Being at this hotel was not a good time. My family and I drove from Peoria, IL all the way to Atlanta (12hr drive). We got to the hotel around 6:15am. I asked Andrea for an early check in amd she tells me she cant do it, I have to wait until 7am. Mind you, my family and I had already driven 12 hrs straight to get here. And i would have expected so form of courtesy as a long distance traveller. So we had to drive around town instead of being able to check in. Then we come back in at 6:45am and ma... Read more

After arrival 11: 30 pm, we called front desk to find out if there was water for sale at the hotel. The front desk staff said there was no water in the hotel, they out of stock, only to wake up next morning and realize there was a refrigerator on the floor stocked with water for sale. Added to that house keeping never replenish your toilet paper, you have to call front desk and they take forever. Meeting at the Convention Center. Only 0.5 miles, unless you have to walk around a music festival in Centennial park (which was the case). Nonetheless, a great value as compared to staying at the Omni. Quiet. Decent exercise room space but not much for equipment, not many other people using. Has bar, restaurant and pool. Clean, attentive service. Furniture in room less than average, veneer loose/coming off. That having been said, room was quiet, water hot. Good value and definitely woul... Read more

I visited Atlanta for three nights last week for a conference at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC). The Holiday Inn Express was one of the lower cost options among the "official" hotels, and I'm a fan of the chain. A Yogi-ish saying I like to use about city hotels is "the more you pay, the more you pay." At this hotel, like all Holiday Inn Express hotels, WiFi and breakfast are included in the price of admission. The hotel is fairly centrally located. It was a 15 minute walk for me to the... This rating is more on expectations than actual quality. Nobody expects any frills from a Holiday Inn Express but this one scores highly on its location. Less than 5 minutes walk from Peachtree Street and less than 10 minutes walk from most of Atlanta's attractions. There's a deli on the corner, a excellent grill/restaurant one block away and Peachtree Street has everything. No frills but there is a valet parking service if required. Downside: The rooms were very small but clean. Equipped with f... Read more

I took 6 students and 4 teachers to a speech and debate competition in Atlanta. We chose to stay here. We were not disappointed! Service was on point, the rooms were well kept and clean, and we loved the convenience of a coffee shop and restaurant right in the hotel. It is also centrally located. We walked everywhere we went the whole weekend. I'd definitely stay there again-whether business or pleasure.

We had a King executive and could not have asked for a better value. Very attentive service, super Quiet, (amazing in downtown!), great bedding, private, mini kitchen, separate living room also with TV and desk --all upgraded recently, and free hot breakfast. Location is perfect for all downtown. Our uber to the Ga Dome was $6.95 -- taxi was $19! Valet parking at $25 is way less than other downtown hotels. We ordered in from local Asian restaurant that delivered and we were very happy! Everythi... Read more

I just asked my 17 year old son what he thought about this hotel, we are doing a road trip. His reply "yeah, that one wasn't good". Exactly...it wasn't BAD, it just wasn't good. Maybe fault me, because everyplace else we have stayed has been excellent, but this location, I made a bad choice. Even worse, I had another place booked and cancelled it for here. Anyone staying at the other place loved it...here, not so much. The only thing really "wrong" was that the air conditioner ran continuously... Read more

The beds were incredibly comfortable even if the room was a bit small for our family. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee tasty and hot. The location of the hotel was safe as well as within walking distance to many venues. Valet parking was a comparable price to other parking options.

If you are used to the "newer" Holiday Inn and Suites this is not what you are used to. It's obviously very dated but they have tried to update certain features. I got upgrated to a king suite but the layout was odd and overall I did not feel that safe walking around the area. I'd stay somewhere else next time. Also I was not provided the free water as I normally do as a gold member; I asked for water as I left and was told that I they were out of water. The breakfast was average.

Stayed at this hotel while on vacation in Atlanta. The location is super convenient; we took the Marta from the airport and it was just a couple blocks to the hotel from the peachtree station. It is walking distance to all the downtown attractions and our room had a nice view of the sky view Ferris wheel. Front desk staff was not overly friendly but were efficient. The rooms are small as are the elevators since this is a historic downtown location. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and the ... Read more

This is an old hotel with a new life as a Holiday Inn Express. Staff is very nice and location is terrific. Just a few blocks from Centennial Park, Aquarium, CNN, Etc. The public areas could use some upgrading but the rooms are "okay". Bathroom fans are very outdated and need to be replaced. Value is good and as mentioned above, location, location, location.

