Managed to get a decent sized King room with a view over the river but after opening the sliding glass door to the balcony, I could not properly close it and lock it. The free wifi was pathetic....the free wifi at the airport was more reliable and faster. The rooms are equipped with older decor, but I was very satisfied with the servicing of the room - water replenished etc every day. Bed was quite comfortable. Access to the Riverwalk was a benefit as it was the best / nicest way to get to t... Read more

Chose Tampa Riverwalk as we wanted something downtown, at a reasonable price with a balcony. We have a baby so wanted to be able to sit on the balcony while she was sleeping. We booked a Deluxe room just for a little extra than the standard - bigger room, balcony and river view. Definitely worth it. Right on the river. Hotel has a complimentary shuttle to take you anywhere within 3 miles but we didn't use this. Pool was quite nice- nicer than most we looked at for this price. Bathroom ok- sma... Read more

You know your stay at Sheraton River walk Hotel is going to be a good one when you pull up to Valet Parking and meet Marcus. Much could be said(Good of Course) about him but I will let you see for yourself. He is the first impression of what other Hotels should sample themselves after. He and any of the other Valet People will take care of you and your vehicle. Next of course is the front desk and check in. The check in greeting was a warm one. This was a staycation as we live only one hour away but had never been to downtown Tampa. The Riverwalk is just fantastic! We had our bikes, which are allowed on the Riverwalk. All the museums, restaurants, and very active river activities right out the door. Hotel has a nice pool and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Valets were very helpful with biking activities. Hotel is not new, but very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend river view for a few extra bucks.

Excellent hotel right on river walking path. However, we seemed to have "lost" our wheel cover during our stay. With it being valet parking only, it wouldn't surprise me of what's going on behind the scenes. Of course, no proof, but I will strongly advise to check all wheels (or do a walk around) before leaving their facility. Again the hotel itself was great!

I travel regularly for work, so have a lot of experience to draw on when it comes to hotels. The first thing I would say is that Sheraton hotels across the country are inconsistent; some are great and some the opposite. This Sheraton in Tampa fall in the not so great category. The regular nightly rate is astonishingly high for the low quality. The location is generally good, although one could say the same for almost anywhere downtown. Some areas of the hotel look like they have been improved, s... Read more

Had to make a quick trip to help with my elderly father, who was transported to Tampa from the emergency room two hours away. This hotel is extremely accommodating to guests with loved ones at Tampa General, they have a shuttle with the caring drivers, who helped me transport my elderly mother to visit my dad...the restaurant has friendly staff and options for every appetite..We have been so happy to know that our accommodation were one less thing we had to worry about.. great job!!

Very nice views of Tampa River Walk (if you upgraded to balcony). Room pricing was reasonable, put parking was a ripoff. The sign for parking said $15 daily, but when I received the final bill it said $24. They explained that $15 was daily, and $24 was nightly. Who stays daily at a hotel?? The hotel is old and needs upgrade. We had a leak in our room over the A/C return unit, and room was damp and smelled a bit. The sliding door to the balcony took the two of us to open and close. Also, the ra... Read more

My wife and I had breakfast at the hotel. Our waitress, Meko was amazing and so friendly. She was so helpful, professional and had a great personality. We got the breakfast buffet and she offered to help with taking some our plates back to the table. Meko provided first class service and because of her we would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk hotel for an interview at Tampa General Hospital. The hotel contracts with Blue One shuttle service for an easy and affordable $10 trip to/from Tampa International Airport. The hotel is beautiful! The pool is crystal clear and a perfect temperature. The hotel room was clean and had a balcony with a pretty view overlooking the river and famous University of Tampa campus. I enjoyed tasty appetizers, wine, and friendly service at the Rivers Edge Lounge. Sher... Read more

They moved us with no problem. The halls smelled old, the rooms needed some updating. Restaurant was good for breakfast and reasonably priced. Grab your free coffee first. The pool was small, nothing to brag about. Aloft next door has a fire pit and pretty cool pool. The riverwalk has a very nice view even better at night. ... Read more

Joseph at the main lobby bar is an amazing mixologist. On multiple trips to this location I have asked him to surprise me with a drink and he has never let me down! Always makes something interesting, new, and delicious. He is also an amazing host, he always has a smile, is extremly pleasant, and intriguing in his conversing. Thanks Joe, always a pleasure.

I came into this stay with low expectations due to other reviews. I was really hoping for my experience to prove me wrong, but it did not. This trip was to celebrate my partner's birthday. A getaway with no kids, no dogs. Just peace. I was aware of the mandatory valet parking and was prepared for the charge. So no qualms there. The valet employees were the most courteous ones in the hotel. My partner and I felt special whenever we spoke with them. Two thumbs up to the valet. At check-... Read more

Having visited this Sheraton over 5 times, the staff continues to impress me. From Amanda at reservations, Joseph in the bar, who really makes you feel at home with great conversation and incredible mixed drinks, to Meko , helping to make breakfast at club level easy for everyone. These people take care of you even when "hiccups" arise to put you ease. Thanks to them all for making our stay wonderful. PS: Ask Joseph for his secret drink special of black cherries, pomo juice, and basil!!!

Sheila went above and beyond to make our stay easy and comfortable. Housekeeping in most hotels is usually under appreciated. We want to praise Sheila for doing a great job in assisting us and making sure our needs were met. The hotel itself is a little outdated but her service made up for it. In a place that needs a little updating and the shuttle service needs to be more helpful, Sheila was a shining star.

I selected this hotel based on being a Starwood Property and a suggestion of the convention organizers (bulk rate) as I am not familiar with Tampa. It is a nice sized property, located on the River with a walk along the river to the Convention Center. Close enough to walk twice a day, not so close that you are going to "run" back to your room. The best part of this hotel was the shuttle/shuttle driver and the valet team. Any interaction with the Front Desk was void of any personal connection, ... Read more

The Sheraton Riverwalk is in the downtown Tampa area and very close to banks, law firms, etc. so its a good location if you are there for a business trip. The facilities were nice with a large comfortable room. The dining facilities were also good. If you are looking for a mid priced hotel with a high (though not luxurious) level of quality, the Sheraton Riverwalk is a good choice.

I stayed for a convention I was attending, the convention center was about a 1/2 mile walk on the Riverwalk, this is an easy flat walk back and forth. The main lobby was nice and in good shape. The room was relatively large with plenty of space. It was clean however the furniture, carpet and bathroom fixtures definitely need an update. The bathroom was tiny, no way you could get more than 1 person in the room unless the other person was in the shower. The bathtub drained slowly the first day wit... Read more

In day 8 of a 3 week stay. Pay extra for the river view. The "city" view in a 6 story building is a view of a 12-story parking garage or a 42-story building, but that's not the problem. With the city view, you hear every car, truck and motorcycle. Add in the garbage trucks, well, you get the picture. Put it this way, the gift shop sells earplugs. After asking seven days in a row, they finally put hand soap in the lobby restroom. Plus side, staff is very friendly, and the food and bar outstandi... Read more

This Sheraton is certainly showing its age. We arrived to find there was no hot water due to a boiler issue, which at first was understandable, but became inconvenient when it was time to shower and that water was still cold. The rooms are small and stuffy, and the decor is dated. The windows and curtains were smudged and dirty. The beds were quite small; they weren't uncomfortable, but weren't overly comfortable either. The bed was clean however, which to me, is the most important thing. ... Read more
