We usually stay somewhere else, but it was booked. We stayed here because it was close and affordable. The rooms themselves are dated but clean, but the bathrooms were atrocious. The shower was dirty, the light fixtures were crusted with mold, and the towels were stained with some mysterious red goop. The price was right, but I would recommend taking your own towels and sheets...

We had made our reservations through booking.com. When we arrived, the hotel did not have any record of our reservation (apparently, booking.com had not transmitted the reservation through the system so even though we had our "booking" number, there was no confirmation number issued). The hotel was very busy do to a sporting event but even with all of this, the manager worked with us for over an hour to help us and was able to honor our reservation and even found us adjoining rooms! (Our reserva... Read more

I got there not feeling good. Then after my stay we felt better. The staff and management made it day after day hospitable to help us feel better about our stay. We got to use the manager's grill. Then we were allowed to be in the celebrations of a managements party for his daughter wedding. So, it was a good vacation experience. I hope everyone vacationing tries this Days Inn location to get a better away from home experience of pool side memories.

This hotel is right around the corner from the downtown area and just across from the UGA campus-- we were surprised it was so inexpensive considering its location. From the price, it has a lot to offer: comfy bed, continental breakfast, nice TV, and it's in a quiet part of town. It's easy to hear folks immediately outside the rooms (thin windows/doors) but we didn't hear our neighbors at all. The room we were in was very spacious and the A/C worked wonderfully. We found a few ants in the room b... Read more

I didn't spend much time in the room other than to sleep but the bed was comfortable along with a nice flat screen tv. Shower and bathroom areas were clean and I heard no outside noise as I was on the 2nd floor. Continental breakfast is offered with the normal items. Check in and check out went smoothly. I'll stay again when in the area.

The GOOD: The rooms were clean. The staff (especially the cleaning staff) were super friendly and obliging. The BAD: The entire room amenities were rather old .In particular, the AC there was antediluvian and couldn't cool the room down except for a tiny spot near the bed. The UGLY: The breakfast. I could drink milk and eat bananas, everything else was ready-made meals packed in tons of plastic.

Although the rooms were clean and the service was good, the exterior and hallways were littered with furniture and cigarette butts. The pool area was crowded with smokers so I had no desire to use the pool.

My room was clean and comfortable. Originally I had to reserve a smoking room, but upon arrival, the staff was able to provide one that was nonsmoking.

The room itself was very comfortable, however when preparing to leave the water coming out of the taps of both the shower the sink we're brown in color. The staff member on duty that morning was extremely cordial and very apologetic even though it wasn't his fault but he did try to make amends and allowed me to use another room to shower. He was a total opposite of the staff member who checked me in. Complaints about being placed in a smoking room for a non-smoker as well as trying to reach him ... Read more

Had to work in the area, but also wanted to attend Athfest, a local street festival. The hotel was only a block and a half from the main stage of the festival, and all the great Athens nightlife was within easy, safe walking distance. The lobby is fine. Breakfast was cereals, and assorted items to be heated in the microwave. Sufficient. The king room I had was a nice size. Big TV, comfortable need, nice amenities including Scope. The room was very clean, and though it was 100+ degrees outside, ... Read more

The manager did a pretty efficient job of kicking us out the pool, robbing us of the last two minutes of free swim. I'm glad someone took on board my advice from last year and blocked the gutter preventing me from sleeping in it. Spontaneous fireworks display was wonderful and we were all delighted that the staff never followed through on their threats to call police. 10/10 we'll see you next year ;)

Staff considerate, room clean. Everything worked more or less. Daytime highs were in the 90's during my stay in Athens. Nothing Days Inn could do about that. However, my room was very cold near the (window) AC unit, but hot elsewhere. Particularly the bathroom, where the floor and walls were literally hot to the touch. Very strange!
