My unpleasant experience I had, on May 27 through May 30th 2016 at your DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Atlanta Downtown location during Memorial Day Weekend.   I checked in on May 27, 2016, the air conditioner in my room was dirty and loud. When I called the front desk to complain about the ac working they were not very friendly and helpful. The employees work attire was unsatisfactory . The front desk is the first people you see when you arrive. These employees looked like they rolled out of be... Read more

Very disappointed in the hotel. It's old, paint peeling, small rooms, very very short staffed, very noisy and the description of the hotel online is misleading. Way too high priced for the accommodations. Not a good way to start the trip. Had to come back in the morning to get my aquarium tickets that were part of the package!!! Not very customer service friendly.

The room was overall clean. I did not like how rusted the bathroom light fixture was due to no exhaust fan. The sink was clogged and quickly filled up with water and was very slow to drain. There were only 2 bath towels provided at first so we had to get more towels. There was no fridge in the room so I wasn't able to keep my leftovers from a really awesome restaurant in the city. I've stayed at DoubleTrees in other cities before and breakfast came complimentary with the room, but not at this lo... Read more

I was really looking forward to this stay. It was May 27th. I had pre-paid for a one night's stay and had added amenities such as two extra pillows, and a movie night deal. The movie deal was a coupon for a movie, popcorn, drinks, and candy. We estimated our arrival between 7-8 that night. Upon arrival, I had to wait several minutes for check-in even though I had already chosen my room. When I asked the front desk about our amenities, he stated he didn't know about them, but to check our room. W... Read more

Perfect location to CNN, Coke, Aquarium, GA Dome, Philips Arena, College Football HOF, etc but room needs work. A pretty big, tacky, patched hole in the bathroom door, bathroom fan doesn't work, bathroom door doesn't lock, and the AC was NON FUNCTIONING. It blows out air but not cold air. If I could find a place in the same price range, very close to the same location, I would stay there instead. Hard to beat the location though if your coming to town to be a tourist! I stayed here when in Atlanta to see the Braves play. This hotel is close to the Peachtree Center Marta station. My room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was a little small, but clean and had a good shower. They charge for parking, but I had arrived in town by Delta so that did not affect me. The check in process was quick and easy. I even received a warm and gooey cookie (yum). The only negative thing, which the hotel can't really control is the noisy people in the hall at 2:30... Read more

Once this hotel comes out of it's renovation it will be great! Perfect location, very friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to ATL. Hotel was in a great spot to go downtown. Parking is too expensive, and wait staff is rude. The rooms were pretty good, but need to be checked for maintenance. The hotel was easy to get to from the airport, due to MARTA. The location is centrally located downtown allowing for exploration and accessibility to restaurants, shops, and entertainment. We traveled to Atlanta for the Peachtree 10K. after the race we made our way to the MARTA and the lines heading downtown were a lot shorter than the lines heading back to Lenox Square.

I stayed for four nights and at first, I felt the hotel was just fine. The more time I spend here, the worse it seems. None of the plumbing in the bathroom works properly. The toilet doesn't flush unless you hold the handle down, the sink and tub drain so slowly, and when I shower it leaks on all over the floor. Some remodeling going on, so at some point this hotel should be nicer and cleaner. The room I stayed in was old and when they are old, they never seem very clean. Two out of the four nights that I stayed the ac wasn't working properly. After the electrician was checked it 3xs it finally cooled enough, but I never could get the temp down past 68. The staff that I dealt with were friendly and helpful.

We arrived at the Doubletree on Set 18 2016, As we drove up to the hotel we thought this might not be a good experience as the front of the hotel was under construction and getting into the valet parking area was very difficult. Had a great stay at the DoubleTree in Atlanta ! We went for a football game Thursday and enjoyed every part of the stay ! Demetrius at check in was so friendly and remembered us every time we came to the desk. He was so helpful. The room was clean and the view was gorgeous. Breakfast was perfect and even though we showed up right before they were about to close they weren't rushing at all and so welcoming. We can't wait to return to the DoubleTree ! Thank you again

Great customer service. Parking fees are $32 per night. Rooms are not worth the rate. There are better hotels in the area with lower rates. Additional fees are added but not enclosed when booking the rooms. The hotel is being renovated so therefore over have the rooms are closed off the prices are jacked up. Guess they have to make the money up somewhere.

I am writing this review after leaving this hotel.... First off the hotel has horrible parking which is $32 for overnight. The fact that they call it "valet" is hilarious which is basically a small drive thru... The hotel did not have our "prepaid" reservation reserved correctly... Once we got checked into the room which was "dusty" I noticed all the imperfections of the hotel.. There was chipped paint, patched drywall and uneven floors. But what completely outraged me is that we were told to le... Read more

I've stayed in a lot of DoubleTrees in my life and I mostly book rooms there because they're pretty reliable and similar across the board, but this one was surprisingly awful. It lacked a lot of the amenities and small touches I've come to expect from the brand and my room, at least, lacked any sort of soundproofing such that I could seemingly hear everyone on the entire floor all day long and all night. Plus there was a lot of construction going on, which I guess will ultimately fix some of the... Read more

My family and I stayed here for a night to see the sites in the Centennial Olympic Park area. While the hotel is well located, we were overall disappointed with our stay. We selected this hotel because it was downtown and we were recreating our honeymoon of 50 years ago. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation, but we encountered no issues with that. It is convenient to Centennial Olympic Park, CNN Center, Peachtree Street, World of Coke and the Georgia Aquarium. The only issue is the awkwardness of valet parking, which is the only parking offered. There is no way to contact valet from your room, and the driveway area is extremely cramped.

Aside from the price of the valet, this was a great value and the best part was the large balcony - even though I nearly broke my neck a few times forgetting to step down. Was slightly dissapointed with the lack of full length mirrors in the place.
