I visited Atlanta a few times. When I don't have a car, I typically stay in downtown area. This time I have a car with me, to avoid the paying parking, I chose Residence Inn Buckhead. It is conveniently located 15 minutes away from downtown. The suite has fully equipped kitchen. The parking is free and the room is clean and spacious. Free full breakfast was very good. Most important, the rate is much lower than down town. I will definitely going back if I drive to Atlanta.

I made several calls to this hotel prior to my arrival. I had been told that my credit card had already been charged so I couldn't cancel reservations. I made the trip and the customer service was horrible. The stairs were very noisy when anyone would walk up in the loft. I have not been so displeased with a hotel ever before. There was a smell as we walked in the door. It was definitely not a good start to my weekend.

Good points * Excellent rooms and in-suite facilities including full kitchenette * Complementary local shuttle service to take you around 3 mile radius Need to improve: * Staff needs to add more smile to their service and connect better to their clients * The breakfast area is always crowded with depleting food items and overflowing garbage bins. This requires immediate attention and I felt the staff was not attentive * Their wi-fi coverage needs big boost as I struggled to connect every time ... Read more

This hotel is very conveniently located about 5 miles to Emory University (which is about as close as you can get). The hotel is quiet and the free hot breakfast is nice. Although it is supposedly a non-smoking property, our room smelled of smoke. The staff brought in an "ozonator" machine which helped a bit. We had an upstairs room (221) and it was just fine for us. Parking is free and right near the room. The bed, towels, and sheets were very nice quality. We slept very well!

I am a Residence Inn devotee. My room had no hot water the first night. When I realized this and called the front desk at 9:30 p.m, the response was well-informed (a block of rooms was having problems and a plumber was coming tomorrow) and effective (I was offered a switch/upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite. I declined and just used an empty room for a shower. I was also awarded bonus points for the inconvenience. Over my 4 day stay, every employee I encountered was friendly, effective and genuinely n... The Hotel had multiple problems. We stayed for about 2 weeks. the rooms are spacious and comfortable but the service is very poor.Water supply was disconnected for the whole hotel TWICE during our stay at 9 AM in the morning, which is not at all convenient. Their breakfast was complimentary but was the same substandard meal every day with not much variety. Also the staff would start clearing up the breakfast buffet 5-10 minutes before the close time so many times we were not able to take a refil... Read more

Checked into the hotel past the regular check-in time. However, the CSR had to go to the room to make sure if the room was ready (not a big deal). She was extremely courteous, and helpful. Infant she asked us to help ourselves to the canteen for having to wait while she checked on our room. Large stain in carpet as soon as we entered our room. Looked like it had been there for a while. Note to management: you are not running a "run of the mill" hotel. First impression is everything. No hot water... Read more

First, the positive: nice, modern recreational facilities and, no matter the condition of the rest of the room, Residence Inn always has pristine and comfortable beds. The staff was professional and helpful. Downsides: Although the common areas are nice, the rooms are pretty dated. The dressers are old and scuffed. One of the toilets in our 2-bedroom had some sort of large black stain in the bowl. Very unattractive. Some of the bathroom fixtures were rusty. Also, the cleaning was not as thoroug... Read more

I found a cock roach in the room and took it to the front desk in a tissue to show the manager ( I would want to know if I were a manager). No manager was on duty and the desk clerk did not seem concerned/did not want to see it. I asked her to have the manager contact me so I could make sure he was aware. That was June 25th. It is now July 6th and I have not heard anything from the hotel manager. In addition, I contacted Marriott directly to advise and they did not seem concerned either. I d... Read more

They failed to hold the room we reserved Saturday night. We had to spend the night in a small smelly dirty room with broken rusted pull out sofa (bldg 11 - #1113). Next morning they moved us to the king suite we reserved. Room was not properly cleaned (#723). There was a dirty toilet, dirt, food, candy wrappers, stuff toy on the floor, and trash in nightstand and dresser drawers, presumably left over from previous guests. We had only 2 pillows and 3 towels for a family of four. I called fro... Read more

Residence Inn is consistently good. Comfortable, clean facility, nice pool, friendly staff. There is not an excess of parking, but it is free. Breakfast starts at 7:30. Workout room is small but all equipment works.

This location was perfect! This was the first time my other family members went on a trip with my husband and I. I was nervous about staying here, but it did not disappoint. The rooms are spacious and the layout was comfortable. A definite must stay.

The rooms were dated yet reasonably comfortable. We did not feel safe when arriving late in the evening. The friendly and accommodating staff made the visit better. After one night we moved to another Residence Inn due to being uncomfortable with the entire environment.

We stayed at this hotel for when we came down to have fun in Atlanta. I reserved a suit over the phone and informed them that one of the guest was in a wheelchair. We arrived and come to find out all suits are on the upper levels and they didn't have no elevators. So we stayed one night in the suit and spoke with the manager the next morning. The manager apologies and got us two rooms on the lower level. They moved all the belongings to the rooms down stairs and our stay was pleasant. Coming bac... Read more

The hotel was average to say the least. The hotel was close to downtown Buckhead and of course close to the buckhead shopping of Lenox square or Phipps plaza as well as the local five star dinning. The hotel was on the outskirts of the nice part of buckhead and was kind of right in the middle of nice buckhead and the slums of buckhead. I would not suggest walking outside at night here. However, the staff was attentive and the rooms were average. We ended up getting a loft penthouse suite. It was... Read more

Comfortable accomodation as expected in a residence inn. Would be nice if house keeping didn't start at 8am. Its important to note that some guests are on vacation and would like to sleep in. otherwise hotel is in a good location which is easily accessible.

We stayed overnight while visiting a family member in the hospital. In all, it was a good stay. Pros: Friendly attentive staff; breakfast was tasty with a good variety of options; convenient location Cons: We stayed in "Building 1" and were awakened by the traffic noise from Piedmont Road several times throughout the night; room was a little dated with a good bit of dust buildup on the AC vents; mattress on the sleeper sofa could stand to be replaced In all we received good value for our sta... I stayed this week for one night. It is located within a few miles of many activities but is secluded. You cannot walk anywhere except a gas station perhaps. There are some fast food places nearby but nothing good within walking distance. If you are arriving late get something to eat before you arrive. Pros. Decent room, upgraded kitchen and pots and pans. Excellent cooling of the room. Good size junior suite. Comfortable bed and nice changing area with two closets. Cheap hangers. Kitchen with... Checked in after dinner. Walked endlessly looking for room. Not enough help and front desk slammed. When you come back to ask for help and there are still 7-8 people standing in line to check in all looking angry with the wait, you know how long it will be until you can ask "where is my room again?" I don't know what was going on in this city that the room was $401 per nite but you can afford help at that level. The room by the way was a very trendy loft. I've stayed in Marriott beds from downto... Read more

Appears to be an older Marriott property that has had some updates to the rooms but some more is needed. The price was reasonable for something in the city. The bed was clean and comfortable. Two story structure with no elevator. Wasn't an issue for me but obviously could be for some. Lobby staff was good and room was maintained well each day.

The Residence Inn Buckhead, Atlanta was a great place to stay while extending a visit with family. Location was great to enjoy shopping nearby and a visit to Six Flags! Room was clean, quiet, and spacious! The kids were excited to have their own sleeping space! Thanks to Brittany at the front desk for helping us and making things so accommodating when we checked in!!!
