when we checked in Vanessa was GREAT!! she was very friendly and helpful. some of the other staff could take lessons from her. some were rude and others that were work on the breakfast area was to busy taking care of there family while they were supposed to be working. I was try to fix my breakfast and the lady stepped right in front of me to fix someone in her family something to eat. I was not happy about that. the hotel was nice and clean

My sister and I were in Atlanta for vacation and wanted an inexpensive place to stay for the weekend. We knew this place wasn't going to be fancy, and we were weary at first due to me getting an email notification stating that our reservation may be compromised due to new management. When we first got there, they informed us that the water was not on. Now we really wanted out. We just traveled and were looking forward to freshening up. They told us that due to the inconvenience, they would comp ... Read more

So this place is good for what it is. However you should be very aware of what you're getting for your price. I ended up paying more because I was there at the time of a conference. Pros: - Location Location Location This hotel is in a fantastic spot. walking distance from all of the downtown places you want to see. - Staff The staff here is fantastic. They are friendly and very helpful - Breakfast Good Waffles and sausage and eggs. Lots of other things to enjoy with breakfast Cons: -Cleaning... Read more

The kingdom of heaven is at hand. We stayed a night at the Quality inn. They were so nice. Very Clean Great Variety of Continental breakFast. Super Friendly Staff Greta was very Resourceful. And pointed us in great directions when we had questions. Everything is very clean. Great deal for Downtown.

My wife checked in at 4:30 pm checked room and asked for bathroom to be cleaned. 2:00am when got back to the room the bathroom had not been touched. There were other people's hair in bathroom and between the sheets and on the pillows. The breakfast bar was terribly under stocked. This was not the staffs fault. The front desk women Vanessa was working the front desk and breakfast bar by herself. However, the initial rate quoted was 79 then was charged a total of 129 including tax. Then trying to... I can't believe this place has 3.5 Stars on Google! HA this place is a joke! Where do I begin, ok backstory,. My mom and I came into town early for a vollyball tournament and after riding around Atlanta at four in the morning for an hour this was the ONLY hotel with a vacancy so we had no choice. And now the Horror, first the area is sketchy. Second, walking across the street to the parking garage feels scary because the area is so sketchy. Third, our room had a window, but it was blocked by som... Read more

Nothing spectacular. In need of touching up and updating. But, if you just need a place to stay for a decent price, it's not a bad choice. Free breakfast is a nice touch. If you are very picky than it would be worth spending a little more money for a place to stay.

The Quality Hotel is now The Barclay Hotel. Over our stay there was a gnat and fly problem in the lobby, but that was our only complaint. Vanessa, the front desk attendant, gave good customer service and was very helpful. The hotel was in walking distance to the area attractions. The free breakfast was good.

The staff is very friendly and know about southern hospitality. We have stayed there over the years and welcome us back like old friends. We really appreciate that. Breakfast buffet has good healthy choices.

Even though the service and employees were next to none, the hotel was run down.. The elevator smelled molded, and our room was full of molded. Toilet was broken, ceiling was molded/walls.. And worst of all was the parking area, dark and across the street.!

Simple but good breakfast. Walking distance to all main attractions downtown including Georgia Dome, Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, Underground Atlanta, etc. Many restaurants and pubs also close by. 1/2 price parking compared to other hotels. Room/hotel definitely needs updating. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Sign outside says Quality Inn; not Barclay.

My friend and I stayed here because we saw a concert at the Tabernacle (amazing venue btw!). The hotel was a short walk to the venue. The room was well appointed and spacious. We two women had enough room for all of our things with space left over. The complimentary cookies and citrus water held us over until supper. The breakfast was nice with a variety of both hot and cold items. (The eggs were good. This is how I gauge a hotel's breakfast.) No restaurant on site (there are PLENTY in the area)... Read more

On arrival to this hotel we were made to wait for an hour as the desk clerk tried to locate our booking. She stated that they come through via fax and that someone had misplaced them. She made us do a new booking but I'm now receiving no show emails from the website we booked through! The foyer is full of tiny flies which hover around you while you eat breakfast. Gross. The location is excellent. Very close to the gondola, world of coca cola, CNN etc. The room was fine.

This property is the lowest price in the downtown area and you get what you pay for. Our room was fairly clean but I don't think I would spend more than one night there. Bed was hard and squeaked. Blind bloke when I tried to close it. Parking was free all day across the street which was a highlight. Staff was very friendly!

Look its a Quality Inn and for $89 bucks within a couple of blocks from Centennial Park, what do you expect. The place is old and worn down. I wouldn't expect my wife or family to stay there, but for one night it worked for me. However, I will say the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Wow, finally a great and affordable hotel that has a friendly staff, good breakfast, clean rooms and a very comfortable bed. A little older but classy, (building not the staff, lol). The workers went out of their way to accommodate us and everything went flawlessly, thanks

We were planning on attending a concert at The Tabernacle and wanted a hotel very close and not too expensive. We were pleased with our stay. We did not spend much time at the hotel, so as long as it was clean we were happy. The room and the bathroom were clean. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was free and was enough to satisfy our two teenagers and my husband and myself. The hotel is within walking distance of The Tabernacle, Centennial Park, Sky View, Coca Cola World, Georgia Aquari... Read more

My Husband and I just stayed at this hotel for one night, we live at Lake Lanier and went to a concert at the Tabernacle so figured we would make a night out of it. The hotel was dated, but that was not a concern at all. We had an amazing view of downtown - with a balcony that we could actually go out on (I feel like that is unheard of now), and Vanessa at the front desk was amazing. She was hilarious, and friendly, and helpful when we wanted to order food at midnight, and working as many hours... Read more

This is definitely an older hotel. Age is showing throughout the building. However, everything is clean and it is very budget friendly. You get what you pay for in regards to the furnishings. The bed was comfortable--I have back issues and had zero complaints about the bed. Actually, I have zero complaints about anything. What makes this establishment stand out is THE STAFF! I have stayed in 4 star hotels and 2 star hotels, and this staff is by the far the friendliest and most helpful I hav... Read more

I had to attend a conference at Westin but couldn't afford to stay there. Hence I chose Barclay which is Quality Inn (figured out once I got there). This property is the lowest price in the downtown area and you get what you pay for. This property is quite old and definitely needs a facelift. Breakfast is OK but can be better. Parking was free. Staff was extremely friendly, which was the only highlight.

The location of the hotel is perfect if your staying downtown. It is close to all the attractions downtown Atlanta has to offer. The staff is very friendly and they offer free breakfast which is always nice. I travel to Atlanta often and will be staying there again on my next visit. The hotel is a great value for your money

After several years of doing business several times a year in downtown Atlanta, this hotel is still our top choice. Conveniently located to everything downtown, you couldn't ask for a more competent staff, comfortable surroundings, and amazing customer service. Now operating under a new name, this remodeled facility has always offered clean rooms and facilities, a great breakfast selection, and very good rates. I would imagine it's the only hotel in downtown Atlanta where they call you by nam... Read more
