I read the reviews before I booked my stay at LaQuinta INN near the airport on Spurce Dr. The reviews were great and our 1st night there was great. Simmons beauty rest beds were amazing to sleep on. But, there was no microwave or fridge in thr room. My fiancé and I stayed for 4 days, 3 nights. The 1st night was fine. The 2nd night we noticed the water pressure from the shower head was low. Then the 3rd night it was super low. We also noticed black mode in the shower as well. The housekeeper kep... Read more

Was ok nothing special . Itched for a good bit nice rooms and polite staff . Very close to busch Gardens which is why we stayed . If your going to busch gardens for a day here would be okay to stay although theres other hotels which apparently is better. Outside the rooms etc wasnt pleasant dont think ill be back

Stayed at La Quinta Tampa Bay Area near U.S.F./Bush Gardens and highly recommend this hotel. Clean, great breakfast and friendly staff. Great value. Request for first floor room was met and the microwave and small fridge in room was useful to have. Hotel near many restaurants.

My son is a student at USF and we are from NY. We stayed at this La Quinta for all of our visits for the past four years. Clean and the staff is great. Very friendly and accommodating. Reasonable rates. Joined La Quinta rewards and earned several fee nights and upgrades. If you have a child at USF and need a place to stay I definitely recommend staying here.

I was not expecting much, I know the hotels in Tampa from yrs ago. But this one shines like a star as far as im concerned. Nice bed, great towels. Extra friendly staff. I guess I was expecting second rate for the price but as I told the women at checkout, I found my new fav place in tampa.

Very nice stay. Beautiful landscape and pool grounds. Nice breakfast fare and pleasant, clean atmosphere. Quiet, and in a very nice area across from USF. We will definitely plan to stay at this location again. It is very conveniently located to most venues and attractions around the Tampa Bay area.

Stayed many times- service was really good. The cleanliness of the room was not up to standards. Had to use towels on bath floor because it did not look like it had been cleaned at all. Over all I felt the bathroom needed a good cleaning.

It was ok, nothing extraordinary and breakfast is poor. It was a convenient location for us. The staff was not as welcome and warm as in other hotel chains. It is like they do not enjoy their job and they don't understand that customer service is about serving others without expecting anything but for that they need training and supervision.

Our family's first visit for USF orientation. The hotel is directly across from the campus and easily accessed from major highways (275, I-75) Not a fancy place, it is clean, well-staffed, and provided hearty breakfast options. We will return for future trips.

We live about 45 minutes to an hour from Busch Gardens/Adventure Island and have passes so go often. Occasionally we decide to do other things or both parks in one day and don't want to drive back so we get a hotel. Such was the occasion when we stayed at LaQuinta. We were disappointed. The front area and lobby of the hotel look great but once you get back to the area where the rooms are the common areas are dirty. The elevator is dirty as well. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Nothi... Read more

We found our room to be large and it included a loveseat, coffee table, desk, chest of drawers. The price for the room was very good. It is in a good location near Busch Gardens and MOSI, and there are numerous restaurants and shopping nearby.

Checked in late evening, it was overpriced! The room was big but dark, not all lamps in working order. The room was moldy smelling, also detected cigarette smoke. I found hair on the bathroom floor. The toilet seat was not centered or sanitized. The soap and shampoo was very sparingly distributed.(1tiny bottle) No complimentary tea or coffee packets for the tired traveler. The bed appeared to been layed on, the pillows and sheets were crumpled, oddly on one side. No trash liners in waste baskets... Read more

We always stay at this LQ when in Tampa to visit Moffit Cancer Clinic. The service is great, the rooms are nice and the breakfast is good . We also like the proximity to things to do in Tampa. Bush Gardens, the science museum.

The entire staff was incredibly friendly during my stay. One particular staff member, Jose, went above and beyond to make my experience as pleasant as possible. No matter how random I thought my questions or requests were, he gladly offered to help, offering a smile and assistance. When I asked for recommendations, he gave me plenty of options and even offered to call me a cab. The cleaning staff was incredibly friendly as well. I didn't catch his name, but there was a man performing maintenance... Read more

I chose the hotel because of its proximity to Moffitt Cancer Center. I was pleased when I arrived because it was only a mile away, and they give a discount if you are there for that reason. Many restaurant choices, a short drive away. The bed mattresses where a little outdated but still slept fine.

A pleasure staying here at LaQuinta Fowler Road. With appointments at Moffitt Cancer Institute, ,Shrinners Childrens Hospital, or the American Cancer Society you are within a short easy drive of each. Don't hesitate to use this hotel for your stay.

Good location close to USF. Staff was friendly, breakfast good. Although, housekeeping forgot to make up our room one day and when I told someone at the front desk, they told me everyone in housekeeping had gone home. Also, stayed on third floor and it was very warm when you stepped out of the elevator. I was told the boiler room was on the same floor. Would stay there again, will maybe ask for another floor this time.

The only real problem I had was that some of the power outlets were loose and I could not charge my phone in the places I really wanted to but everything else was excellent. The breakfast is good. Service good. The pool once you get out reeks on your skin and the limit is 5 ft so I couldn't really do the things I wanted to but over all is 4 stars.

Everything was wonderful. The beds were comfy. The room and bathroom were big and came with everything you could need, like desk, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, coffee, and free wifi. They also serve a decent free breakfast and they sell theme park tickets at a discount! Well worth it!

The hotel rate is what brought us to La Quinta because we will be spending many nights in Tampa while my daughter goes to college. The rate I was given for family weekend is way too much for the hotel quality!!!! I don't feel it should change each time we stay with you......

We have passes to Busch Gardens and live about 2 hours away, but this time we decided to stay in town for a couple of nights to enjoy the park a little more flexibly. We have a small dog so the "Pets Stay Free" policy here appealed to us since other area hotels charged $30+ per night for her. The rooms were okay. They weren't super clean, but I've seen worse. The beds were pretty comfortable although queens vs. fulls would have been a much more comfortable option that this hotel did not have... Read more

My husband and I just spent the weekend here (8-12-8-14-2016) We had the best time. Nicole at the front desk was FANTASTIC! There also was a housekeeper named Lydia who was just as good. We did have one little issue at the pool, Saturday we were going to go swimming only to find a dead frog in the pool, when I went to let them know I was told they didn't have anything to use to get it out. It's been a couple of years since I've stayed at any La Quinta, and now i remember why I've stopping staying at them. The hotels are old and tired. beds not comfortable at all and same for the pillows. The room is clean but could use a new coat of paint, The bathroom also is old and should be updated. I used to stay at La Quints when ever I traveled but now I see why I stopped.

This was not the fanciest hotel I could find but it was the most reasonable. My trip to Tampa was mainly for Busch Gardens and to visit Ybor City. This place is in the perfect location, close to the highway and only blocks from the entrance to Busch Gardens. The rooms are clean and nice. The free breakfast was very good and fresh. The rooms were cleaned and straightened up for us everyday. Just great people there. Only downside was no mini-fridge nor a microwave in the room.

Stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites on E. Fowler when my family came down together to help my brother move from Virginia. We had a King room and our little dog stayed too....for free! Very comfortable bed with ample supply of pillows. Our room came with a refrigerator, MW, and coffeemaker, standard from what I was told. The AC rocked! It was very quiet, kept the room really cool, the way we like it.

It was perfect for what we needed. Now I'm not one to complain about chipped paint, or a blemish on the wall. What mattered to me was, it was clean, It was safe and it was comfortable!
