Debby was our maid and she was absolutely wonderful. She provided us with an extra cot and any other necessities like extra creamer, sugar, blankets, trash bags, and pillows. She was also super friendly. We'll definitely be back again just for the amazing service!

First, this is not a resort or 5 star rated hotel. IT IS a mid-range business travel or family vacation type hotel. This is an older hotel and much of the furniture and fixtures are rather worn or dated. If you expect the Four Seasons for $135 a night I suggest you book elsewhere. Good location main reason I stay. 10min shuttle ride to/from airport. Many local restaurants and attractions within walking distance or short drive. That being said, I've had no major problems in the seven times I'... Read more

I loved this hotel. It's one of the best I've ever stayed in all over the U.S. Great friendly fast service. Kids were happy too. Room size was perfect. Sofa bed comfy. Restaurant good food too. Bar had good drinks.

The lobby is nice and the hotel overall will remind you of an embassy suites. As a platinum spg member, it was nice and well kept. The rooms are comfy and the bed is very nice. It is a nice change to stay somewhere where checkin was friendly and quick, and check out was easy. Great location to the airport which was what we were looking for, since we had an early flight.

Our first visit to Tampa. Check in was fantastic and we were greeted with a smile and upgrade. We went to dinner and returned in a tropical monsoon. There was extremely limited parking but we found a spot by the employee only entrance. I called the front desk and the manager came and let us in the back entrance. A negative is the parking (always seemed very full) but the response and help was exceptional. Rooms were a bit dated as many are in this area. Customer sevice and the location of... Read more

Mr. Clark and his staff are outstanding the moment I walk in the hotel,Very very cheerful and helpful. I really needed that.... After having a very bad day from traveling all day in that tropical storm. Thanks for putting a smile on my face. P.s. Ms.Debbie also was very help as well. I really needed to wash my hair and she gave me his new product that the hotel has. When I went down to the bar, a group of ladys says my hair smells goods. I love the Sheraton :-).

This is an older property that you can tell was probably an embassy suites back in the day. The room decor is modern and the bedding was comfy, clean and nice. My main issue was the noise from the highway. I had to wear earplugs as our room faced the highway and in addition there was a very bright vegas style sign that shined right into our room making it as bright as day at nighttime. Our tub also had a broken stopper so we switched rooms the next day. Since we were having to wait awhile fo... Read more

Having stayed here many times before, this hotel is centrally located for our activities while in Tampa. Nice hotel, great front desk employees and rooms are good. The restaurant & bar continues to be my gripe. With the exception on Lynn, employees are lazy and food iffy. This area gets turned around the hotel would climb a couple stars in my opinion.

I have stayed at this Hotel many times. It never disappoints me. The rooms are very large, clean and the staff is wonderful. Debbie the lady who general assist with all things is wonderful. I could not figure out how to get the silly coffee maker going in the morning, she was up in a jiff and I had my hot coffee in minutes. The hotel is quiet and close to everything. I also might add that they have shuttle that can take you just about anywhere within ten minutes from Hotel, very convenient.

We booked the Sheraton Suites since it was convenient to the Tampa Airport and had an indoor pool. We were traveling with our young daughter. The suite offered a more family friendly option than a traditional hotel room. The rooms were clean and nice. The staff was very friendly. The onsite restaurant is limited. The indoor pool was nice next to the gym. The pool had a heavy chlorine smell but was warm and offered a nice respite for our daughter.

This is the first time I stayed at this hotel and after a long travel day, it was nice to get to the hotel so close to the airport. The staff was pleasant and very helpful by suggesting restaurants and even giving us coupons. Mr. Clark at the front desk was cheerful and informed me that since I was a Starwood member, I received a coupling for a free cocktail and appetizer at the restaurant on the premises, St. James Restaurant. The guest services are always friendly, professional and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. I added prepaid breakfast to my bill. It was a nice buffet with service. The exterior of the building left much to be desired. The parking area had trash everywhere and broken glass. The garbage cans were full. They advertise as pet friendly buy have no grass or pet run.

We stayed July 1st to July 4th - The staff are amazing! from the front desk, the shuttle drivers to the staff at the restaurant (st James) - I don't understand the negative reviews of this hotel. Yes the hotel is a little dated but it is still very nice. The rooms are suites and are huge. They have everything in the room that you need to have an enjoyable stay. The gym is a little small. the inside pool does have a strong chlorine smell, I actually couldn't bring myself to get in it. I did use t... Read more

Well it is hard to believe a hotel could be this bad. We Booked 2 rooms under the distinct impression this hotel might have improved. Boy were we all wrong: Room 1 smelled of smoke in fact the balcony had an ashtray filled with cigarette butts and our group is all anti smoking anti tobacco. The desk clerk said sliding doors all locked well better leave the front desk and go look as they are obviously not all locked as the ashtray was filled to the top. Does housekeeping even do any QC here quit... Read more

