You can walk out of your room and be on the beach in 1 minute as it is on the beach..not across the street. Restaurants are right there and the rooms were clean and neat, but you're there for the beach which is beautiful!

Older hotel that has been well maintained. The room was very clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Gorgeous beach and view from room. Staff is very nice and helpful. My only complaints were minor, the door needs to have some weather stripping put around it to try to muffle the music from the bar across the road, the shower head needs to be replaced and the water pressure was a little low.

This was my third visit to this property. And it was the best experience of them all. All of the staff is always very friendly and helpful. I explored more of the resort, and enjoyed the hot tub, patio and beach side restaurant.

Great location with a Cafe and Restaurant. This is one of the best places to stay in Treasure Island. Bilmar is a older simple Beach Hotel that has been renovated very well. Staff is well trained and are very personal.

Excellent in all regards! My wife, daughter and I have stayed at the Bilmar for years and have always had a great experience. This past week my wife's parents joined us for a generational vacation. The Bilmar with it's location provides amenities and activities for all ages. The entire staff is friendly and courteous. On this particular occasion we decided to stay in a suite with adjoining rooms for my family and had requested a balcony to enjoy the view overlooking the beautiful beach, Gulf of ... Read more

I lucked out choosing the Bilmar Beach Resort last year for my vacation. I had a room on the first floor that opened onto the beach (not close to the water, but to lounge chairs on sand). It was so cool to just step out of my bedroom to a relaxing easy chair. It was fall and even though it was still warm, there were cool breezes that just heightened the relaxing atmosphere. Check in was quick and easy, but the parking lot was full and we did have to carry our bags to our hotel room. The hotel ga... Read more

The staff was great, the service was wonderful, and it's only a little walk to the beach. I like the food downstairs and sometimes they have entertainment. I have been going here for years, and I have never had a problem. The pools are always clean, and they have a roof top hang out, that when I went though. They have a lovely place to have formal event's, and around the area it is very live.

Recently, my family of 5 had a fire and had to quickly find a place to stay. The staff at the Bilmar went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and gave us a chance to relax in the evenings after a long day of work. The pool was clean and never felt over crowded. The staff from the café would deliver our orders to the pool after we placed our order. The food at the café was good and affordable and the drinks were even better. The kids enjoyed movie night, and the patio games made available... Read more

As a frequent visitor to Treasure Island Beach, we are always looking for new places to try. Although we had visited the Bilmar for dinner at Sloppy Joe's, we had never stayed at the resort. We booked a Gulf Front Efficiency, located in the Beaches building, and were assigned to room #215. At check-in I found the front desk staff to be cheerful and polite. This was a relief as a phone call earlier in the day was answered by a young woman who sounded very inconvenienced by my questions. We we... Read more

Our room was on the second floor, on the Gulfside! The view was beautiful!! The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Everyone at the Bilmar was super friendly and nice. We were allowed to use the fire pit to make Smores! Use of a kayak/paddleboard for free for one hour was an awesome anmenity! The breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much and I would recommend the Bilmar to everyone!

We had a great time staying at Bilmar Resort. Parked our car and that was it. From the beach, pool, restaurants - we all had a blast! Booked two balcony beach view rooms for 7 of us with kitchenettes. We brought food to cook breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast (yes, pans, toasters, fridge and stove in rooms) strawberries, orange juice and coffee. The facility was great, service was excellent. We called for more coffee and body soap and it was brought up in 10 minutes. We plan to book it again f... Read more

We had plans to go on a cruise that fell through. We already had the time off and decided to fill the time with a trip to the Gulf coast. We called several places and decided on the Bilmar. The price was good and it was beach front. We are so glad we did. We met a family that had been going there for years. The kids enjoyed playing on the beach and swimming in the pool. We didn't want to leave and will definitely return!

The BilMar has nice clean rooms, beautiful wide sandy beaches that are much more laid back than Clearwater or St. Pete Beach, There are lots of great locally owned restaurants nearby (we loved Foxy's and also the VIP across the street) as well as places to go and listen to live music while relaxing in the evening (Ricky T's across the street). Conveniently located to everything, including amazing downtown St. Pete with a vibrant live music scene and amazing art galleries.

The food is great and can be deliver to your room. The beach is Outstanding!! I am a Florida resident and couldn't ask for a better experiance! From the sunsets to just a walk on the beach, everything is so close you don't even need to worry about the car!!! The staff is kind and very helpful with any or all of your needs.

We enjoyed our first night so much, that we extended our stay for an additional night. The staff at this resort are very nice. We highly recommend that you enjoy breakfast at the hotel. No need to go anywhere else for food or entertainment. The rooms are clean, spacious, beds are comfy but the bathrooms are small. White Sandy Beach and Beautiful Sunsets. Overall, it was a great mini-vacation and we will definitely stay at this resort again.

Walking into our room we were amazed at the view. Beautiful beach and blue waters. The issue happened when we had a family member check us in and leave a parking pass and another key card on the bed that were missing when we arrived. We called and were not upset at all just thinking they had either placed us in the wrong room or a housekeeper unknowingly removed the stuff. The front desk gal Lia I believe stated "well I'm sorry I can't help". This led to about two hours of waiting for the manage... Read more

Great staff. Great atmosphere. Great view. I really suggest you get a room with a balcony overlooking the gulf. Our family stayed there for four nights and had a great time. Between the beach, pools, beach bars, live music and games on the roof top we never had to leave the hotel to find something to do because it was all right there! We will definitely be staying there again and again and again!

If you want a smoke filled environment then this is the place to go. We encountered smoke while sitting on our balcony and while walking around the buildings. There is a designated smoking area which you have to walk through in order to get to the front desk. In addition, the A/C broke down in our unit more than one time. You have to carry your chairs to the beach which is about a one block walk. The photos are deceiving that the beach is close to the building. I would n... Read more

Lots of white beach. Hotel is set back a distance from the water, but when you get there, it's great for picnicking, sunning or a long walk. Rooms face the water providing views of spectacular sunsets. Grocery store and pharmacy nearby. Room ammenities include bar frig, microwave/ toaster combo. Bathroom is a bit small. Some rooms have a balcony. Room attendant was fabulous. 2 Restaurants on the premises. Central location for driving anywhere.

When you book a room and provide a credit card it should not incur any charges or "Holds" to that card. I was told it is just on file. Wrong, they charged me or held the funds of the total cost even after I paid with a different card at check out. Beware. Hotel charges amenity fees, state fees and some others. The quotes price does not include these.

Just returned from a nice four night stay at the Bilmar Beach Resort. The room was very nice, beachfront, and had a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, two burner stove, plates and cups. Beds were comfy! It is a bit of a walk to ocean's edge, so try not to forget anything in your room. With the amenities fee, you do get beach chairs. What they don't tell you though, is that you need to pick up the beach chairs at the resort, and not down on the beach. The restaurants are decent. Rooms were cl... Read more
