Two years ago I stayed at this property for my Nephews graduation and thought I would never return. Then decided to give them another try as the location is convenient and they do not use up too many reward points. But I regret giving them a second chance. About 10:30 AM, I called down for room service and was told they are closed. I went to get a snack from the mini market they setup with a window behind the front desk and the front desk person was too busy speaking with fellow worker to co... Read more

Stayed 3 nights for our son's college graduation. Hotel is run down. Mold on bath ceiling, tub faucet dripped, paint on ceiling peeling, carpets dirty. One of three elevators was closed to repairs. Internet down 2 of 3 days. Pool was tiny and filthy, No one ever went in it. Also, not relaxing b/c pool is right next to very loud freeway noise and people can smoke in the tiny pool area. The staff is outstanding, but they can not make up for the very poor conditions of the guest rooms and common areas. Lobby is nice, but don't be fooled. Dirty carpet, wall paper peeling off, ceilings need repair, room windows - just bad. I was told the hotel is scheduled for remodel in late May 2016. don't stay there until after the remodel. This is one of my preferred hotels when staying in Atlanta. It is close to everything. I opt for this one because of the free parking (No need to do the downtown ones that have a $24/day parking fee) The staff is amazing, the hotel is very clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet is GREAT (Although it is $13)

This hotel stay was the worse so bad, we had to leave the day before our checkout date. First they were remodeling the hotel which there was no notification when we made the booking. Bathroom was broken on arrival: Shower had 2 modes of scalding or freezing, a handyman had to come replace the nozzle. I would guard my internet passwords at this location, Google informed me that my login had been used by an unknown device within 24 hours of my stay. I immediately changed my password(s). Everything was under renovation. Only one elevator in this tower of a facility . Not good. Moved to another Doubletree location across town and it was like night and day.

Spent 3 nights in Atlanta for business, the hotel was chosen by a colleague. It was quite cheap, but the quality was very average... Although the size of the room was acceptable, the décor was outdated, windows could not be opened (I was afraid they would fall on my head as the system was in bad function). I could not close the curtains, so would be waken up by light early in the morning. Bathroom average. But the bedding was very good and pillows comfortable. There was also a coffee-tea machi... Also there wasn't a safe in the room, and I didn't feel comfortable leaving my valuables.

This hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and it was close to a lot of things in Atlanta. When we first walked in, we were welcomed with a smile. Our room was clean, and the bed was super comfortable.

Clean room, overpriced. Very little hot water. Very well located. Considerably overpriced in my opinion. Courteous staff, adequate breakfast overall an average experience but not a good value for the money.

My family came to this location after evacuating from a hurricane in Savannah. We needed the room for 2 additional nights. The rates increased over 50 % and I was told the rate couldn't be adjusted. Rooms were available however the rate couldn't be lowered. Therefore my family had to pack up and move to another hotel in a better location and at a comparable rate. I just felt like under the circumstances the rate should've been considered. Taking advantage of desperate time.

The hotel management was very understanding with moving us to other rooms above the hotel renovation noise. The front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant staff was excellent. Our favorite waitress was June. If all wait staff was as caring as she, it would be a better world. She gave us a ray of sunshine in a otherwise dark time. Queen Elizabeth

Friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean rooms. Newly renovated rooms are excellent. The walk in shower is almost like home. Hotel is located close to I-85 and excellent shopping. The hotel is located on a service access road; therefore the local traffic noise is not a problem.

Great Value but check to make sure they have completed their renovation or get a high floor to get away from noise. Staff great though to accommodate you. Food really good and staff very friendly. Convenient to I-75 and I-85 minutes from downtown Atlanta.

The staff at the hotel was great. The man at the front desk was very friendly; however, the sheets in my room were not properly sanitized, and I was infected by bed bugs. It was a terrible experience that I am still going through today. They were all over my body and my whole apartment had to be sanitized. I am still itching after one month. Terrible. I have spent over $100 on treatments for my body and for my apartment.

Construction noise during day, but no direct adverse effect. Fridge and microwave in our room were helpful. Room adequately clean. Did not try the restaurant. No complaints, would stay again if remain reasonable rates. Recycling containers in room (usual Doubletree double trash can).

This hotel really deserves 2.5 stars but I'll give it 3 stars. Positives: Location. It is situated right beside a McDonald's and on the other side of the McDonald's is a gas station and a liquor store...the entrance to the freeway (I-85) is about 10 seconds from the hotel. Price. I booked my room about 2 weeks in advance and paid around 90.00 + per night. I did notice that the price went up to over 200 +per night by the time we checked in and I feel sorry for anyone who paid more than I did... Read more

Just another stay at the DoubleTree Hotel Atlanta/North Druid Hills, right? I had a last minute business trip that came up last week, in which the options were to stay at the Hampton Inn right down the street (which I should have chose), or the Doubletree. Well, I wanted to save my company money, so I picked the Doubletree. A routine two night stay turned into a nightmare weekend, and as of writing this (Monday morning), much is not resolved. The Good - Checking in with is easy, but... Read more

This was a decent hotel in the hussle-bussle of Atlanta and was close to various amenities. The hotel offers most comforts except the rooms that face the major highway. The room was noisy throughout the night and it was difficult to get a nice sleep. The hotel should, at the minimum, inform the guests at check-in of such problems so that they could decide whether they should check-in or take another hotel. That's distinguishes between a good or a bad hotel.

Counter Staff unhelpful. No hot water due to incorrect installation of new plumbing in room. Counter woman had bad attitude resulting in poor customer service and poor resolution to problem. I have stayed at this hotel before and this is not the first time I've had issues. Will avoid this hotel in the future unless I have no other options.

Shuttle service was a plus. The driver (Keith) provided excellent service. Waitress provided excellent service. Did not get her name. Front desk cordial and helpful. Only think lacking was restaurant choices and was out of items on the menu. Good place to stay.

I stayed at the Doubletree for a business visit to Emory. I do want to say that every staff member I encountered was extremely pleasant and courteous. That's about all I can say for this hotel (at least on this visit). When given the key to my room I went up to find the key didn't work. I went back downstairs and was informed the battery on the lock must have died and I was given a new room and new key card. It was apparent the hotel was undergoing room renovations - you could smell the new... Read more

Perhaps I am spoiled by staying at Hampton Inn, and assumed that Double Tree by Hilton would give the same service and thoughtfulness to their guests. This hotel was very disappointing. I did e-check, and called ahead to tell them I was arriving late, yet they told me the room might not be available when I physically arrived. Very poor customer service. The room was old and the windows did not have the view I had arranged with my e-check in. The real reason I am even reviewing them is to complai... Read more

Been here a few years ago. Nothing has changed. Still under remodel. Things that didn't work properly then don't now - Shower curtains, drawer. Worst of all, the door latch did not work, in either the first or the alternate room provided. The safety chain while inside was some comfort. Scary and terrible. At least the wait staff and the bar are friendly. The cookies warm as always. Hope they fix this one. Shame to loose out on a nice location.

I arrived late at night (about 4 am, actually); running a little behind schedule. I had called ahead to the Double Tree, and they checked me in by phone so I wouldn't lose my room. When I arrived, the room was perfect. Granted, as tired as I was, I probably could have slept on cinder blocks and been okay; but the fact is, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. I got a solid 7 hours of sleep and was completely refreshed and ready to go on the next leg of my trip. I look forward to staying there... Read more
