trendy like other W. The standard room is big and very well designed. I would have expected a coffee machine or at least a kettle. But nothing. The bed was very comfy. Booked this hotel for its convenient location. However wouldn't consider it a business hotel- unless you're in the business of partying! Music thumping, guests in swimwear and drinks in hand during the day and the. running around corridors at all hours of the night. It was quite hot while I was there so perhaps this isn't usual. Rooms are comfortable but decor very dark. Good shower, OK bathroom and comfortable bed.

I loved the stay in the W hotel in Atlanta. The room was really nice. Great bed, nice bathroom. It had anything we needed. The pool was nice, but there could have been more space for sun bathing. The bar was really nice. Breakfast was ok, however it took way too long before it was served and was extremely expensive.

This hotel is quite nice and my room was posh. The bathroom was large and clean, the bed was comfortable. My only disappointment came when I discovered the bar/lounge area near the pool was not open on the weekday/evening I was there. That being said, the pool was clean and nice and had as awesome view.

I have stayed at this W on multiple occasions. I love the modern, contemporary rooms, but the customer service is consistently poor. The poor customer service really shows after I stayed at the Ritz Carlton the week before. This is a very modern hotel. I couldn't figure out how to turn a lamp off, so I just ended up unplugging it. The shower was big and open (no door), which made me cold. I love the complimentary bath products! The bed was okay. I wish there was a blanket on the bed since it was cold in my room with no way to control the temperature that I could find. This hotel is like a runway fashion show - beautiful to look at but completely impractical. Stayed here for 3 nights and I was impressed. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. Check in was a breeze and the staff was very helpful. I booked a corner room and the view was great with the floor to ceiling windows! The room was clean and trendy. The W is conveniently close to attractions which is a plus. Hard to believe that in this day and age WiFi is slow and not available for free! Free WiFi in the lobby/bar but $10 a day for sub optimal connections in the rooms. The place is decorated to look hip and fancy but it came off as the newest iteration of seventies swinger. The place was dirty. My room had cobwebs in every corner, dirt along all the baseboards, crumbs on the floor, grout crumbling in the shower... it was just generally gross. Wasn't totally impressed by this place, I travel to Atlanta 2-3 times per year and have stayed in many different places. The room was updated but the bathroom was not super clean (I tend to judge a hotel room by whether I would put my baby in the tub). Beds were adequate and the room was quiet, price was in line with a downtown Atlanta hotel. I did not eat any food there so I can't talk about that. The W in Downtown Atlanta is beautifully decorated with a cross between uptown chic, and the comfort you expect when traveling from a W. I stayed for one night to attend an NFL game at the Georgia Dome with colleagues. Upon early arrival, I was greeted promptly and able to check in to my room. The host recognized my SPG/Marriott status, which I had just merged accounts on the day before. I was using a Delta Platinum AMEX and he suggested I link that account as well to get more points per stay, something I did not know about. We stayed at the W downtown last weekend for my husband's birthday getaway. I got him Packers vs. Falcons tickets and the W was a mile from the Georgia Dome, and I could use points for one of the two nights we'd be there. Seemed like a win-win. The W is always really nice with a "noir" decor and several extras like flavored water and coffee, but the really great thing is the customer service from the desk clerks to the driver of the car, to the cleaning staff to EVERYONE. They are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. Probably great training! A little off the beaten path but walkable. Good choice in downtown Atlanta.

I stayed there my birthday and it was the worst place I ever stayed. Very dark rooms. Beds are suppose to be king and they are queen. No bathroom doors. No shower doors. The TV was very outdated for the price of the room.

The hotel was well put together image wise but the quality was not great. The online pictures made it seem like it was nicer than it actually was. I was disappointed with the quality of the bath room and paint job. Runny paint and old tubs and broken sink. It was a birthday gift for my boyfriend and he seemed to be okay with it and he's picky, and it noticed the bad quality as well.

Having stayed previously in the W in Buckhead, which was a very good experience, I was looking forward to this visit. Unfortunately, my experience reflected the fact that the same chain (W) does not mean an equivalent experience. Celebrating my 50th birthday was a wonderful experience at the W. The Perfect Occasions Package included a 30 minute helicopter tour of Atlanta, dinner at BLT, upgrade to a suite and a late check-out. Angela was so helpful in booking our stay and while there we really enjoyed Alonzo! Stayed here for one night while passing through. My first time staying at a W brand. It's very upscale with great attention to detail. I did not have a reservation but was able to get a room with no problem. I checked in at night and the lobby is very dark as well as the room, not a big deal just putting it out there. My brother and I stayed a week here, interesting room design, the staff was great to us, recommending restaurants, giving us rides to dinner and attractions and help us when we needed help. The "living room" bar took excellent care of us each night after our days on the town, they were the best!

First off, I agree that Alonzo sets the tone for this place. As a driver-in-residence, he kindly and efficiently gets you from point A to point B??within a 2-mile radius??and always has recommendations and stories to keep the ride upbeat and fun. Ok first off. Annette Izquiero is a rock star. She recommended a killer rock show at the Tabernacle..My date & i had an excellent time. She also suggested an amazing place for an after show drink called Little Trouble. The place is rightly named & has a wonderful Tequila selection which in turn got us in a Little Trouble. Anyway highly recommend this property & Annette...Will be back soon

I am an SPG Gold that has stayed across a number of properties across the world and in the all over the US through the years. Each one has its unique hiccups from small to large and if I wanted to be picky. However, this is the only property I would say that I would come back to and stay for a pleasure trip. I prefer modern contemporary luxury over traditional luxury. It's just me. If that's you too. You'll love this place. The infinity pool is the best place to be on a hot day. Make sure you go for a swim or just to lounge and relax. The staff by the pool area is fun, friendly and professional.