Stayed overnight with my daughter and grandson for overnight while visiting aquarium. This is average hotel but I think they may have been short staffed. I waited 40 minutes to check in. This was around 4 pm. Room was good size and comfortable. Big turn off was MANY room service trays with food layer in hallway from time we checked in until leaving following day! The pool area also had plates of food and dirty towels all around the pool. The staff was nice, restaurant waiter was nice but ... Read more

Visited in mid-July and have stayed here before, the value for the rooms and proximity to the airport is great. It is next to Charleys, which is really awesome for steaks and dining. The rooms are large and clean, the bathrooms are a little small and really could stand to be updated pretty soon. My one complaint this time is that the AC was terrible (it was in every Starwoods property we stayed in on this trip!). It blew on and off and I woke up several times about to roast at night, not sur... Read more

My family and I have stayed at this hotel for over a month while looking for housing after moving to the area. The hotel itself is very nice, they are preparing to do a big renovation which trumps the outdated building structure and small issues within the rooms. I could pay the same price and stay in a hotel with a full kitchen but the desk staff and supervisor, the shuttle drivers (ALL OF THEM ARE SO NICE AND EXTREMELY UNDER PAID) and the wonderful Executive Chef Luis in the St. James restaur... This hotel was just so beautiful inside, especially at night when it's all lit up. There is a restaurant inside the hotel, along with little bridges and waterfalls along the way. The rooms were very clean and spacious, the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our suite was very cozy and the beds were more than comfy to sleep on. And best part, we didn't hear out neighbors or anyone above us. Just over all a very pleasant stay

I read these reviews and honestly I got nervous. If there is on thing that I cannot stand is an un kept hotel. It was okay, it was not spotless, but it did not feel dirty either. Basically the hotel is older but for an older hotel it is well kept. The service is top notch and the shuttle drivers were very nice. I stayed for two days and I would do it again. One note I will make to housekeeping is they need to clean the bed skirts more often they looked a bit dingy.

We spent the night at this Sheraton based on it's convenient location. The location allowed us easy access to good restaurants and the airport. The staff was friendly except in the lounge bar near closely. We felt unwelcome at the bar near 10pm, which would certainly seem like a time when the bar would expect customers and not trying to avoid them in hopes of them going away. Anyway, the rooms were nice but a bit dated. The room was also a bit stagnant with odor and had what seemed to be a ... Read more

I chose this hotel because I thought it was close to Busch Gardens...they advertise 6 miles, and maybe there is a back way there, but it was 8 miles almost all highway....nonetheless it still worked for us. I would have given this hotel a BETTER score had it not been for the very loud inconsiderate and annoying housekeeping staff. Just when you think you could sleep in the morning they start banging the doors and shouting to each other extra loud as if to chase you out of your room. It's like they don't consider the guests that checked in really late the night before. As a platinum guest, they do offer you free breakfast, extra starpoints on SPG, and other extra amenity. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy much of it since we checked in late and checked out really early (before 5 am). The check-in staff was nice and helpful. The room was dated. The lady at the checkout told me I would get my Hotel Folio on email but 3 days later I am still waiting for it. Other than that, nothing too memorable (positive nor negative).

My wife and children stayed at this hotel while I was recovering at Moffitt. They all continually expressed how nice the hotel was, how beautiful it was, how it was close to everything. It was recommended we come back just to stay and hang out in the area to relax. They loved the atmosphere of the atrium area and enjoyed just being at the hotel. It was nice for them to be able to do so. We will come back as a family soon for one of my follow-up appointments.

We stayed here overnight before heading out to Siesta Key. The hotel and facilities were well appointed, close to the airport and CLEAN. The room was comfortable and spacious. This hotel would be great for families, singles or business travelers. Breakfast was plentiful. The best part of this hotel however, was the GENUINELY FRIENDLY and kind staff. From the shuttle drivers to the wait staff went above and beyond to accommodate my family & I.

The suites are comfortable, very independent since these have their own rooms and a living room separated from the room. It is a very cleaned hotel. In addition, it has a gym, bar, restaurant and a pool. The only reason why I'm giving it three stars is because of two reasons. The first one because the pool has to much clorox. The smell of clorox is so so so strong that when you come inside the pool which is a closed area with a roof next to the gym you start crying and coughing. I do not unders... Read more

This is a nice hotel with a nice open area in the middle (may have been n embassy suites at one time?)... the rooms are large and the sitting area is good for doing work, getting ready or for someone else to stay in the same room and not infringe on your space. The bathroom was a bit small and dated but otherwise the room was large and open, quiet and easy to access. The staff was very friendly. Parking was free and easy to access.