We had to use this hotel at the last minute for our family reunion. The ball room was fantastic with a fabulous view of downtown Atlanta. Shaunda was very gracious at the front desk and Sharon Johnson, Director of Sales was amazing in accommodating all of our needs. Our family reunion was absolutely a success after the angst of having to book this hotel at the last minute. My family and I will be forever grateful to the staff of the Holiday Inn

The hotel is clean and staff are nice but it's nothing special. Rooms are really small and bathroom was EXTRA small. The room was so tight the bathroom door wouldn't even open all the way without hitting bed. AC in room was not cooling well enough. Complimentary breakfast was your typical comp breakfast. They did have a Keurig in the room, a fridge and a microwave, which is a plus. Overall I guess this is what you would expect from an express hotel.

Attended training class on the top floor ballroom Monday-Thursday. Pros: Breakfast was GREAT! Good food choices and friendly staff. Cons: Frequent interruptions by staff during the training. The room was not set up well for the training - a very small white board was provided. The bathroom was not cleaned until the last day we were there - ran out of paper towels on day one and had to borrow from the ladies room the rest of the time. There were frequent problems with the elevators. Bo... Read more

While in Atlanta, I stayed at the HIE Downtown. My room was a King Executive Suite: very roomy, comfortable bed, adequate A/C. The fitness room met my expectations. Breakfast had the usual HIE offerings, however I was disappointed during my 5 night stay bacon was never offered at breakfast. Check-In and check-out was efficient. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Not being from the city, valet parking is always a little crazy for us, but our guy was great and friendly, even when we forgot things and changed or minds, etc. The room was definitely the tiniest hotel room I had ever seen, but for one night, it had everything we needed, including a fridge. We took advantage of the ability to stay parked at the hotel well into the afternoon the next day to walk to the aquarium, with no extra charge which was great. Breakfast was also very good, especia... Read more

My husband, my college daughter and I went to Atlanta for a weekend getaway. I am an IHG member and love their beds, continental breakfast, and usually friendly staff. When I found a Holiday Inn Express in downtown Atlanta that said it was new, I was in and booked it immediately. I knew in advance, that it was a valet only parking. Maikol, the manager, was very polite and helpful when we went down to ask questions about our booking. We stayed at this hotel while attending an event at the nearby World Congress Center. It was a great choice for a business trip. We booked a suite which allowed for two separate sleeping areas. It was very convenient to have coffee and breakfast available. The hotel staff was very friendly to us (or maybe that's just a southern thing). It was convenient for our event, and we also got to visit the nearby aquarium.

This hotel was nice. The front desk was friendly and attentive. The room was pretty standard but was small and it had a tiny kitchen. It had a beautiful view since I had asked the girl at the front desk to put me in a room with a nice view on a top floor, she put me on the 6th floor. The hotel had a good breakfast that was included. I am glad that my employer was paying for the room.

I would really like to rate them higher because the staff and in particular Felicia were excellent. But the TV in the bedroom wasn't working and the it took the technician well over an hour to figure it out, but at least they had one on duty at night and he did work it until it was resolved so kudos to them on that. Parking is really tough in this part of town so you may want to opt for the $25.00 daily valet parking. Rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was fine and the location is... Read more

Great location, close to the main attractions of Atlanta. Clean rooms, great breakfast selection that varies from day to day and everything was in good working order. Parking is an issue downtown, so the $25.00 a day for valet may seem pricey but is practical. There were two of us staying and we were cramped, it's a very small room. Like you can't pass between the bed and furniture and everything is compact. I can't imagine a family being comfortable, but it worked for us. Main thing it's... Read more

Hotel staff (front desk) is less then friendly and worthless to gain information. Sales Manager is a delight and goes above and beyond. Hotel was very warm and large A/C or fans or humidifiers were all over the place. However, the meeting room on the 10th floor was very comfortable. Breakfast staff was very delightful and friendly. Because of the cost and all the other options in the area, not sure I would select this hotel or recommend it. Basically poor staff!

This hotel is about half mile or so from Peach Street (the happening place around Downtown). So if you are looking for a something that does not break your bank then this place is an option. You can walk to most of the downtown. The rooms are clean, functional and the hotel staff is quite efficient. The only crib that i probably have is the lighting in the rooms... i thought there were a bit funny and make the rooms look dated. May be they can consider the lighting up the rooms more brightly.

Great overnight stay in this clean downtown location! All staff was friendly, especially Tai, the valet! Tai even had our car waiting for us to go out to dinner! The $25 (24 hour) parking fee seemed a bit expensive, but compared to surrounding parking fees, it was the best price. Received a free upgrade to a king suite, which was smallish, but very clean and nice, as we were only in the room to shower and sleep. Yes, I would stay here again.
