The Residence Inn is truly a place to stay in downtown Atlanta -- it is a wonderful location, pleasantly near downtown restaurants, cafes, music, and the Georgia Convention Center. If one's preference is Buckhead clubs, that is a short ride away. It is located in a wonderful landmark bulding with spaceous rooms, with all amenities available, The staff are friendly and always asking how they can make your stay more enjoyable. The breakfast provided gratis, has a tasty variety of options from ... Read more

I must recommend that you not stay at this hotel. This hotel and its management were a major damper on our weekend in Atlanta. Terrible customer service from the manager, Yancy, and it seems like there was poor communication across the board between staff. On our first of three nights at the hotel, my friends and I awoke to a leak coming from the bathroom ceiling. Not just a drop or two, it was a steady stream of water from the light fixture on the ceiling in the bathroom. We called the front de... Read more

This is a solid place to stay if you are visiting the downtown Atlanta area. It is an easy walk to all of the area attractions, parks, and restaurants. They offer valet parking. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the prices are good for the location.

The hotel is nice and in a beautiful, old building. The service was good. Our room was small for a family of 4 but we weren't there for long hours so it was adequate. The valets were attentive and helpful. They gave us a bottle of water for the road. The breakfast was good for a buffet and all of the employees there were super! The food was ok - not terrible but not amazing. We had asked for a rollaway bed at the reservation but didn't get it and no one mentioned it. I honestly don't know where ... Read more

My wife and I stayed one Sunday evening in between visiting family and taking a Monday off to tour Atlanta. I booked a room at this location in advance because (1) I usually prefer Marriott hotels; (2) I enjoy the "residence inn" chains when traveling on my own dime; and (3) it appeared to be a good spot to tour some of what Atlanta offers to visitors. We arrived at the hotel around 6:00 p.m. They have valet service (be prepared - it is $28 per night) and the attendant was very pleasant and h... Read more

I stayed here for 1 night and enjoyed it. Front staff was awesome and the little restaurant you can order room service from was great! Room was clean and I enjoyed having a bathtub. Some of the Residence Inns only have showers now so I enjoyed the tub. Nothing bad to say. . . I would recommend for anyone staying for business. Great to have a full sized fridge and the complimentary popcorn was nice. :) Thanks for a great stay.

Booked a room last minute for the Braves Game/Concert, it was only a $5.Uber ride to game. Conveniently located near many attractions. Must Valet park, no other parking available, rooms were clean and bed was comfortable.

Easy to get to from / to airport (20 minute by rail), Nice (free) breakfasts. the best part was the price. I was there for a graduation from Emory University. Nothing available close by the university, any anyway if you could book it was more than 2x the price of this hotel. A taxi takes you to the the exact graduation venue.

I am a gold member and I checked in online. I requested a high floor, early check in and a room not near elevator. My room was ready before normal check in, I was on the 18th floor(20 floors), although I was close to the elevator I could not hear it. Perhaps I wrote in the notes near elevator vs not near elevator. I was asked if I had ever been to the area and I was provided information about the location. I don't believe I was recognized as being a gold member, however, I am quite sure he ... Read more

I love this hotel! Our family reunion stayed at the Residence Inn Atlanta Downtown in the last weekend of June 2016. We actually found this hotel by serendipity. We'd been reserved at another downtown hotel. That hotel was purchased, and in May we were told that they'd be unable to accommodate us. With less than 6 weeks to go until our reunion, we were scrambling to find an appropriate location. Residence Inn responded to the RFP and exceeded our expectations. In particular Brenda Archie, the... Read more

This property is nestled downtown near Phillips Arena, the World Congress Center and Centennial Park with plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. The property is well kept and the rooms comfortable. I had a one bedroom with separate living area that included a sofa and table, kitchenette table and chairs and a fully stocked kitchenette and a bedroom with a view over the city. There were two minor problems (one TV did not have very good reception and the other was the sink stopper would... Read more

Booked strickly for downtown stay and good senior rate compared to other Marriott properties. Arrived late evening but attendant was soon available to take my car to the parking garage. The desk clerk knew my Marriott Rewards status and welcomed me back, but did not acknowledge my profile for high room, extra towels and foam pillows. The socond day I stopped on our way out to please request extra towels. I saw the clerk write a note for housekeeping but when returning to suite that evening, no e... Read more

Haven't stayed in downtown Atlanta for many years and enjoyed the visit this time. This property is located a few blocks for The World of Coke and the Georgia Aquarium. Centennial Park is also just a block or so away. Since this is a downtown location you have to pay for parking which is expensive at $28.00 per day. Was hoping being a Platinum Elite with Marriott I would get a break but no. They do have a valet to park your car and retrieve it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room... Read more

This is the most amazing hotel that I have ever stayed at in all of my years of traveling. One would never guess that this fantastic hotel is Historic. The staff are so attentive and friendly. I have worked front desk before and the guys who work front desk know what great customer service is. The front desk guy accommodated me and put me on the top floor with the most amazing view. The lobby has the most beautiful chandelier making it to be so inviting and welcoming to guests. The room was so n... Read more

Location is great, rooms are spacious and clean. The lobby is really small and there is not much public space in the hotel. Residence inn doesn't offer a lot of services, but this is not a problem in downtown. There is a decent diner nearby the hotel.

We stayed in a suite with kitchen for two nights. The room was very clean, quiet, and well appointed. The kitchen had the basics. But the staff made it stand out as a great place to stay. The valet (Kaylan) was the most professional person, in his age group that I have ever met. Impeccable manners and grooming, good eye contact, and a great memory. Jessica at the front desk was so fast and efficient, she politely wait for us to complete our questions that she had the answers to before we finishe... Read more

Stayed here 1 night with 2 adults and a child. We got a 1 bedroom suite that was very small, so small that the bathroom door barely closed if you were using the toilet. The sofa bed in the living area took up the entire space so you couldn't walk through with it open. The halls and elevators are very small as well. It was a strange, claustrophobic hotel. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was nice. There are too many nice hotels in Atlanta to choose this one th... Read more

Atlanta was hoot, but very enjoyable. We could transmit to any part of Atlanta via Marta, located opposite my hotel. Georgia Aquarium, Coca Cola and CNN were at walking distances. Residence in was a good option as we could cook and also eat complementary breakfast every morning.
