I have been traveling to Saddlebrook Resort for the past 29 years in the spring and for 16 years in the fall. Each of these trips have included a group of golfers from around the United States and Canada from 10 to 24 players. While there have been a couple of years where some conditions were affected by weather, Saddlebrook has been an oasis to to those of us escaping winter. The accommodations have been great, clean, fresh and very comfortable. The layout of the resort is excellent, though... Read more

I loved this place. The hotel rooms are set up like condo's. They have some age on them but are still very nice to stay in. I absolutely love the pool. It isn't heated or if it is its not to a very warm temperature. It is definitely one of the biggest outdoor pools in Tampa. They even have a DJ out at the pool. It's a great pool to have a drink or two at. Nice poolside bar. I found the restaurant overpriced but pretty good. I had the steak. The sides are really good, especially the asparagu... Read more

During the holidays, my stay was ruined by daily security checks inside the resort. If you forget your resort card, you are thrown out from the gym or swimming pool. The guest lists security officers have are out of date. And, since it is holiday and hardly anyone is working in the resort except for the resort security officers, you are out of luck. Very unpleasant!!!

My daughter loves the tennis at the resort. With many pros and coaches she improves greatly with each visit. The resort is very kid friendly and safe enough for my her to walk around on her own. The amenities such as the pool are amazing and very entertaining with board games and outdoor movies, kids love it! The only downside is the rooms and the location. Rooms are very dated and in need of a major update and Wesley Chapel is a nice little town, but there is nothing to do outside of the resort... Read more

Pretty consistent with earlier reviews..... property itself is very well maintained and manicured. Rooms are very dated. I was there in 1995 and little has changed in the rooms, shops or dining areas. I figure it would probably cost $500k just to swap out all the gold! The attention to family has to be commended. Movies at night for the kids and a dj all day at the pool.

Two couples from toronto Canada figured on fitting in a three-day jaunt at a tennis camp. We chose Saddlebrook more for the surroundings (finely manicured), the staff (rumoured to be super attentive), the cuisine (noted as being as good as it gets in Tampa), as for the quality of its tennis instruction (reported as being top notch.) Well, all of the above proved to be true. The most exceptional experience for my wife and I came as students of Phillip, our tennis pro for the only two lessons we g... Read more

I was a summer junior camper for 2 weeks. I liked the tennis program-challenging, good pros, talented players. However, the resort itself was somewhat disappointing. My room was nice and spacious. I don't ask for much. When I would go to breakfast, I would very often be pushed aside by the staff just because I was a camper and not an adult guest. That was a major turn off and they were not eager to seat me. The lunch and dinner options are very sparse, and you get tired of the food very quickly.... Read more

My girlfriend and I booked a long weekend here to take advantage of the Hopman program and had an absolute blast. Howard, who runs the program, goes above and beyond to make sure you are having the experience that you came for. The pros we had were all great, but Phillip stuck out the most. I am not exaggerating when I say that I came home and two of the pros at my club immediately said they could tell what I picked up at Saddlebrook... and it was all Phil. I have been incorporating what ... Read more

Come to Saddlebrook for a work trip, and it seemed like a wonderful place. My room was large, clean, and very high end. It's Florida, so you will find a bug or two, but there is nothing to be done about that. My only issue there was that the resort was so incredibly spread out and sometimes it was difficult to get a shuttle. There were times I had to walk from one end to the other in a dress and heels, which was the opposite of fun. If you keep your eyes peeled, you can even find an alligator or... Read more

We spent a Thanksgiving weekend playing a ton of tennis, hanging by the pool and enjoying the fabulous weather at Saddlebrook. The 6 of us shared a 3 bedroom condo which was in great need of updates, but it was clean, inviting and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchenette was perfect for us and did have bottle openers and corkscrews, which were needed for our evening libations. The tennis was great, much better than my last visit in April and I would highly recommend Roberto as a coach,... Read more
