"Let me preface this review by saying I can read 20 great reviews of some place and 1 bad review will alter my decision. I'm picky when it comes to cleanliness and friendliness and don't care about much else e.g., pools, free parking, wifi or on site restaurants.
All the reviews about the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk needing a face lift/upgrade are all true. It's an older hotel and you can tell. It's not glamorous or trendy by any means but it does however have a world class staff. I have been in some of the most elegant hotels and have never been treated so wonderfully as I have by the employees here. The minute you step out of your car you experience it.

The Front Desk staff are so happy and helpful any time of the day and employees in maintenance and housekeeping walking by make sure they stop and ask how your stay is going and if you need anything. Most hotels have employees trying to avoid eye contact with guests so you don't ask for anything,

The club level lounge is amazing and they have a wonderful variety of hot and cold food, great snacks and drinks and Starbucks Coffee. Dante, the concierge provides top notch service and is very helpful. All of the employees act like they own the place and you're visiting their home. It's great!!
ALso, their is a free shuttle that takes you anywhere within three miles of the hotel. We took advantage and had front door service to the Tampa Bay Brewing Co. Restaurant in Ybor City and were picked up when we were done. (Great not having to drive after some beers)
All in all, if you're looking for luxury this is not the place for you bu if you want a nice clean room with comfortable beds and AMAZING service then definitely stay here!!"

"The hotel stay was wonderful. The room was very clean and spacious. We had a king size bed which was very comfy. Everything needed was accomodated. The front desk personnel was helpful. Having a full restaurant at the hotel was cool - we ate breakfast one morning and we took advantage of the full BAR !!.
Overall stay - perfect. I would go again."

"When my wife and I checked out the pics of the hotel, we were impressed. When we got there it was a whole other story. First, the thermostat in the room didnt work properly. We asked the front desk several times to check it but to no avail. Second, the bathroom was moldy. There was mold all around the handle in the shower as well as the corner of the tub. And thirdly, the parking was terrible. You have to use their valet. There were two functions going on at the same time at the hotel. We waited in line to get back to the hotel for an hour! If you are going to make everyone use valet then there should be plenty valet available to accomodate all the functions as well as the normal guests."
