Stayed here for 4 nights with adult family. It was Dads treat as he'd been before and loved it. Dad and brother played tennis and loved it. Intimate tennis groups and a good laugh. The rest of us enjoyed the amazing breakfast buffet!!! Where you can get literally anything you can imagine! The grounds are stunning, very well maintained, great pool areas and amenities. We did wine and cheese tasting and they were very generous with the wine which was nice! There were a lot of staff in the hotel... Read more

We keep coming back for the Tennis and stay for the hospitality. Our last Guys Tennis Trip this spring had a hiccup...on our first day for the first time our instruction was beyond sub-par. So much so we were questioning our experience and desire to come back in the future. Well...after our inquiry about it to the Management Team, real genuine inquisitive questions were asked, a kind apology was passed along and our instruction for the next two days was FIRST RATE! I recommend Saddlebrook an... Read more

Had the opportunity to stay at this resort this past weekend. Although it is a very pretty resort and very clean, in my opinion the rooms were a little worn looking and could use an update. Bathroom fixture for the shower head was half off the wall and there were stains on the ceiling. My daughter's rooms air conditioner made a noise all night and did not work properly. Service from the front desk was unacceptably slow. The girls did not know what they were doing and it took me over 45 minu... Read more

I was here for a 4 day conference with 500 attendees plus extra support crew and any family that was brought along. I was pleased with the service and support we received from the hotel staff. My favorite bellmen, Will and Gary, were a riot! I loved talking to them and asking questions. The resort is spread out, so you need a ride from the conference center/main building to your room. My companion had recently had foot surgery so the rides made this event easier. My overall concern was with min... Read more

Our resort accommodations were clean and comfortable. The resort grounds were meticulously maintained, however for the the price, the rooms needed more updating. We lodged in a one bedroom suite on the second floor. The bathroom sinks were very low, even for an average sized person. The suite had a few upgrades, but all in all, the unit was noticeably dated. Most of our meals were included in the cost of the 3 day conference. Breakfast was so-so. Lunch and dinner were average to slightly above ... Read more

This is an outdated, overpriced disgusting place. The pool looks like a public YMCA pool and the staff are useless, rude and inappropriate. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The golf courses and tennis facilities are nice but they are the only positive qualities about Saddlebrook. This place feels itself well however is a complete letdown once you arrive.

I went to the resort specifically to work hard on my tennis game. So my perspective may be different than some visitors. The courts were incredibly nice, as good as any I've played on. The pros were very outgoing and very enthusiastic about tennis. I would think teaching drills all day would get boring... but they had great engagement. I sat by the pool a bit, and ordered from the poolside care. Very nice pool, pretty good food. It was certainly good enough for me. The rooms were certainly ... Read more

We traveled to Saddlebrook for 3 full days of tennis clinics and received excellent clinics from one of the seasoned pros, Rob Stephens. The drills and strategies were targeted to our individual levels of skill and strokes optimizing what we could take away from the clinics. With 4 players and one pro on a court time was well utilized and paced very well.It was fun and interesting and we learned a lot from Rob and from the video session analysis with Thai. Getting a pro who can understand "your... Read more

I was there on a business trip/conference for a week. The conference room that I was in was small. The food was very good but the drinks were extremely expensive. ex.($6.00 for a coke, $10.00 for a drink, $7.00 for a beer). Our room/suite was very nice however wi-fi was not available unless we paid 13./day. There were water spots on the ceiling from where the roof had leaked and we had a trash can in the closet collecting the water. We also had some raccoons that were living in our ceiling.... Read more

Stayed at Saddlebrook for an adult tennis camp. To say that it was a fantastic experience is an understatement. Everyone was extremely attentive and went above and beyond to make my stay not only fun but also productive (this was sort of a business trip for me). The tennis instructors (Shawn, Tai, and Zora) were top notch and had a lot of really detailed technical advice to offer. They told me to make several tiny adjustments in my tennis that resulted in a huge difference. Last but most importa... Read more

This place is the absolute worst! It is not a resort. It is a cluster of buildings with outdated villas that smell musty and are totally outdated. You feel like you have stepped back in time 20 years. Golf carts are available to take you to and from, but sometimes the wait is over 15 minutes. You are forced into valet parking and trying to get your vehicle at night means having to wait for the one person on staff to take care of any arrivals, drop them off at their clusters before they can take... Beautifully located in a park like setting in an area called Watson Chapel. Lots of little lagoons and golf courses complete with all types of tropical birds and alligators. Not the nicest pool area but lots of opportunities to play tennis if that's your thing. The Spa is smallish and basic but clean. The dry sauna did not work while I was there. The hotel is a cluster of buildings which require a brisk walk to get to and from your room and restaurants, the front desk, and conference rooms. They... Read more

We have stayed at Saddlebrook for the past 8 years (for a week, each year), while visiting our son and his family, who live in Wesley Chapel. The Resort grounds are beautiful and the one and two bedroom suites are well maintained, while noticeably aging. The two Arnold Palmer golf courses are worth the price, and fun to play. The tennis courts are plentiful and appear to be excellent. The area where we noticed the biggest changes in appearance was the swimming pool. While the pool is large a... Read more

We have been to Saddlebrook every other year for the past 10 years - the opposite year we go to Bahamas - Wesley Chapel is on the outskirts of Tampa Bay and close to Bushe Gardens, St. Pete's Beach, Clearwater Beach, Sawgass which has restaurants and malls great shopping. The resort has great pools, tennis, golf, and much more. Can't wait to,go back in December,

We have been coming here for over 20 years to play Golf with friends for a weekend. This place is going down hill. Rooms need upgrading, my room smelt very moldy, a/c not very cold. Dempsey's food is actually very good, despite the menu not changing in years. Both Golf courses are a mess! Worst condition since we have been coming here. Not worth the money! Considering the time of year and low occupancy, they are not very accommodating at all, shutting down the bar at 11:00 pm. Last time for us a... Read more

Family hit Saddlebrook for a weekend to just refresh from a hectic few weeks. July is a great time to go. About 20% capacity, so we had a huge pool almost to ourselves. The kids had a blast playing pool basketball and other games, while we adults used poolside bar service and the swim shop. Everyone we ran into was friendly and helpful from the valets and bell hops to the staff at the pool. The kids did a half day camp with the s'kids club. Shout out to Erin and Brittany for entertaining o... Read more

This resort is quite dated and lacks good customer service. Parking is valet only. If you decide you must stay here, do yourself a favor and take pictures of your car before the valet drives off with it. If your car comes back damaged, they will not take care of it.

I went to the NEA Summer Academy that was held here and rented a regular room. There was no fridge in the room and the ice machine was broken the whole time we were there. The onsite restaurants were way overpriced. There was absolutely nothing to do at night other than swim or leave the grounds to eat or shop and that was an ordeal because you either had to take a bus to your car or valet park. The wifi was horrible--- Didn't work in the workshops or rooms. On a positive note, the staff was ver... Read more

Everyone was super nice especially Lindsay the girl who drove us to our room from valet. Although the room was dated, everything else was well kept and beautiful. We took long walks around the grounds and it was so quiet and peaceful. Kind of pricey but, Overall really nice. Would visit again.

Stayed in this community - you drive in and it's just gorgeously landscaped. Pools are nice! DJ on the weekend by the pool. Rent a golf cart- well worth it. It's a large resort and getting around on a golf cart is the way everyone does! If you are a golfer or a tennis player - this is their specialty. You can eat in the resort or go to the many close restaurants. Grocery and shopping close by. I would return to this resort again with no hesitation.
