We checked in early after a fiasco stay at Shepards Beach Resort. Staff was very gracious and accommodating, making special effort to get us in suite early. Beautiful suite in tower section, two balconies with rocking chairs. Full kitchen set up, separate room from bedroom with two flat screens, free wifi. Pool is great, beach is close and great sandy expanse with gentle waves, perfect for kids. Was able to park car in garage under hotel, out of the sun. You can walk to area restaurants and nea... When I retired on 4/29/16, Dearest and I began our road trip back to Dallas from Miramar, FL. We stopped at this Residence Inn on Treasure Island. We spent 3 nights. Things I liked: the one bedroom suite with kitchen, 2 balconies with views, breakfast in the mornings, coffee near the check in counter, parking spot, the pool, the beach, the walking path down to Publix, the friendliness of the staff. Things I didn't like: nothing I can think of.

This was my fist trip to Florida and though it was for work, we wanted to be close to the beach. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, kitchen accommodations were nice, staff was very friendly, breakfast was always delicious with a lot of variety. We stayed a couple extra days and our families joined us. Perfect location for walks on the beach at any time of day or night. Many restaurants within walking distance. A great variety of activities within 20-30 min drive. Couldn't have asked for a be... Read more

Good location, 2 bedroom suites are nice, well equipped, clean, good beds. Good hot breakfast, has a bar for cocktails. Covered parking keeps you out of heat, the beach is beautiful. Staff is nice, housekeeping staff is very nice. Only issues are: it is pet friendly, which is good, but staff does not respond to barking dogs left in rooms. Also, too much cigar and cigarette smoke from neighboring balconies in spite of no smoking signs on balconies. Nice view of bay and beach, suites are generous ... Read more

Stayed here previously in 2013 for a brief two nights, and have been longing for a return. We arrived early on a Tuesday at approx 1145 am right after our flight and were told although we were unable to check in at this time that she would call us when a room became available, the clerk also was very helpful in suggesting places for lunch, and took my wife's suitcase and stored it(she was concerned about her makeup in the trunk of a hot vehicle). Front desk also provided us with a parking pass a... Read more

My husband and I took my 16 yr son and his friend to see a few Yankee/ Rays games, we decided to stay here because of the great reviews it had. Plus all the perks you get like, free parking, free wifi, free breakfast which was delicious every morning, location on the beach and free towel use for both. Good towels not the small paper thin towels you get at most places. This was our second trip to Florida. (Four yrs ago we went to Daytona. We love it out here.) This hotel feels like a home away f... Great service, clean rooms, amazing views. We traveled with our two fur babies, 50 lbs huskies and this is our favorite hotel. Dog friendly and very accommodating. Pets are not allowed on beach but there is nice bike path for long walks. Awesome dog beach 30 mins north, honeymoon island is a must! Pet rooms are limited to floors 1-3 but view is still spectacular on third, ask for corner room. Elevators were very slow so we just used stairs so it was no biggie. Food was ok, nice breakfast buffet ... Read more

Right on the beach and huge suite with furnished kitchen. Loved the Balconies and the ocean view! Couldn't beat the location and the staff was extremely helpful, nice and accommodating. Beach is nice and the cabana's were 30 dollars a day or 25 if you rent more than one day. Pool is good for the kids but we loved the beach! Huge White Sand! Will come back again in the future.

Our family stayed at Residence Inn, Treasure Island recently. Three adults, two small children and it was perfect! We had a two bedroom suite. Lots of room for little ones to spread out and play and adults to relax. It had everything we needed and was very clean! From our balcony we had a beautiful view of the beach! Housekeeping were on top of anything we needed, extra towels, pillows, they even cleaned our room late one day because we had a two year old napping. We had room 519. Close to the ... Read more

I am a loyal Marriott customer and wanted to use some points to stay on the beach over Memorial Day weekend. I don't typically stay at the Residence Inn brand (I prefer Marriott, Marriott Vacation Club, Courtyard, etc...) but the location of this hotel looked nicer than the Marriott that is further north towards Clearwater. We requested an early check in and were able to get into our room at 12:00noon. The location is great, right on the beach. The beach is lovely and the water is shallow and cl... Read more

This Marriott property is optimal for staying on the beach. Large apartment like rooms with great views and the beach is a mere walk by the pool and out the gate. The only issue was the single teeny tiney elevator that had to service all eight floors. However, the stairwell was convenient so we used it many times. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, just need to rearrange the set up. Big line for the make your own waffles which blocked almost everything else.

Wow what a great hotel and located right in the beach, with views of beach and gulf. Staff was fantastic, and helpful. Provided local dining suggestions and a couple of band aid's when my daughter cut her foot on a shell. I didn't pass a single staff member who didn't say hello or hold a door. Great area with wonderful vibe, a bit less crowded than Clearwater area and beach just as nice. Fun area and fantastic property.

I felt upon leaving the hotel that this was a good trip. The weather was beautiful , the staff was courteous, the room was relatively clean. There was dust on the top of the refridgerator and the knob on the shower in the hall fell off, but my group was happy. It was not until I was unpacking at my next destination that I realized I had left my bathing suit at the hotel. I called the hotel about that and was forwdarded to housekeeping voicemail. After further review of my stuff I realized that I... Read more

This is a good Marriott property located right on the beach. The rooms are large and mine had a nice side view of the beach. I had four kids in tow and never felt cramped. I liked the rocking chairs on the patio and we sat out there in the evenings. The property has a hot tub and a small but decent pool or you can go directly to the beach and rent a beach umbrella and 2 lounge chairs ($30)(not affiliated with the hotel). We are Marriott (lifetime) Platinum Elite members, which means we have spent a lot of money at many, many Marriott properties over the years. We made our reservation over a month in advance and requested a room on a high floor (floors 1-3 are reserved for guests with pets) with an ocean view. We called from a Marriott Vacation Club near Disney World the day before we were going to check in at Treasure Island and asked about early check in. We traveled in June for my niece's bridal shower and booked an ocean view two- bedroom. While it is a great hotel site, I have NEVER had a worse experience. I, unfortunately did not check my beds and awoke the next morning to nearly 30 bed bug bites. As a veterinarian, I am well educated in ecto-parasites. I inspected the bed and indeed found the small black specs. I went to the lobby and respectfully asked the manager to step away from the desk and informed her. She had several sets of people "inspect the room" and said I was wrong, and that there had been two other guests with "v... Read more

Hands down the most friendly staff we have ever encountered. These amazing people will bend over backwards to ensure that you are happy and have the best stay. I'd like to especially point out the employee at the pool bar who was making sure everyone had snacks and ice in their drinks- we saw her in the lobby earlier during our stay, and she always had a smile on her face. After visiting relatives for a few days we decided we wanted to stay at a hotel on a beach. The location was perfect! The Mexican Gulf-Beach in front of the hotel is just fantastic. In the area there are several good restaurants, and the Dali-museum 20 minutes from the hotel was a good experience. We had a very fine two room apartment. Our only complaints are the pool, which is too small and the breakfast. The food is not exciting and there are not enough tables.
