Its a nice place, walking distance from the tube/metro. The service was great, the rooms were nice, the breakfast was unexpectedly good. Our first room was near the ice machine and vending machine - not a good place to be, very noisy and they filled up the vending machine at 4am one morning which was crazy...also close to the street which was noisy too and because the hotel is undergoing renovations there is no time for sleeping in with workers on site pretty early. (thats not a long term issue ... Read more

This used to be, I think, a Best Western. It is being rebranded in the Choice Hotels family and feels like a future Comfort Inn. That means that internet and breakfast are free as is parking in a tiny on site garage. Rooms are small but clean. The entire property is being renovated right now so it is a bit shabby but probably will be quite nice in the near future. You can walk from there to anywhere in downtown Atlanta in 15 minutes or less. Staff was friendly and the place is in a safe ne... Read more

We stayed here over New Years. We picked the location because it was within walking distance to the Georgia Dome, and is convenient to a number of other downtown locations (the Aquarium, etc.) The hotel has an extremely nondescript appearance from the outside, so I wasn't sure what to expect. As others have noted, they are currently renovating- but its unclear if those renovations are just "cosmetic" or more substantive. For example, although the hotel rooms seem fine (that renovation is don... Read more

This hotel is average and we booked it last minute for an overnight stay in downtown Atlanta for the New Year (not worth the money we paid). Our room was very small but okay for a quick night. If you're tall like my husband (6'3") you may feel claustrophobic in the double bed room. The hotel is very close to everything downtown. You can walk to eateries as well. Self parking is $15 but if you're not in the first parking garage, the other one is a little walk down the street (not far). There... Read more

The friendly staff made our stay wonderful. There are still some renovations going on but no problems with that for us. Our room was newly renovated and very clean. No perfume smells, clean air. Huge king bed with clean, white coverings, great sheets and pillows. The room was clean! No perfumed smell, the room was clean. The staff day and night were very friendly and helpful. Everyone that worked around the hotel seemed to take pride and enjoy their jobs. They made us feel welcome f... Read more

Going thru renovation, so be prepared for lots of disruptions. Nice location if you want to be downtown. But be warned...there is a daily charge for parking, even though the Choice Hotel website makes no mention of a charge for parking. Also, just know if you have any issues during your stay...management & ownership doesn't care about its guests...just their pocketbook. During my stay, I encountered a situation, and was told my management, neither they nor the owners wanted to resolve it. I was... Read more

The location is very good, but the quality is not comparable to the other hotels downtown such as the Hyatt or Marriott. It was supposed to be a Best Western hotel chain, but it was sold, and is to become a Choice hotel chain instead. Overall, good value for the money.

We made the reservation when this was still a Best Western property, but was impressed that it met the BW standard with no problem, even in the midst of major renovations. The room we stayed in (145) had recently been renovated and was fantastic! From the firm mattress to the new shower, it was a pleasure to stay in, even with new carpet being laid right outside. The breakfast was one of the best offerings we've ever had in a hotel, anywhere. The menu was complete, the food was hot, and it w... Read more

I'm used to staying at inexpensive, basic hotels, but I've never gone to one where the water wasn't on when I arrived. The water had been turned off to do a repair and still wasn't working when I came back several hours later. The showers needed reglazing and the rooms weren't the cleanest - if you look in the corners - but the good news is that they are remodeling. They had already replaced all mattresses and I believe are planning to remodel the bathrooms. The staff were very nice and the brea... Read more

The staff were all so sweet that you just wanted to take them back home with you! Very friendly and helpful. The location is great - close to restaurants, the Aquarium, World of Coke, the convention center. All within walking distance. If you are visiting the zoo, they will call a checkered cab and the fare to/from is FREE. The buffet breakfast is very nice. Bagels, bread for toasting, waffles, scrambled eggs, grits, sausage, breakfast potatoes, cereals, yogurt, fruit, coffee/tea/juices. They ... Read more
