The name Hilton resounds around the world. If you want the best in life then stay at a Hilton Hotel. Which ever city you are in there is a Hilton hotel just around the corner. We love the breakfasts there. Always hot and fresh and don't get me started on the coffee

Communication issues (not mine) with staff led to odd self-parking, check-in, pool area access/tidiness, and billing glitches that I have not experienced in this hotel in the past. Adjustments were made upon checkout, but not quite the experience we were looking for. The Executive Level was a treat, however, especially for the quality of the breakfast offerings--lots of fresh fruit and steel-cut oatmeal. I would stay here again.

I stayed on the concierge level. On the plus side, the view was great, the room spacious, the bartender friendly and the food provided good. On the negative side, the AC in my room did not work well, the concierge was not very interested in helping and the two most desirable restaurants (including Trader Vics and nice bar/restaurant on the top floor) were closed on Mondays. There was no way to find that out except that to see the door sign (actually the bar didn't even have a sign- the door w... Read more

Very nice hotel. The front desk was helpful with all of my questions, the room was big and clean, the pool area was awesome, and the bar made for a great night cap. The room didn't have a fridge, but they brought us one up in under 10 minutes. The hotel was right downtown. We were pretty much able to walk everywhere we wanted.

My experience was pleasant. The customer service was impeccable. The hotel rooms needs a little updating, like refrigerators and microwaves, and more frequent services of the HVAC system. The AC in my room appeared to be a little inadequate to be in Atlanta!

Excellent location, lovely room, very short waits for elevators, good services. The Hilton was the HQ hotel for a meeting we were attending, so we had free wife; otherwise, it costs money, which I find awful. We thought the hotel was amazingly quiet, but some of our friends on other floors complained of noise. We didn't take advantage of the hotel's restaurants, so can't comment on them. The hotel is the site of one of the only three remaining original Trader Vic's, which might be an inducement ... Read more

I attend DragonCon every year and the Hilton is my hotel. Their service cannot be beat and for my convention needs the location is perfect. I have eaten in the restaurants and used room service and found both to be fantastic. I have also found the front desk and concierge services to be great. This hotel goes above and beyond for it's guests. In terms of DragonCon specific suggestions: Aim for a lower room and one that does not have proximity to one of the 'lounge' levels if you like quiet. ... Read more

Soooo, we get there after a disastrous trip from Baltimore (we were supposed to be going to Boston - but that's another review). Parking is $34.00 a night, valeting is the best option, but that's typical of an urban hotel - no big deal. I want do to mention before I go any further, the bell-men (Howard in particular), the valet employees, and the manager of guest services (Alicia I think?) were AMAZING! The customer service would be the only reason I would go back! The first room we were gi... Read more

Unfortunately the weekend we visited was some kind of Tu Paq rapper birthday bash. Not only was the hotel swarming with people inside and out, the hotel was unprepared for this big of a crowd. Surely they had to have known ahead of time that their hotel would be packed! And yet there was no parking available, either valet or self parking , long lines to check in with not overly friendly personal. I think there were 3 people working the desk. Overall it was a good stay, the Internet was awful, couldn't connect and the front desk staff wasn't much help. The operator kept transferring me to the front desk, but no one was picking up and bounced back to the operator... Etc. This went on a few times before I gave up. The pool was good, but was closed on the second last day we were here, but we were given the option to use the pool at the Marriott. The rooms are clean and conformable.

As others have mentioned the hotel itself is a little on the older side... But it's still a great hotel and the customer service is outstanding! I stayed one night for a nearby concert and it was extremely comfortable! Everything in the room worked great and was very clean. I will be fair as there were two major conferences/trade shows, FBLA and ASSE. Rates are always inflated during these times and this was no different. It was entirely chaotic with teenagers in packs everywhere. The noise levels often became deafening. I stayed on one of the executive floors where the complimentary breakfast was the worst I've ever had in similar hotels with executive lounges. I was there for 5 days and the scrambled eggs and other "hot" foods were regularly fridge cold. The fruit was often partly spoiled, and the space was clearly a hastily converted hallway because there was never enough room to accommodate everyone who wanted to have breakfast there. I have stayed at many hotels in my life, this "Hilton" certainly rounds out the bottom of the list. I use quotations simply because this hotel does not live up to its name. Where do I begin? Let's start with the positives. Katrina at the marketplace was very nice, she deserves a raise. I also enjoyed how the hotel was connected by sky bridge to the Hyatt and Marriott, this was a nice feature. Now, the negatives. This hotel is hot, really hot. We were in Atlanta for the Peachtree Road Race...we stayed at the Grand Hyatt the first three nights, as we got a deal on it through the race. However, it was not available for the final night of our stay. We chose the Hilton for our final night, based on two things...it's Hilton name, and it's close proximity to the Skyview Atlanta. We are a big fan of Hilton chain, so when we are in Atlanta we decided to stay in downtown Hilton Atlanta. Also it is closer to all the attractions, anywhere between 10 to 15 minutes walk. This is a nice hotel. The pool area is especially nice. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and it's an affordable place to stay, but the other hotels are nicer! I was able to attend a conference that occupied the Hilton, the Marriott Marquis, and the Hyatt Regency. The Hilton seemed nice until I walked into the Marriott, which is so much nicer! Great location in the heart of downtown Atlanta, just a block from Peach Street. We checked-in on a Friday night, and between the long wait at Valet, the airport-like line at the check-in desk, and then the wait for our luggage to be brought-up, it was close to 45 minutes total. Room was clean and above average with a great city view. We enjoyed the rooftop tennis court and pool. Hotel definitely caters to the business/conference traveler and not so much for the family. Parking was expensive and there were very few spots available. If you want to sleep this is not the place you want to go. The staff is rude. The manager is even more rude. When I pointed out to them that they had loud teenagers drinking on their property, they pointed out to me that it was none of my business. Silly me. I thought I got a room so I could sleep. Can you sleep with music blaring? Kids running down the hall at 2 am? I know they are not booked but they would not offer me another room. I picked up trash in my room when I got there. Stayed here for one night on business. I typically rely on Hilton to label their properties appropriately and have had success relying on the Hilton brand. This property is old and tired and should not be a flagship Hilton, especially at $300 per night. The room was dated, somewhat dirty with a very old bathroom. I would not stay here again.

Really substandard property. Unclean room, understaffed, terrible valet parking operation, old, dated facilities. Really great breakfast and breakfast staff. Luckily I've stayed at multiple Hilton properties around the world and recognize that this property is an anomaly. I will certainly never stay here again.

Absolutely rude front desk personnel. I've been a Hilton Honors member for many years, and I was previously very happy to say that nobody at check-in ever argued with me. The staff was very rude, and very begrudgingly helped me resolve my issue after I had to defend myself multiple times.

It appears the hotel is in the middle of a remodel. Most of the Lobby Public Areas are finished or nearly finished, however the rooms are "tired". My room had tile grout issues, rust on the bathroom door bottom, loose wallpaper, and was really due for a total overhaul. In fairness the Room Service quality and speed was very good so it helped offset the decor. The check in staff was efficient and everyone was smiing!

I stayed here for 3 nights while in town for a Braves game. The room I had was nice and comfortable. My biggest issues with the room were 1) the pillows were too soft 2) the TV channel listings in the guest guide are seriously out of date 3) they don't carry Fox Sports South or FS1 so I couldn't watch the Braves game the night I arrived.
